They got back to me like 12days after I submitted. My status changed to AP just 3 days after I summited it. 

You should have your visa by now.

My case was more complicated. I submitted what they asked for and I got my visa. You should too 

Before misleading people or putting things out there, get your facts right!!! If you get cheated on by a citizen, he/she is called a cheater but if he/she is from another country, they are using you. I’m not exonerating anyone but don’t forget cheating knows no geography. 

It’s not expensive to get it so get a new one though they’ve  might not even ask for it and even if they do, you won’t be denied a visa for that. They may ask you to go get it before your visa is issued.

I came in though JFK and all was cool. No question was asked just routine checks. So no worries.

Yes someone adviced me to do this 11 years ago that I would get approved faster  while in the reality, I was not married to the woman. The CO asked me if I had a traditional wedding with the woman and I told her NO that I was ill advised about it in the first place.

Good day house. I had my interview yesterday (Lagos) all went well except that the consular gave me a paper to provide 2 more documents. 

1, prove that I was never married to the woman that I had a child with before I married my wife (American)

2, the death certificate of the child since the child is now deceased (which I just optained today) the child recently passed which explains why she was initially on it. 

My question is this what documents do I need to get to prove my first question??? 

I’m urgently waiting. Thank you 

The embassies in Nigeria are shut down! Is it only in Nigeria or worldwide???? Then what happens with interview date within that period???

Hi people. I just wanna relay my experience here so we can change the perspection that the embassy usually give 30 days notice till interview date. My interview is scheduled for the 2nd of January 2019 in Lagos while notice was sent just on the 17th of December 2018. I had to rush through the medicals.  Wish me luck friends. 

Congratulations though you need to start preparing your mind for another agonizing wait between NVC and consulate to provide an interview date. The wait won’t be up to the USCIS wait but seem more frustrating. Good luck to us all.

I’m waiting for NVC to contact me regarding my interview date. The fees and forms has been confirmed since last month. I want to know likely questions as my wife is 20yrs older and she had visited just one time due to medical reasons though.
