  1. It is unbelieveable you waited all this time for the RFE ! I am sorry for this, indeed. I wish you a quick approval once you shove the ' evidence ' under their noses. You must have had the same smarmy slimeball who pilfered through our petition last year at the all - caring and compassionate CSC !

Hopefully, they will get you approved pronto !

Sorry to hear about the RFE! Hang in there, this time they will get it right!

  2. Hello!

I put our names on the back of the passport photos and also on the backs of our photos together with dates and where they were taken. The letters on intent were originals. I did not translate his birth certificate because I think I read somewhere (at the juarez consulate website I think) that they only have to be translated if they are not in English or Spanish so that should be ok there.

I see your point about the receipts and stuff, luckily my receipts I sent do have my name on them because they were Western Union Money Transfer Receipts and of course my phone records have my name on them so I'm pretty sure it will be fine - :)

  3. We're past the 2 month mark. And after obsessive searching, it seems like CSC is averaging between 75 and 85 days. I can't waittttttttttttt!!!!!!!

I'm sure I don't know how all of you guys did it.

The funny thing is is that I'm going to Mexico over spring break, and I KNOW the second I get on the plane my NOA2 will show up :S

That would be nice. Maybe when you get back not only will you have your NOA2 but the NVC will have received your papers!! Wouldn't that be nice to come back to  Hope you have a great visit

OK I JUST SENT MY I-129F! YIPPEEE!!

NOW WHAT DO I DO? LOL

I KNOW I WILL GET NOA1 SOON, GUESS I DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING FOR THAT RIGHT?

WHEN I GET NOA2, DOES THAT MEAN HE CAN GO RIGHT FOR THE INTERVIEW? SHOULD I START PREPARING HIS VISA APPLICATION AND ALL THAT STUFF BETWEEN THE NOA1 AND NOA2?

GOSH, I'M TIRED, I SPEND 6 HOURS TODAY WORKING ON THAT I-129F PACKET!

  4. I finally got the packet together today and mailed it out Express mail to Vermont Service Center!

    My packet contained:

    Letter of Contents of packet

I-129F Petition for Foreign Fiance, signed and dated

2 passport photos with our names written on the back

2 Letters of Consent to Marry (Me and Edgar)

2 G25a Forms (4 pages dated and signed for me and 4 pages dated and signed for Edgar)

    Copy of my Birth Certificate

Copy of Edgar's Birth Certificate (just in case)

Copy of my Final Judgement of Divorce from my x-husband

    5 8X10 photos of Edgar and I

    Check for $170

Emails we wrote to each other

    Copies of Receipts

    Copies of Travel Itineraries

    Copies of Phone Records

I think that pretty much covers it! I did this for 6 HOURS TODAY!!! I better not get an RFE! I won't.

    Wish me luck!

    We are so siked!

  5. I have been married 3 times before, my financee (if all this goes thru) will be my 4th marriage. He is 22 years Younger than Me !!!! But I truly love him soooooooo much !!!!'

Does any one see why this would be a barrier to us getting married ?

Thanks for all you do here !!

you both will be grilled pretty good. the USC <can get inverviewed by USICS> and the immigrant could face < 2 > intense interviews. plus you have the age factor going on. anything over 20 years < generation > is looked at deeper. better provide alot of proofs of a valid relationship.

I am 24 years older than Edgar and we have been together about a year. I know others have obtained their visas with a vast age difference so take the advice here and have detailed discussions with each other all the time until the interview until you are both comfortable with your answers. Edgar and I are getting ready to send in our I-129F so I am very excited and nervous at the same time. Good Luck! You will do fine!

  6. Thanks for the advice! We went to the Social Security office and were in and out in about 45 minutes. Everything went smoothly and he should have his Social Security card in less than 2 weeks. Yay!! Well, back to packing, I have so much left to do. Moving is not fun, but moving with my honey is!

That's great! Have fun moving to your new home, how wonderful!!

  7. Thank you GOD!

 Good luck everyone and may your timeline be as compressed as possble!!!!

    GOD help us all!!!!!

I'm very happy for you and Cory. It gives me hope to know that I will soon be in your shoes!!

Have a Happy and Blessed live together.

    Mari

Congratulations! Best Wished for your happy life together!!

  8. Check allowed to work. There is some documentation on Guides tab that you can print off and bring to SS office if any problems. Leo didn't have any issues when he went to get his.

Yes or just call them and ask, I would think they will be able to answer your questions over the phone. Good Luck and congratulations you must be SO THRILLED! I'm very happy for you both!!!

  9. It seems to really depend upon your state law. They have other methods for checking blood alcohol levels, so refusing to take a breathalyzer doesn't seem to be the automatic conviction others have stated. Check out the laws of the state you were in when it happened.

In California, they will take you to the hospital to draw blood if you refuse the breathalyzer.

Well it was back in 1993 I had this happen, I lost my license and was convicted of "Refusal", they didn't bring me for a blood test or anything - but since my conviction was for a refusal and it is an alcohol-related incident I will just count it as a conviction.

(Who was it that said, gosh only three bodies and they call me a mass murderer? -- I thought that was pretty funny!!!!! LOL)

    Thanks everybody!

  10. Janet,

I guess I am the appropriate person to answer your question. I am 20 years older than my husband (also went through K1). He is from Mexico and we also went through Juarez. We knew each other for about a year and half when he went to the interview. He didn't have any problems. They did however question him a little longer regarding when and how we met. He did say that they asked him if I was there. They never asked to speak to me, but I was there just in case. We are now going through the AOS process and have our interview this month.

As long as your relationship is legitimate, you shouldn't have any problems. As others have mentioned, there are more older males that get approved than females. I too was extremely nervous about our situation. Don't worry gather all your evidence and move forward. :)

Wow, I can't tell you how much your response has made me feel better! You are a very cute couple by the way! Thank you so much for responding!!!
