Hey everyone,
We just paid our NVC fees and are about to start working on the DS-260 file.
Up until now we’ve used my married name (for the I-130) and I’d like to keep doing so, so that my issued visa will have my married name.
My Belgian passport however has my maiden name on it. It’s still valid until late 2022 so I don’t plan on renewing it just so I can change the name. And I’m not even sure I wanna use my married name on my Belgian passport in the future.
Will this cause any issues for me?
Any advice is welcome.
Thank you!

Gefeliciteerd! Did you also have the IOE, electronic filing?

That’s great news! May I ask where you find news about the latest approvals?

Hello everyone,
Could someone tell me if European degrees are recognized in the States?
I obtained my Masters degree in Criminology here in Belgium and I’m wondering if this will be valid when applying for jobs (in the Los Angeles area).
I’ve been searching for answers online but I haven’t been successful so far.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
We just received our NOA 1 and our case got appointed to the Texas Service Center. I was wondering which Service Centers currently work the slowest? Thanks!
I-864: required financial evidence when self employed
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Hey all,
My husband works as a freelance videographer for a living. He meets the income requirements and can act as my sponsor for our CR1 application.
We're currently at the NVC stage and have to fill out the I-864 and provide financial evidence.
We were planning to submit his IRS tax transcript from last year as evidence, will this be sufficient?
Thank you!
