WHY is there a need for I-824….what happened?

Thank you so  much for a reply!!!! Are you sure they are not gonna use the check for reviewing and rejecting the document? I am sooo worried, because it is not a small amount of money. What if I use the new check and send the package, and both USCIS and CBP use the check and charge me ? Getting some acutually to talk in USCIS and CBP is impossible. Thank you once again for your replies

Hi, Yes my mom is us citizen, and she petitioned for my brother as well, his case was approved already. 

Hi Guys, 

So the i-824 form that we filed for approved i-130 form for my brother, was sent to CBP instead of USCIS. It is so messed up because I scared that CBP will get the check, and reject the application instead of returning. I tried to call USPS to reroute or stop the package delivery, they are saying, you cant do anything since the label just created. Do you know what to do in this case? Do you know what will CBP do with my application? Please, I am open to any suggestions. Thank you

Thank you for your reply. In the statement, should my mother say like "" I am ABC, the mother of XXX,would like to indicate that my daughter will do the consular processing once the application is approved." and at the end sign it? And for the i-130, choose the page that specifies whether the beneficiary does the consular processing? Like a sing page?

I hope your cases are going well. Im in a need of desperate advice from you guys. So, my mom has filed i-130 for my married sister, and recently we have received a letter requesting evidence about her birth certificate. And before the letter ends, it also says:

" INDICATE WHETHER BENEFICIARY WILL PROCESS OVERSEAS OR ADJUST STATUS IN THE U.S.

Your petition indicates that the beneficiary will both apply for the visa at an overseas consulate or embassy and adjust status in the United States. If your petition is approved and you have not indicated an option, USCIS will retain the case. If the beneficiary applies for the visa overseas, they may be required to file form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, with fee, to have the petition mailed overseas." 

Basically, a person who filed i-130 for my mom, chose two options like to apply overseas and adjust status in the US. Thus, USCIS is unsure which one of them we want and asking us to indicate. How should I indicate? Should I file i-824 while my i-130 is still pending? I don't see any other ways of indication. Please, help me with it if you have been in such situation or know the solution. I greatly appreciate your efforts!

Hi Guys! My husband has an interview on tuesday morning. Few hours ago, i have received a message from embassy asking about my 2018 irs transcript. When i requested it online, its says i have to wait 5-10 days to get an activation code. I cant wait so many days, i need it urgently. What can i do with it? Please help. Im so nervous

I received two message: one about status change and the other documentarily qualified. Or on ceac just go to the messages, what does the latest one says? Keep clicking that message until it shows it. There it says DQ

Got my DQ Today. Resubmit july 19, and was on supervisor review. And on August 17, i realized that forgot to submit another document-w2 form. And resubmitted on the same day.i thought it would take another 3 weeks if not more, but luckily today everything  was  accepted. I hope Embassy process will be faster, i was here on NVC since May. Wow ur so quick)))) dont worry it does not have an effect on ur case, i thought the same thing as you. If ur inquiry is approved, u will get new case and invoice number with the same details u applied on ur old(current) account.

Unfortunately NVC assigned our case to the wrong consulate in Madrid, Spain. My wife has moved back to Ukraine since I submitted the I-130. In March I sent a request to USCIS to change the consulate, but it looks like it didn't help.

Does anyone have any recent experience changing the consulate?

We had the same issue and changed the location from Moscow to Tashkent. Is ur wife born in Ukraine? U need a proof that ur wife is in Ukraine. Lets say, get her passport main page scanned and file an inquiry on nvc. Explain ur situation and upload her passport, case number and invoice number. It takes about 2 weeks to answer you. They changed my husbands right away without asking questions. And meanwhile, dont forget to make ur payments and upload ur docs to the ceac. Dont worry it wont affect ur case. Dont bother urselfy calling nvc, u can change the interview location only by filing an inquiry. Good luck!

We applied through rapidvisa and they told my husband that 3 years transcripts are must to avoid any problem or effect on case .

 

My husband income for 2016 was 20500$ bcz he lived out of USA and he works for only few month. 

SO DOES IT EFFECT ON OUR CASE ?

AND DO WE WILL NEED JOINT SPONSER ?

When i login to CEAC the document status shows submitted. So my question is when does

Is it when we get case complete email or before that?

It takes upto three weeks to review the docs, if NVC finds some mistake or need more documents it will Let u know. If everything is alright, then u will get case complete. For some people its taking less than 3 week, for some more. Good luck!

Does the initial review take this long too? I submitted on june 25, still waiting((( so frustrating 

Guys, for how long should i wait for supervisior review? It was my initial submission, its over than 3 weeks, still waiting((( 

when i asked customer representative, he said it takes up to 6 weeks for supervisors review((((( 

So i submitted all of the documents on June 25, so today it hits 3 weeks mark. I called nvc to ask what happened that i did not hear anything yet, they said, i should wait till midnight, and if still i dont hear anything, i must call them tomorrow, so they will talk to the supervisor to speed up.

Guys, do u know how long does it take for nvc to respond to the inquiry? It was about change the interview location.

Guys u cant imagine my madness right now. I prepared all of the documents for the nvc stage just in case, so the processings would go faster. But my lawyer is taking her time. I told her ti change the interview location before uploading anything, because my husband lives  and workes in moscow anymore(he worked there at the moment of filing), and back to my country. So the lawyer filed some form of adress change. Two or three weeks passed still not upload due to her personal problems, and on friday she said she will upload the documents on Monday. By this time i already have completed payments and the ds-160 form. Can u imagine im calling her monday informing that the location on ceac has not changed yet, what should we do with, but she did not pick up her phone nor uploaded anything as promised. Voice message is left. Then im calling on tuesday several times finally reached, she said she is working on change of interview location since nvc ignored her request and asked tp wait till tomorrow. So on Wednesday I heard nothing. Today i called 3-4 times, no response, and finally left her message if i could request interview location by myself if she is busy with her clients. She still did not reply. I dont now what to do now. I need my husband to come during the summer, since when the fall starts i will be busy with the school and work and cant hangout with him normally, also the moving from one apartment to the other is also exhausting. What would u advice? Can i call nvc by myself?

Guys im so nervous today. Its been already 3rd day that i cant submit immigrant applocation. When im submitting his all previous adresses he lived( they are like 6-7) and saving or moving to the next page, the page becomes blank and everything starts over. Im nauseated by entering these adresses over and over. Dont u know what to do? I tried different browsers, laptop, ipad, computer and still the same thing!!!
