All communication will come from them and not NVC
did not received anything from them either. the file was updated April 24, so I am guessing that's when they reopened DS 260

They gave everything back to him along with all evidence, support letters, etc... they kept one photo of ours. They gave him the blue letter at the end of his 8 minute interview saying they were unable to give him the visa under code 221g. And for me the petitioner to wait for a lette to responsed to. Been waiting since October 2016.
reason i asked was, my husband had his interview 1/4/2018 at islamabad pakistan and was refused but they kept his passport and they gave him 221g aswell but its a white letter asking for more wedding pictures(they already had bunch of em so dont no why) and ever sine we been just waiting for visa. its been almost a year for a AP.

Reason I'm will be going to info Pass appointment is the officer never gave a reason for denial day of interview. Also the case has been processing for two years. Three since denial interview.
Called USCIS multiple times with no answers or new information for us. Someone had suggest a info Pass appointment. For me to go there and ask questions myself.
did they keep his passport or it was a stright up denied?

I have a question:
For these ten months did they keep your passport with them at the consulate?Did they asked for additional information and documentation?
yes they have his passport since the interview, and i kept emailing them back in May and June so one day they ask me to send my husband's siblings info( dont ask me why cuz i dont no myself), which i send on the same day, few updates on CEAC after that but no response, i just email again this morning, so lets see wht they say.

I know from reading these other posts that administrative processing after the consulate interview is a blind spot and no one knows what's going on except to wait it out , but I was wondering if the length of the processing time might be a clue . What is the longest someone has been in AP and been ultimatedly approved ( or denied) ? We're at nearly 3 months now , and i'm trying to gauge if the passing of more time is a good or bad sign .
My husband's visa has been in AP since Jan 2018, so dont know how long would it be.

I am quite shocked to read your post. 11 months is a lonnnggg time.... Is the case updating periodically? did he receive any calls from the embassy at all? or any emails? letter? What does the CEAC status say?
no call/email unless of course i email them, CEAC sayes AP last update was june 15 when i emailed them, and i am shocked as well as my sister's hubby has been here in states for about 10 months now, and his case was started on same day as mine. its just toooo much.

did you upload required info on ceac too? Also, did you see any changes in last update date?
NO we did not beacuse they asked to be sent via express srvcs, and yes back in Jan (i am guessing when they recieved the docmnts) there were few updates, and then i email them in june and they asked for my husband's siblings info( asked to respond the emil) which i did on same day and then few updates in June, thats all
last update was june 15.

I think you should put your question on the main page of VJ may be there are some other options but I don't think there are any. He should ask for joint sponsor to his friends, relatives etc
reason??
nothing, they just asked for more pics of us and some whatssapp/email printouts. which he send the very next day of interview.

how fast did you respond to the embassy?
if you wait to long, the case may have been returned to the US
most embassies don't like to keep the packet long
i hope you have a record of all you sent so it can be submitted here if necessary in case it was returned to USCIS
the very next day, and i do have the record.

Hello everyone,
I have been reading about AP for over a month now, but i still need little help.
My husband had his interview 01/04/2018, after the interview he was given a 221g form and asked for more pictures of us and also the conversation proof i.e emails or any text msgs. which he sent them via approved express mail. it has been 10 months and no respond and of course they do not answer the phones or eamil has an auto responce.
I just do not know what to do and i am really frusrated.

Wow! Some really harsh judgments in here on this one! Everyone is wired differently. Some people do really well in LDRs. Other's struggle with it. Just because it's easy for some, does not make it easy for others. Being former military, I can assure that this process is very different from a "deployment" (for those that think just because soldiers do this that makes this somehow less painful). There have been times when the waiting and the distance - and the waiting without any real information regarding the process - no "day to count down to", so many things just in "limbo" indefinitely - it's broken me down completely. Texts where tone gets read wrong, little things that would not have even become an issue if handled face to face becoming big things, unintentionally taking the pain and stress of distance out on each other, the pure exhaustion (neither of us sleep well apart, but together we slept soooo well), etc and so on..... My fiance and I are both very "high touch" love language people. We both have baggage from previous relationships (who doesn't really?). Everyone has issues in varying degrees. Neither of us are wired or built for LDR. And there have been times when we really thought it would break us. Ultimately, we both came to see that it doesn't matter what happens - we can't live without each other. We could breathe in and breathe out and go through the motions of life - but we'd feel dead inside. We don't want to even consider a life without each other, so no matter what we face - we face it together knowing that "our day" will come. I understand the OP's lament. I don't hear "weak relationship between two people with issues who wouldn't work out in the long run anyway". I hear a person in pain, a pain that so many of us in this forum have felt and still feel. While there may not be an answer to the OPs question, I can at least say "You're not alone. Yes, the waiting is a special kind of hell. It's made me vomit, lose sleep, cry at random on the bad days, and hurt with a pain I didn't know was possible. Hang in there! Eventually the time WILL pass and you WILL get to be together and one day you'll look back at how long these days felt and they will be only a small percentage of the years shared together building a life. Try to remember, especially during times of conflict with your partner, it's not "You vs Them but "You BOTH together vs the problem". Sometimes it just hurts and it's easy to transfer that onto your partner. Try to learn to simply breathe and say "It hurts to be apart". Embrace it, feel it, validate it - then let it pass. Each day is a new day and it's one day closer!
Thank you for you post, it made me feel lighter for some reasones.

I personally could not imagine wanting to divorce or separate from my husband after this long strenuous process. I would think going through something like this together would only strengthen the relationship. So much money, time, effort has been put into being able to be together, only to break up at the end of it all?? I'll be damned!
i mean we are not but it has been sooooo stressed that i even do no what to do, i can not go and live with him for unknow period of time, i have job/life here that i must do:(
I just hope whoever is waiting on a good news will get it soon.
