  1. Got our NOA2 April 9. Took 26 days from NOA1 to NOA2. My fiance was worrying after day 16 or so because people with similar timelines already had theirs by then. The date on my timeline was more accurate, where it said something about 'if your case has not been approved within 10 day of xx-xx-xx' or 'we estimate your case should be adjudicated by xx-xx-xx' or something like that, the date said April 11, 2007 and we got it two days before that. It's like VSC knew I was going to call on the 9th ;) So if the best case scenario times have passed, look toward the date given in your timeline instead, don't drive yourself crazy. Look at the graph describing NOA1 to NOA2 at Vermont, it is 40something days last I looked. Think about that before your get too worried....

Even VSC sometimes takes longer than we think it will compared to the other centers. I know it is hard, but try to be patient? Keep your mind and hards busy, cross-stitch is working well for me. I am working on something 18" by 7" and I'm about 3/4 finished. I do this when I am despairingly sad or I am waiting for something that is very important to me, but I think I'll be waiting a long time :clock: (longer that 2 or 3 weeks, so this counts, even though VSC is quickest center). I'll probably stop after he gets here. But I'm sure there will be other things in life where I will find myself waiting.

Gosh, on Monday it will be 26 days for us, I really hope to see it next week!!!! I would think that if they were going to send an RFE they would have sent it already right?

  2. Gosh our file has been touched 3 times now, I hope we are close to our approval, I CANNOT WAIT to hear something!

Edgar and I are preparing for Juarez, getting money together for the medical and hotel etc etc..... fees......

I hope to have Edgar here with me by June - I am so excited I just pray the interview goes well. I'm sure it will, we know each other so well.

  3. Sounds exactly like the email that I got! You will next receive the actual paper version of the NOA2. Be sure to keep this you will want it at your interview. Take a look at my timeline and you will see all the steps and approx. time to receive the next things! Congrats.
So, I got an email from the USCIS.

Does this mean that we got our NOA2 approved?

Wow Congratulations! I'm right behind you (I hope!)!!

Hey what is a waiver? What is it for? 601 waiver? What is that??

  4. Go to the USCIS web site https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp and register. Then add your case by entering the receipt # you got on your NOA1. It will have a date of when it was last updated and every time this date changes, it means it was touched by VSC. :)

I guess since it was received by them March 20 and they sent me the receipt number that was the original contact. Now the date next to our file is March 23, so that is a touch right? Anyone?

Yes that's the last touch on your file! Goodluck :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Cool how exciting!!!!! Thanks! Now can I watch this thing after it leaves USCIC and gets sent to the Nat'l Visa Center, then to the embassy to or is this only for the USCIS office? Sorry I just really don't know!

You are so sweet to start this thread, USCIC recieved our case on March 20th and I got the NOA1, not sure what the heck we have to do after this, how I can track, what to look for, what to prepare and when but I try to spend an hour on it each day because it is serious for us, our phonebills can attest to that as I'm sure it does for most of us here!

I think we are along the same path so please add me to your friend list and we can wait together ok?

    Thanks for starting the thread!

    Kindly,

    Janet & Edgar
