    February 2021:

    Second PDF: by Post and Visa Class: CR1: 2 / IR1: 20

Not sure which one of the documents we should be going by... but I see an upward trend here...

I believe is the second one, because (my understanding) the first it's considering the applicant's birth place not the post/embassy/consulate whereas the second is considering the post/embassy/consulate.

Like, If I, as Brazilian applied for consular processing from Argentina. In the first file I'd be in Brazil, but in the second file I'd be in Argentina/Buenos Aires.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, as you said, the numbers are really increasing

Nothing here. Does anyone know if anyone with a DQ from March or April 2020 (who did not request an expedite) got an interview letter?

My expedite was denied. My DQ is May 2020.

I heard someone got interview date (Apr 12th) and with DQ Mar-20. They received the email from Rio 2 days ago.

I'm the same, expedite denied and DQ May 2020.

I´m May as well. So, from your information - we have to wait for them to get through the rest of March and April before getting to ours in May. So AT LEAST another 2 months, if I am doing the math correctly.

    "TMJ" lol...

I really hope so, or maybe they blocked first half of April for us "voices in my head" as a friend would say. Because April interviews that I saw so far are from 14 on.

I am glad you´re seeing an increase. I am likely looking in the wrong places. Do you know what is the DQ date of the latest non-expedited interview? I want to gauge where I am in line.

I requested the expedite in mid February through NVC.

I'm in a "zap" group where we're people shared those infos. From what I could gather, Feb had mainly expedited cases and half Mar, some that had interviews cancelled last year were schedulled to late March.

regarding DQ, it's quite a mess, I was DQ'd in mid May/20 and some that are around the same date are still waiting.

    Hello friends,

Does anyone have any updates from the RDJ consulate? I was so hopeful a few weeks ago, thinking that the interviews were moving along... but some weeks have passed and I have not seen the increase I was hoping for.

Additionally, my expedite request got denied. Anyone know where they are up to in DQ date? Is it still February 2020?

    Thanks so much!

I noticed quite a lot o interviews so far and we might see the numbers in that report in a couple weeks. Also, a few people got interview dates in April already. Hopefully they will pick up speed now.

When did you request expedite? We request through congresspeople on 19 and they denied 2 days ago saying:

Per correspondence from your office, the National Visa Center (NVC) forwarded an expedite request to the U.S. Consulate General in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and unfortunately, they cannot prioritize this immigrant visa petition for expeditious processing.

In the interest of fairness to all applicants, the Department of State schedules immigrant visa interviews in the order that cases complete the documentation process with the NVC.

Yes, I am part of a Whatsapp group with many people who are at this stage and people help each other and share information, including rescheduling and expediting interviews so I shared here with you what I had access to.
I will also take my background tomorrow and make copies of what I believe is important to take.
I believe our scheduling date shouldn't take long to be sent to us because we are the first of march 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Do you think it's possible to add me to this "zap" group?

    Thanks for this.

Do you know about this link that has how many visas were issued each month? I think should be a good "thermometer" as to when things will begin to pick up in pace:

I think August it should be very low numbers too and all we can do is hope that it picks up September on...

I was trying to quote this with the comments... Sorry I'm getting used to how this commenting, replaying works...

  11. That's what happened to me.
I came to US with a B2 visa and told CBP that I was going to get married and go back because I was working.
He was not happy and start saying that was illigal and I should have come with a K1 visa, but he didn't believe and had to check.
They took me to a room where I waited for a while, saw two families in there (one was released and the other one looked like they'd be deported). I got really anxious/nervous/etc, but I stayed calm and when it was my turn the guy in there just asked couple questions and said I could go. I visited one more time before we filed the I-130 and this is the first time I'm visiting while the I-130 is processing.
