Hey Guys
Arrived 12th February 2021.
I made it to Atlanta GA safely to be with my hubby. Super smooth airport process and interview.... Just to confirm address for green card, reachable telephone number, husband's name, to explain that the stamp affixed in passport is valid for 1 year and can be used as ID for driving licence, job etc and briefly about residence expectations. Then Welcome to the USA! Now to enjoying a new Adventure.
Good luck to all waiting for interviews. It's all worth it!
Hey guys,
A Note.... Remember to check your USCIS status updates everyday after you arrive in the USA. My permanent resident card was sent to me 2 wks after arrival on 12th Feb & returned to USCIS because of, I guess a postal glitch. I only found out when I logged into USCIS today, got the status update & USPS tracker. Had I been checking i could have rescheduled a next day delivery or pick it up myself. I just didn't expect it so soon.
I now had to put in a request to USCIS to have it resent to me.
So keep checking. They are processing really quickly.

Thankyou!!!
You are welcome.
That's presuming you did tick the "Send my SS details" box on your visa application that would automatically dispatch it to your given address as soon as your entry to the USA is registered. If you did not tick the box, then you would definitely need to make an in person application at your local SS office ASAP after arrival.

Im fliying in few days. Can somebody remind me whats the normal amount of time to wait for the SS card after POE and when I should contact them if I dont receive it?
Thanks!
Hi, on arrival a week ago, I was advised at POE to expect my SS details within 3 weeks. If I do not receive it, to visit the nearest SS office to check/apply. So fingers cross, it'll be here soon. Good luck

Hey guys,
This is a Joyous Day.... APPROVED!
July 12th - Submitted documents to NVC.
July 27th - Document Qualified.
November 13th - Email of December 14 appointment.
Checked in at Embassy 30 minutes before my 11:30 appointment time this morning and spent 40 minutes in total there. Most of the time spent waiting. Interview itself was 10 minutes.
3 questions:
Where did you meet your husband?Where does he live?
When are you hoping to go to the USA?
They were all super friendly and helped me feel relaxed.
After he said, "I will approve you today""
I heard nothing else he said lol!
I was just relieved the process was over!
This has been quite a journey but it's all worth it.
Good luck to everyone with your interviews and for those waiting on interview dates, hang in there.

For anyone who has had their interview - how long is the interview for and is it quite intense?
Hi,
Every case is different but my interview was in December. Interview was about 10mins with 3 questions & approval: Where we met, spouse' address and when do I wish to leave London?
The entire process from arrival at embassy to completion was 40 mins.
My passport was ready for collection from courier 3 days later.
Goodluck x

Hey crew,
I was fortunate enough to lock in an interview like many of you and we're really excited!DQ Sep 23 > Email Dec 15 > Interview Jan 25
But now we're a little worried about the new announcement around there being a tier 4 lockdown within London... https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/dec/19/pm-announces-tier-4-covid-curbs-and-curtails-christmas-mixing-in-england
I know some of you mentioned in the previous national lockdown the embassy still was progressing with interviews...
I'm wondering does this group think that'll still be the case with this new tier 4 lockdown?
Hey dear,
Congrats with your upcoming interview. I had asked on my December 14th interview and they were continuing as normal but in light of this evening's announcements, we'll have to check for new updates. Who knows what will happen.
Fingers cross for everyone getting ready for their interviews.

The embassy did release a short statement right after the last tier change saying that they’d continue to process “mission critical” visas, so I think the best we can hope for is that they release a similar statement soon.
I interviewed yesterday and I did ask while I was having biometrics about what will happen in the event of London tier3 looming. I was told that it's unlikely that anything would change from their operation now because they were operating at lowest capacity already. I observed only 2 in office, 1 for docs & biometrics and 1 window for interview. So very very quiet there. I guess they too may be waiting on further guidance.

