Hello...
I am new to this thread.
CC: 01/29/19
Case is due to expedite electronically to US Embassy in Lima, Peru.
Can anyone please give me any info on the interview process in reference to actual interview scheduling protocol. I've read in other threads that appts are only made at beginning of the month or something to that effect? Do interview dates vary from embassy to embassy? Is there any way to know what interview date they are up to in Peru?
HELP!!

Quick update...
All my documentation and AOS submitted and approved. NVC expedited my case to the Embassy in Peru and now just waiting for my interview date! All in all, I must say that from the moment my case was approved by NVC up until now it has been such a smooth, rather quick process. Again, I was extremely prepared with all my documentation and forms. The day both payments cleared I was already uploading all my civil documents with each translation so that really saved me time. Word of advice, have everything scanned/translated & ready to go and that will surely save you some time. I'm so grateful that my process has been such thus far and I haven't had to wait that long. Just one last step and I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Here's hoping I can get an interview date soon!!
anyone with interview info, please share!
thanks & continued luck to all!

Can anybody tell me how long after the approval date TSC send the petition to the NVC?
My case was sent to NVC one week after it was approved from TSC.

Hey Jan,
Did you call them or email them to request it? Can you fill me in how? I’m a government worker who’s been furloughed, and I send money to help my wife. She didn’t renew her contract with her job around November because she would have to pay back every check she earned after breaking contract. I want to claim financial hardship now that the government is shutdown.
Hello,
I emailed my expedite and I do believe that financial hardship due to job loss serves as a reason to expedite. Check out the link in my above comment, it has more detailed info about expediting.

I mean, I can't say what's legitimate or not but my reason was family related and I've heard that NVC is very pro-family and reuniting children with their parents so that worked in my favor.
Read this article, maybe it'll help:

Hey guys!
So, I sent an expedite request on Tuesday and it got approvedl today! ANDDDD I received via email my case # from NVC! One day shy of a full 4 weeks since NVC received my case. Not sure if my expedite approval had anything to do with my getting my case number so soon but I am truly, very blessed! They will be expediting my case to the embassy and I cannot be happier! My husband is on his way home to us <33

Called NVC just now and was informed that my case was received on 12/18/18 and currently being processed! Great, great news! I am going to start calling every week for my case number after the New Year! Continued luck to all =)
Case Approved: 11/27/18
Case Sent to NVC: 12/11/18
Case Received by NVC: 12/18/18 (Exactly one week from date sent which I think is great. The agent also said that's a good sign ...crossing my fingers for a case # soon!!)
A word of advice guys, CALL NVC!! Do not wait around for them to communicate. I feel that every time I call, even if I'm on hold for a long time, I will get the info that I need. I've also been fortunate enough to have friendly and helpful agents who don't mind answering my questions so that really helps. But yeah, call in and ask. Don't rely solely on updates from the websites.

Hey Guys,
I received an e-mail today that Action was taken on my case so, I logged into my uscis acct and saw the update:
on 12/11/18 Case has been sent to Dept of State for Visa Processing.
14 days from NOA2. Will begin to call in a couple of days for case number. Best of luck everyone, and if you have any updates on your cases please keep us up to date. Any info helps and eases the burden of waiting when there are signs of progress.. however little it may be!

Hey, sorry for the late replay. I tried looking this information up for you. Including info from other users on this site. So yes, the copies have to be official copies of every document. But they do not have to be brand new. I’m not sure if that’s what you meant by “current”. If he was ever divorced though, those papers would be separate of his marriage certificate with you. The birth certificate issue just has to be a government issued birth certificate. It doesn’t have to be the original, just a legal birth certificate given to him by the country of his birth. The criminal report he gets from the police usually comes with a verification showing its legality and authenticity from the police department who issued it to you. So I’m assuming you took extra steps, and they sound like they are all legal documents. So yes, they should be fine. Just remember, they all need to be translated. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for the info! Big help.

Do my husband's documents have to be legalized and current? When we got married, we got several original copies of our marriage license and his birth certificate legalized just in case, so would they still be ok to use for NVC? The criminal report he is getting now and would like to know if that has to be legalized? Information on NVC is kind of vague..

Hey guys,
So, can anyone shed some light on what happens now? I read above that once approved case goes to NVC/Dept of State....where can we check the status of that? Do I call NVC? My approval letter is in today's mail. I've read that a Case number is assigned once NVC receives case? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I know ! Feels like it's absolutely slowed to a crawl in the last 15-20 days - right when we all should have been getting our approvals ..
Guessing there's not going to be much activity this week given the holidays..
Exactly!! I feel like we, May Filers, should have one by one been getting the approvals in week by week and nothing....

Hopefully other May approvals will start rolling in this week!

There is about 10 VJ members who filed in April that have been approved so far. It does seem to be slowing down...my timeline prediction for adjudication was between Nov 24 and Dec 1 now its saying Dec 1 to Dec 13
. You're right the wait is really difficult. It seems like waiting for the NOA2 is the longest part of it though. Here's to hoping we May filers hear good news soon.
Mine originally said Nov 15-20, around there and now it says Nov 25 -Dec 1
. We have a 6 month old baby and I really wish they'd consider the toll it takes on the family aspect. Every time I check VJ it says a different date, NSC is on May 15, 2018 which is my priority date ...kinda wish my case went there....thanks for replying and good luck!

May 2018 Filer I-130
TSC.... How accurate are the processing times on VJ? USCIS has TSC processing February 2018 and VJ is up to April 2018?
Is it true that there is a freeze in December and that all processing is put on hold? This waiting game is excruciatingly difficult. I hope once approved, the process until our interview is much faster
. Good luck to all!

I-130 May 2018 Filer at TSC.
VJ says they are processing MARCH 26, 2018 at the moment and the USCIS website says FEBRUARY 4, 2018. Does anyone know which is actually accurate? I don't want to get my hopes up that TSC is almost nearing April petitions when they're actually not =(
Anyone with any insight, please HELP!!!
THANK YOU =)
