    True, I would said educate people worldwide because this problem is not in the USA only. Immigration laws are almost the same everywhere in Europe and USA. More people should be educated and be aware of the stress immigrants are under going.

    Some of the comments are down right ignorant. I just wanted to post it here as it's on the same lines of discussion we were talking about.

    Good point. However, until you get into the immigrant situation you can't understand. I am pretty much sure most of us used to be clueless about the stress immigrant go through.

    I'm sure they do slow things down although I would hope that the ones getting expedited are people who really do need it. 
     
    I work for the Mass State government and we process "priority" applications as they come in, before we would start on any normal application. So regular filers are waiting 1.5 years to get a response while priority filers might just wait a month from us. Seems like where I work could be a similar process to USCIS!