Can the next person who has their interview please ask the staff when the next batch is? I'm sure it's sometime soon but I'm getting alil anxious lol.
At this stage it can become very anxious and unbearable. There is just no guessing how this system works. There is a very good chance Interview dates may filter tomorrow.
It was Friday Nov 13th when we received our emails for December interviews.
Good luck guys x

Finished work in an hour, heading to London tonight, interview tomorrow morning at 10. Prepared? Yeah. Relieved? You bet. Absolutely bricking it? Dear lord yes.
It makes me happy to have seen so many positive experiences and there is absolutely no reason to think mine will be any different, but... Y'know. Still. 😂
Thank you all so much for your support, information and kind words this last few months especially. I'll update as soon as I'm done. ❤️
You are almost there. This is certainly a nerve wrecking process but you can do this! Almost there now. Good Luck for tomorrow 😘

I must have drafted a UK 'Dreaded 221g' thread a dozen or so times, since being rejected at my Interview on November 23rd, as I've become more and more anxious by the situation.
But, I can now, finally, update my 221g situation! Yay!
23/Nov/2020 INTERVIEW: US Consulate London
23/Nov/2020 CEAC: Rejected
23/Nov/2020 UPLOADED documents as requested by the interviewer
24/Nov/2020 E-mail response to my e-mail notifying the embassy of the documents being uploaded
24/Nov/2020 CEAC: Case last updated, still marked as rejected (I was expecting this to have updated to Administrative Processing)
...
...
30/Nov/2020 CEAC: Case last updated, still marked as rejected (this was the update that aggravated my concerns!)
...
03/Dec/2020 CEAC: ISSUED
ISSUED! ISSUED! ISSUED! Someone plz. pass me some TISSUES so I can wipe away my tears of joy! 16-months of separation, and my flight is now in sight!
...Time to wakeup my wife!
Awwww I want to cry along with you. What a relief. I'm overjoyed for you.
Congratulations x

Hello everyone,
I found that this thread is very helpful I had a couple of questions if anybody could answer I would be very thankful.
1- How long after you were documentary qualified did you recieve an interview in the US- London Embassy?
2- How did you get notified about your interview in the US Embassy in London? (I am assuming by email?)
3- How much time in advance were you given / notified about your interview date? (2 weeks, 3 weeks?)
Thank you so much for taking the time
reading and responding.
Best of luck to all ☺️Hi,
Welcome
DQ July 27th
Received interview date by email on Nov 13th. ( approx 3 & 1/2 months)
Interview Dec 14th (1 month to prepare)
So 4 & 1/2 months from DQ to Interview.
I hope this was helpful.
Good luck.

If you don't mind me asking: when is your interview? I am trying to work out when to expect the same interview email. We are IR1 DQ September 9th. If my understanding is correct I think we should get the email in January and have the interview in February. From your guys today's posts I can see:
DQ July 10 - interview Dec 1
DQ July 23 - interview Dec 7
DQ July 27 - interview Dec ?
...
Our DQ is September 9 - possible interview February 1? Hope I am right.
I am very happy for all of you who have received their emails today, hoping to see the same email in my mailbox in January 🤗
I thought I'd put it up. My apology.
Dec 14th. Good luck!

Hey guys,
With the long awaited expected interview dates this month that is still not here, it's easy to want to give up hope. We've come too far, so we have to continue to be hopeful and hold on to a glimmer of trust that it'll be over sooner than later. There's still one more day left of this week where we could get lucky! Come on LND Embassy.... Get a move on!!! Good luck y'all 🤞🏾🙏🏾

When SEWI confirmed their file had transferred I was worried I had missed the boat. Sounds like no one else has had those fabled emailed drop yet though - so hopefully we all hear later tonight or tomorrow. If they tease us over the weekend and drag it out until Monday I won’t be thrilled 😆
They'll probably make us wait 😀 I'm already unimpressed

Hey fellow patient folks (lol)
I think we all need medals for patience!
Am I the only IR1 NoN expedite here?
I too am trying to gage prior trends for interview release dates.
I even rebooted my phone with my 🤞🏾& hoped emails would filter a visa interview date 😆!
Let's see what will materialise on Friday.
Good luck everyone x

Hi,
I took mine against my white door and used an app to size & print at home to submit visa application. Since they approved it, I took the same to interview. It was scanned & given back to me with no problem.
