So sorry you’re going through this. Out of curiosity, what does your online status say?
I’m in Florida, and my FO is Montgomery, AL. My story is almost identical to yours. I had my interview on 7/11 and was recommended for approval. They were having “system issues” so they couldn’t naturalize me that day. Haven’t heard Jack from them since. I’ve tried calling, sending a letter to the FO and sending a message to USCIS via their inbox, but to no avail.
They are legally obligated to give you a decision 120 days after your interview, but apparently that’s not enforced unless you take those incompetent ####### to court.
Again, I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. It’s absolutely unacceptable and enraging. I feel your pain.

    Have you heard anything?

My status change the day of my interview to "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for time, and location of your oath ceremony....." the officer during my interview mentioned waiting time is around a month, but never really heard after two months now. I tried calling but all they say they can't do anything as it hasn't been 120 days. It's frustrating and the fact that i see some people interviewed after me already got their oath.

  3. I had my interview july, and my application was approved the same day and was given a paper saying my case was approved.. It has been two months now that I have been waiting for the Oath Ceremony Letter, but I have not heard anything. I am from southern illinios and I have seen my county held two naturalization ceremony already. USCIS office was in St Louis, MO. Anyone had a similar case who filed for N-400 in southern IL? I am hoping I am not going to wait for more than 3 months to take the Oath Ceremony. I have travel plans February of 2024 and was hoping I'll be citizen by then :( passports takes months to arrive too.

I mean, I’m happy for the ones that see movement in their cases, but at the same time why is it so unfair? It’s the lack of transparency that gets me

Hang in there guys! I have a feeling you will hear good news soon! I'm in the same boat, my friend who have a ten year greencard applied last may and got her interview right away after biometics this coming july, meanwhile i applied december (with pending roc) and i just got my interview notice around the same time as her! I think the delays are due to pending ROC. My ROC got approved and then i got interview notice the next day.

  5. I received my greencard in the mail this week, (I didn't apply for combo card)

Now, because of covid-19 SSA offices are close and I can't update my SSN card without the restriction (Valid for work only with DHS authorization) my question is can I apply and accept a job and start working without updating it or wait for SSA office to open and update my SSN card? thanks in advance!

  6. Recently renewed my philippine passport to my married name and they made me follow 'filipino way' (my father's surname as my middle name)

now, i will receive GC in 'american way' since we applied AOS this way... my old middle name (mother's) remains my middle name)

    Example:

Maiden name : Maria Cruz Fernandez

Married/GC name : Maria Cruz Smith

name on phil passport : Maria Fernandez Smith

My question is that will I have problems traveling in and out of the US if my passport and GC middle name don't match?

  7. Medical ✔️

    Documents and forms  ✔️

    My Question:

Is it okay to pay the visa fee and book visa interview when you have your MNL# or is it advisable you wait for your case status to be 'Ready' on the website. if not when is the best time to do it?
