I updated  my phone and all codes are rejected....

I had the trouble before. I used the DUO app for codes, but it kept rejecting me. So I changed to having codes sent via texts, and all worked. 

not risky at all. we did by ourselves and things went very well.

if you case is straightforward, it'll actually save time/money to file by yourself.

received my card today.

My status changed today from "case received" directly to "card was picked up". No any updates in between.

It feels like riding a roller coaster 😂

Yes, I checked both, and both show "case received".

Just received my 751 approval letter today.

Strangely, my online status still says "case received". No any updates. I guess we should not rely on website status.

Anyway, long journey is over. Thanks VJers for all the support!

Another choice is to make people sign in otherwise they can't edit, unfortunately didn't find this function either.

I guess we'll just rely on you to restore it each time it gets messed up 😂

24 Dec 2018 - Received NOA/extension letter with receipt number starting with LIN and case status as “Fees Waived” even though my check for $680 was cashed and I did not apply for a waiver.
10 Jan 2019 - Case status was updated to “Case was received”.
13 Feb 2019 - Received Biometrics appt letter

08 Mar 2019 - Completed Biometrics

07 Oct 2019 - Case status was updated to "New Card Ordered"

10 Oct 2019 - Case status was updated to "New Card Mailed"

11 Oct 2019 - Case status updated to "Post Office delivered your new card"

Is there any evidence showing that walk-in biometrics appt will speed up the processing time?

I'm just curious. I did biometric on the date as indicated on NOA, and I'm the only one whose status still remains as case received. The 50 receipt numbers of i-751 before and after mine have all changed to fingerprints completed 😆

The staff just collected my fingerprints and asked me to leave. Maybe they did security check after I left? Not sure. 

I did my biometric today, They took fingerprints for only 4 fingers of right hand, no thumb.

They refused to take fingerprints the first time I got there because I didn't bring my green card (it was not required in the instruction of the biometrics notice). So I had to go home, get the green card & extension letter, and go back to the immigration office. One lesson I learned is always keeping green card and extension letter with me whenever dealing with immigration stuff.

I believe USCIS will scan all documents they receive. They may not process the waiver request, but they'll have the documents in file. For cases like this that went wrong with N400, it would be at the fault of USCIS, not the applicant. But yeah, I won't expect them to own their errors...

Passport + appointment notice should be enough. Green card is only required for Naturalization biometrics, but I guess it won't hurt to also bring it with you.

I also got the biometrics appointment letter today, appointment on 8/23.

Same here! LIN filer and just received the biometric letter today, with appointment on 8/23.

I know someone here in Ohio who submitted the divorce application documents to switch the joint filing of 751 to waiver filing, and got approved without the divorce being finalized. Even now she hasn't received the final divorce decree yet and she's still in the divorce process. However, she had abortion history and medical documents to prove her marriage, which may be why she could get approved before divorce is final. 

Basically, if there's a possible divorce, it'll probably serve your interests better to file divorce sooner and switch the filing category.
