questions regarding I-134. do I need to send this form physically via USPS or Fedex to my fiancé or Can I send this over via email and can she print?

what evidence do I need to send along with I-134?

    fiancé interview on Feb 21st

thank you for your help @ujones @ns7 @Greenbaum

I took mine physically.  I would Fedex with tracking.  I had mine prepared by someone for $75, so I didn't think about it.

I've read your responses earlier, and I'm in a similar approach or state..

My NVC case was assigned on Dec 21st, and on Jan 10th, 2019 ceas.state.gov case status shows, "Ready" and shows 1/10/19

    could you answer below please?

    1. I havent contacted mumbai embassy.. but how did you guys reach out? could you please provide info?

     2. For medical tests, does my fiance needs any letter officially sent from Mumbai embassy to her? before she can contact medical center for tests? or can she go ahead with the medical without any paperwork coming from Mumbai?

     3. Can my fiance start with police certificate and NS-160, fees to go ahead schedule interview? after Feb 21st of today?

    thank you

    Srinath

    1. Email them.  I am trying to get a good phone number for them to sort my issues mentioned above.

    2. You can give her Interview Appointment letter once you schedule Interview on USTravelDocs. I don't necessarily need Packet 4 from them,, it is just I don't know why they keep saying they don't have physical file yet only electronic.

    3. Police Certificate: Yes, get asap

The advice on this forum that I got is: You can fill Ds-160 and schedule appointment once the case is "ready"

@ns7, I was able to get a quick response via email. Did you get a chance to see the available dates ? Are they into February ?

Yes, email is pretty quick but they keep referencing the same info.  It has been 2 weeks since case was delivered to embassy.

Feb 21 right now.  It tends to move up/down depending on slots filling up or people canceling earlier appointments.

  4. Did anyone else have this issue where Mumbai Consulate is saying they haven't gotten the physical file yet.  I want to schedule interview before the dates get too far, but I am scared if they say they still haven't gotten it by the interview time.  I am trying to get early February date for interview.

    Their Response:

"Thank you for your inquiry. We have only received your case electronically at our Mumbai Post. However, we are still awaiting the physical file. We will get in touch with you, once we are in receipt of the physical file."

Also, does any one now best way to contact them other than email.  I called USA number, but it is just recording and no way to reach a human on there.

    Thanks

  5. I made an interview/OFC appointment on US Travel Docs finally. I made a mistake on OFC appointment location and got generic reply from USTravelDocs email support to reschedule. I can't just one appointment but I would have to reschedule both and lose my interview slot.  Any Advice??

    Few Observations:

I couldn't get OFC a day before the interview day (which kinda caused my issue above as i was trying to get this to work).  It seems you can't select next day after OFC for interview. I am not sure if this is new change or due to my interview being 7:15 am.

The website selects first OFC location for you rather than making you select one, so you should check what is selected before continuing to the next page.  There is no"confirm info/dates/location before booking" page.

When you schedule your interview appointment then print off the appointment confirmation page and that now becomes your "original appointment letter". Read the links I posted a few posts above. And also, start from the beginning of this thread and take your time reading. You will have a better insight on what to do and when since others have shared their experience.

    Thank you, Sir 🙏

Before I posted for help here, I had sent email to US Travel Docs for the mentioned letter/Packet 4 etc.  We are clear on the original appoitment letter issue (thx 😇); Now this is about the physical file not received yet at Mumbai. I tracked the packet using DHL and belive it was delivered on Dec 31.

My request to them (US Travel Docs) was:

"Can you please send me Packet 4 packet/"appointment letter" via email? I am requesting this to be able to complete medical exam. "

    Their Reply today:

Thank you for your inquiry. We have only received your case electronically at our Mumbai Post. However, we are still awaiting the physical file. We will get in touch with you, once we are in receipt of the physical file.

Should I be concerned about scheduling interview as they are saying they are waiting for the Physical FIle??   Should I not schedule interview yet or schedule far in future like Feb 15 instead of anything that may come up in few weeks?

So far: Once the case became "Ready", I filled and submitted DS160, made profile and my fiance has paid K1-visa fee.  I am trying to score a spot 2-3 weeks from now; The next available date for interview is Feb 15 @ Mumbai.

    Hi All!

I need to submit the DS 160 and at the end of the submission and I need to sign and certify that I have received the IMBRA PAMPHLET.

"It basically has a letter + instructions + your original i129f package + imbra pamphlet, domestic violence pamphlet  etc. This packet comes via postal mail n takes about 10 days after your case is ready as per NVC website." (NCV case status ready on 12/13/2018), so do I have to wait for the packet 4 and only then certify and submit the  DS1 60 OR can I just certify now ?

    Thank you all

What is the original Appointment letter that is needed for medical (as mentioned in the forums)?   I just emailed USTravelDocs and hoping to get something back.  I am concerned because I have seen some people in the forum having issues without the "original appointment letter".

  8. I am requesting advice. I went to the lady who prepared my petition (k1) to have my i-134 sponsorship papers prepared.

She has started doing the work for the Indian side as well since last month. They call this full service (with i-134) and includes filling DS-160 and scheduling interviews (fingerprinting one and interview) for $400.

My Question is do people generally do this themselves or get professional help??  I am leaning towards doing it (DS160 and scheduling Interviews) myself, but my family is leaning towards letting them do it so we have no headache.

What would you advice?  Should I let them(same people who did my petition/i-134) handle this?

If anybody had recent experience with K1 and Mumbai (india) please share the steps to the interview.

The instructions are accurate but for the city/country. The instructions say the selection is for the "city" but the country should be selected. Now if you have experienced something else, I would welcome your input but many others have found this to work for them.

I just figured out how this works with DHL. Pretty Cool!  🙏

    2. Checking on your embassy case number from NVC:

It will take 7 - 10 business days for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in their system and produce your case number. Call 7:00 am eastern time for shorter wait times.

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

1 for English, then 7 (or 5, but I would go 7 as they would tell you if you should call 5 instead after they receive your case.)

I gave it 10 business days and I just called NVC to see if they received it. They said they received it on Dec 10 😅

Little more info for others: I called 603-334-0700 and pressed 1 and then 7.  There was no wait :); I called from California local time 8:50 pm PST.

I posted about this earlier. I got 7 codes in rapid succession that I hadn't asked for)))

I belive you are talking about the second factor codes.  I had requested one to login the night before and got one next morning.  So Maybe they were stuck somehow and came later.

Did you try to login some time before like me?  If not, it could be something else on their side.

OK, now I've got the 'don't call us' alert through 'USCIS App', the 'Case Tracker' remains silent

My "case tracker" didn't say anything about this change either.

Case tracker might be keeping an eye on "Case was received" status part only and that will change anyway once we have a meaningful change (approval).
