I'm trying to add my paper-filed case to "my.uscis.account" so i can track my i-485 application and i keep getting this message
"There was an error syncing your case. Try again in a few minutes."
Has anyone else received this error? I've been getting this message for most of the morning..

My husband applied for his SSN on 12/24, and his I-94 expires on 1/31/2019
i went to the SSN office today (1/17/2019) bc the case status said it had been returned to the agency. Not a surprise..! They told me his SSN has not been approved yet and won’t be approved bc his I-94 is expired. I corrected them and told them it is not expired yet. And they said his SSN has not been approved bc his form will be expired by then and he needs to “reapply” for a i-94, green card, or work permit.
I assume this means we just need to now wait for his employment authorization permit to be approved now before he gets a SSN😩😩🤔😐
I'm going through the exact same problems with SSN office!!
I've been waiting almost 11 weeks now, each time i go back into the office they keep telling me its not been approved..
I even managed to speak to a representative from USCIS Save Program who told me that SSN had sent 3 manual verification and each time USCIS had replied to approve my information; i printed out my SAVE sheet which showed it'd be returned to agency and SSN office just keep saying that they are awaiting verification from USCIS and can't approve 😡😡😡So frustrating!! As my i-94 is close to expiring I now need to wait until i get my EAD or GC.
Someone previously mentioned about getting a 'denial' notice from SSN office; can i ask what the importance of this is? (I don't want any further delays when i'm applying for a SSN with either my EAD OR GC)

Biometrics appointment completed today; the place was completely empty.
I was the only one there; in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Sounds like they are just passing off your file to a new agent because the previous one went in holidays and they are starting fresh each time by putting your info into the system to see if perhaps your info changed with DHS (like your info DHS has is supposed to be wrong....but it isnt).
Have you talked to a Supervisor at your local SSA office instead of just an agent?
Your case is indeed sitting in their office because your SCC status wouldnt lie.
I'm at 9 weeks too.
I'm unsure if i've spoke to a supervisor or not because any time i've asked to speak to a senior manager or supervision the agent has gone into the back office and returned to say they the information and advice is no different from what they are telling me..?
I spoke to an individual who i was informed is "responsible" for my case not sure if he is a supervisor (he kept repeating that he is waiting for a response from DHS to allow him to process the verification EVEN though SCC tells me the case has been returned to SSA). He said the previous 2 cases had "failed" although the SCC analyst told me that cases don't simply "fail" they just require additional documentation to complete the verification.
My i-94 expires on 21st January 2019 so the SSA agent told me that unless DHS replies to SSA and allows them to approve it before 7th January 2019 then i would have to wait until my application for employment authorisation (i-765) is completed.
I hope you have better luck in receiving your SSN before i-94 expires!!

I applied for SSN on 25th October 2018 after entering the US on 24th October 2018 with K-1 visa; local SSA office told me i required 'manual verification' before they could issue my SSN which may take up to 4 weeks.
No SSN after 4 weeks so i've been going into the SSA office every week, each time they tell me it continues to show a "mismatch" although their advice is conflicting depending on each officer and they just advise to "wait another week and call in again". It's now been 10 weeks and still no SSN and my case status continues to show a "mismatch".
I've had 3 separate cases inputted onto SAVE casecheck (25th October 2018, 21st November & 31st December 2018) and each one has shown "Case Returned to Agency"
I'm so frustrated with the process, i rang USCIS who directed me to SAVE CaseCheck via this contact number; (877) 469-2563. I spoke to a SAVE analyst who advised me that the contact number is for agency personal only but would look into my case. He advised me that the original SAVE case (25th October 2018) appeared successful and couldn't understand why SSA keep submitting "new cases".
I returned to the SSA this morning and explained all the above. They advised me that my case status remains to show a "mismatch" but refused to call SAVE CaseCheck to try work out what is causing the mismatch. I've found the SSA to be incredibly unhelpful and i'm now beyond frustrated with the whole experience.
Unfortunately i don't have any advice to people struggling with the same problem as all my research and efforts didn't appear to make a slight bit of difference. In hindsight i would maybe have waited a week or so before I applied and try to avoid "manual verification" as it appears a nightmare!!

January 2019 - AOS Filers (merged)
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
I filed in December with a NOA1 of December 20th 2018; my EAD/AP still remains "Case was received" and my i-485 says "Fingerprint Fee was received" on both the old & new USCIS website even though i completed my Bio appt on January 4th 2019.
After looking at some of the other groups, some people who filed in September & October 2018 never had their cases updated until it said "Card Produced". It is not uncommon to have no updates until the process is completed which is currently taking 5 months from the date of filing.
