  1. Looks like it dropped to 7 months for me. I am torn between checking frequently and then risking being disappointed if it doesn’t continue to drop, or putting it to the back of my mind, not checking at all & hopefully getting a pleasant surprise. 😬😅🤩🤷🏽‍♀️
  2. My biometrics have been reused and it seems the current processing time is displayed at 9 months. My field office is Spokane. Good luck to everyone waiting. 😀
  3. Filing N400 today under the 3 year marriage eligibility. I filed ROC I751 in November 2022 and besides biometrics being reused I haven’t heard any updates. Here’s hoping that this nudges me in the system. Wishing everyone a smooth processing experience. 😊🤞🏽 I am using https://civicsquestions.com/all/?q=100 << this website to study for civics. I was surprised at just how little I know and the only ones I got right were geographical ones or ‘obvious’ ones (current president etc) so lots for me to learn! 😬
  4. My N-400 is being filed today. 🎉 I’m so relieved to be at the final hurdle and there’s nothing to do now but wait and also revise for the civics test. 😊 I’ll update on here if there’s any movement for my ROC. Best of luck everyone. 🤞🏽😓
  5. I became eligible last weekend and I plan to file to naturalize in October when I get back from a month long trip to my homeland. I have a friend who filed N400 in mid June this year and she just got notification for an interview for her ROC in 2 weeks time which really surprised her. (She applied for ROC in late July 2022) So that makes me hopeful things sometimes go quicker than the published processing times. 😊🤞🏽
  6. I forgot to write here at the time but I received the 48 month extension letter late last month. LIN Nebraska. My plan is to file for citizenship in early October this year even though I’m eligible to apply in late August. I want to FINALLY take a trip home to see my family and figured it would be easier to do that and then file when I'm back here again. Hope everyone is doing well! ☺️
  7. That’s wonderful to hear that it worked out for you to do that and that the laws changed. I wouldn’t naturalize if I had to give up my British citizenship. Maybe the same will happen one day for Germany too? 🤞🏽
  8. Ah yes, those are definitely good pro reasons for it. I have a friend from Germany living in the US who is in a similiar boat. She has decided against citizenship altogether because of the hoops and cost of doing that but also because she hopes to live in Germany one day again permanently. I’m grateful that Britain offers dual citizenship without a complicated process but it’s also simple enough to live here just extending a 10 year GC. My auntie has done that for 3 decades. It’s just getting slower and more expensive sadly.
  9. My finger prints were used 39 days ago and I don’t imagine I’ll have anything to update in here for a while. Something that has been on my mind lately is that in only 8 months today, I am eligible to apply for naturalisation/citizenship. I was previously thinking I’d just live here as a permanent resident but with how long the green card processes are taking now (I am connected with other expats in this area who’s simple 10 year renewals are also taking FOREVER, when pre-covid it was a speedy 3-4 month process even for AOS) and the fact my country offers dual citizenship, I’m starting to weigh up the pros and cons of becoming a citizen. It would be amazing to never need to deal with USCIS again. 😍
  10. It is impossible to know what the date is for sure but I wonder if August 2023 is when she was saying you are eligible to apply for citizenship?! ☺️ that’s personally when I am eligible (my 2 year greencard expires on Thursday this week) Good luck with the process of biometrics! 🤞🏽
  11. Thank you!! ☺️ I found it there & switched it off. Nebraska also says average 18.5 months so I’m also in this for the long haul. 🥲
  12. It really was a bummer to see lol. I can’t see how to turn it off! 🙈
  13. Receiving this email today from this website wasn’t pleasant to think about even if it is just an estimate VJ has. 😕 I keep telling myself that at least I’m eligible to apply for citizenship in late August of 2023 which really isn’t that far away but it sure has felt good not to really think about USCIS for the last 2 years compared to now. 😅
  14. I agree. I literally said to my husband this morning, “would be nice to be refunded my bio fee!” which I know will never happen since they lost my medical file and I had to pay to redo it despite it not being my fault lol. Thankfully the place where I went for last biometrics, & the interview is only 2.5 miles from our house! 🥳
  15. My case was updated yesterday (got the app notification this morning) to say ‘case was updated to show finger prints were taken’. So I'm wondering if that means biometrics from AOS will be reused. I'll update again if I see anything else show up😃
  16. USCIS received my case on Nov 4th. The extension letter/notice was received today! I’ve seen an electronic copy of what it looks like just waiting for it to be forwarded to my address as I’m using my lawyers mailbox for my PO Box. ☺️ I’ve heard a lot of peoples biometrics are being reused but if I get called to go do mine, I’ll update here. Good luck everyone 🍀
  17. Oh man they sure keep us on our toes don’t they with the fussy changes!! 😅😂 fingers crossed our money orders are ok. 🤞🏽
  18. I went to the post office and got a money order, so the money was taken straight away from my account and I guess the post office will get it taken from them whenever USCIS tries to take it lol. I did also hear that there had been some issues with some banks and paying by credit card so I wanted to avoid that as my card expires in 2 weeks today. I’ll update here when I get my NOA1. I hope your payment is taken soon and that you also get yours soon. ☺️ This time around I’m having everything mailed to my lawyers PO Box as we may be moving and I don’t want to deal with all that hassle & the risk of things getting lost/anxiously checking the mail. We don’t get informed delivery in this neighborhood which would have been helpful last time around as I was watching the mailbox like a hawk waiting for my last GC! 😅
  19. I sent the packet out on 11/02/22 and USCIS received it 11/04. I was given a receipt number which I’ve entered into the app to track my case and the notification there says they have mailed me a receipt notice. (Is this the NOA1?) my receipt number begins LIN does that have any reference/meaning? ☺️
  20. I’m kind of in the opposite boat to you guys and have hardly any evidence, the packet that was submitted was really small. We just sent what we have and are keeping everything tightly crossed. We did quarterly statements and then the last 3 recent ones. If we get a RFE we will cross that bridge when we get to it. As others have said it could be a while… 😅 I actually hired an attorney to do the process for us mainly because mine and my husbands financial situation isn’t traditional & we really struggled to find joint things to send in. We literally don’t have 80% of the suggested items. We are both independent contractors and he has a separate business so we keep everything separate and a lot of things are in business names rather than our names, let alone our joint names. It’s been stressful but it was a relief to have finally got it sent. If I didn’t hire an attorney, I genuinely don’t think I’d have got it done before it expired because of anxiety & other life and work commitments swamping me. We have made it this far though, so fingers crossed things work out! ☺️🤞🏽
  21. I remember your name from AOS filing!! ☺️ I felt a similiar way (not being in the mood) which is why I procrastinated instead of filing in August when I was eligible. I don’t recommend doing that 😂 the ‘not in the mood’ feeling just set in harder over time. Good luck on your journey! ☺️
  22. Thank you for creating this thread. ☺️ My TLDR timeline: I came to Spokane, WA, USA from England on a K1 visa in Dec 2019 Filed AOS on Jan 3 2020 Invited to interview in April 2020 but COVID derailed that. Interviewed in Spokane in early Sept 2020 RFE received after interview because USCIS lost my medical exam results that I gave at POE in Seattle & so I had to go redo the exam Approved around Thanksgiving 2020 I filed ROC petition on 11/02/2022. My GC expires on 11/24/2022. I’ll update here when there is news and I receive the extension letter or any news about using biometrics. Wishing everyone a smooth processing experience! 🌻
