Hii everyone just a quick question/double checking. My fiance and I are just about ready to submit his 160, he will sign and submit it from his country. My question is, does he necessarily need to print out his submission page/scan code thing right THEN and there? Or can I go back and print it out and scan it back to him??! .. I only ask because at this time he is having difficulty accessing a printer to print that final page. Thank youu anyone!

So a little update on my current situation. After receiving a case number for a different Embassy than suppose to/originally chose on I129F forms on Friday; over the weekend I put in an Inquiry online through NVC site + emailed AskNVC both explaining my situation & attached supporting documents - I spoke to a NVC agent last night. Her speech basically was, “Thank you for atleast putting in an inquiry may take some time to review it.” I explained to her that our petition is still at NVC, she acknowledged it was, however she said “ I can not guarantee that NVC will in time change our case number or select the appropriate Embassy.” “If your petition does so happen leave our offices on route to Embassy, you can then there ask that Embassy for transfer.” .... I pretty much just hope NVC can officially make that change for us before even forwarding our petition across 🤷🏻♀️. For now I will keep checking our Status in hopes it’ll remain at NVC or the website will eventually say invalid case number.

First call NVC and try and talk to a tier 2 or a tier 2 supervisor to determine why you were assigned the Embassy that they had assigned your case two. If that doesn't work and the file goes to the Embassy follow the instructions below.
If you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, please contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and follow their instructions for case transfer. Please click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.
The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process.
Once you contact your New Embassy you then can discuss the transfer of your fee. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.
Thank youu!! Just needed some clarification. I will call NVC first thing Monday morning. Hopefully I can situate things from there on since the number was only assigned today.

I'm curious as to why you didn't ask her about it when you were on the phone with her. I guess yours should have started SKO but you didn't put what the letters were for the one they gave you.
It was out of shock and disappointment and confusion. Mentally drained to say the least as to why I didnt ask her on the phone. Dumb on my part i know. 🤦🏻♀️
@Greenbaum would you have any advice on my current situation? I know you have previously posted that one should contact the Embassy that they wish to have their case/interview and ask how to transfer. Does this still hold true in my situation being that its still at NVC? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welll things were going great until.. I received my case # tonight 😔
Soo I called NVC just before they closed. I was so happy to hear the lady on the other line asking for more details regarding my petition until she said those first 3 letters of the Embassy and I was like noooo! I wrote it down and thanked her and hung up. I couldn’t believe my ears after all this wait time. (1year today since filing petition). It was the wrong embassy!!
So after I checked and double checked the 3 letter case # it was confirmed that it is not the country of legal residency of my fiance. So now what?! The case number was created today. The status still shows at NVC. My question now is... do I contact NVC on how to go about transfering embassys? Since petition is still at NVC. Or do I contact the Embassy of my fiances residency and ask how to transfer?

My lawsuit is drafted. Going to file it in about a week after consultation with a lawyer. 8 more days until the 1 year mark. Absurd.
I wish you the best of luck hun🤗 Unfortunately I know this is not the way you wanted things to go. But finally at the end of this, you will finally be reunited with your loved one. And years later you will look back at this venture and just smile and see its worth beside you. (Even though we are boiling pots at this point) Stay strong, stay positive! Answers will follow through finally🙏

Hi..can you teach me how to contact a senator of the state so i will tell my fiancee..tank you,
Helloo 👋 I personally contacted my Senator. Some people on here suggest to contact either your local senate or congress, not both. The first Senator I chose to write never responded. ( I waited about a week or so for a response) Then I tried my second State Senator. Within a couple of days of writing her, her office responded to me.
Go here https://www.senate.gov/index.htm
on the top right corner click on the drop down “Find Your Senators”. Select your State. A new page will open with your States two Senators. Beside their name usually has their contact information or go to each Senators main personal website and in there they have more depth information on how to contact and sometimes specifically an immigration category. Best of luck!!

All you can do is hang on tight and count your blessings. My current situation is that I waited 310 days until I finally received any news, a RFE. (December Filer) + there’s actually another person who is still waiting on their NOA2 and they are a November filer. It’s a sad unfortunate reality, everyone’s patience is tested

Ooh okay, yeah that happened to me too. I hope they’re able to receive better and positive news!!

Good luck! No updates.
Thank you! Ugh Im always thinking about you and your status just dont want to annoy you with tagged notifications😔 Any luck with Senator? Are they going to call in again on your behalf? This is so absurd. What about contacting your other state senator?

RFE sent out as of this afternoon, overnighted it. Fingers crossed 🤞

Most likely not a coincidence. Your turn was a good 4 months ago. They're absolutely incompetent. Throw in a i94 for both of you (travel history) from DHS. You can get it online.
Ooh wow I forgot about that option too.. right as I read this I inputed my information into the DHS travel history site but its not showing any of my travels/no record?! Soo odd. Ugh I wish this would’ve worked, i’m typing the correct info too. What a bummer I don’t quite understand why :( Blesss your heart hun it was a great idea tooo

Well that should be easy. You'll be approved soon! but ridiculous it took so long to even ask for that RFE, how dumb. What did you send in originally?
Thank youu I hope soo! Ridiculous is right, that’s where I am scratching my head, was it a pure coincidence timing that it was finally my turn to be looked at? Or was it specifically because I reached out to my Sentator, little over 2 weeks ago & I get this response. I’ll never know what happened here. I sent in Iteneriarys of flights, boarding pass, bunchh of pictures, conversation also specifically telling my fiancé I am boarding the plane ill be there soon with time stamp etc. This time ill scan my passport stamps of the destinations re-send boarding passes and more photos with location/date on them, and If I can gather little more other things like even my luggage tag of location and other stuff I can find I hope it’ll be enough.

Got a reply from the service request. This all they wrote.
The status of this service request is:
On October 12, 2018, you contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about your I-129F because you believe your case is outside normal processing times. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
Your case is currently delayed because the required security checks are still pending. We cannot make a decision on your case until we receive the results of these security checks.
We hope this information is helpful to you.
Called Senator and they said they did not receive a reply yet. It has already been 20 days. After 10 more days they can call, etc.Seems like I'm going to file a lawsuit on November 20th. Better start preparing.
Wow im so so sorry! Ugh god I was really hoping you would be over that security hump already 😔 Im just happy you did do all you can do - you checked off all the needed basics checklist to file the lawsuit.
It would be wonderful though if you can atleast get a RFE or Approval a month from now, when you plan to file instead.
Im trying to sprinkle some hope & positivity only because there is this 1 month gap from now until then, and no one really knows the actuality of how long background checks -> adjudication it really takes. I pray you are near the end of checks and the adjudication is rapid. Alot can happen in a month, I hope you dont have to put in any more effort than you already have!

An RFE is better than no news after this amount of time. Once you send in the required info, you'll at least know they will approve within about 60 days, hopefully. Hang in there!
I still got jack from them. Waiting on the 4th outside of normal processing time inquiry and them to reply to the senator....
Thank you! Hopefully its an easy fix and this nightmare can soon be over.
No clue if it was just my time and officer made note for RFE, or if my senators contact to USCIS had any influence. (Even though I have not yet received a response from their office since they tried contacting USCIS)
Ugh goodluck! I think enough time has passed since you inquired and senator as well, I really do believe by the end of the week you’ll have your answer! I have a feeling someone may have started working on your case😌 I sure hope so atleast for the sake of your sanity🙏

Update: Day 307 today.
After a meltdown just before, I logged into new site ( I typically wait until 9pm eastern time when offices close to check site for a possible movement update) I logged in just before like - Efff it let me see if any midday progress. And there it was Request for Evidence sent out Today Oct. 16th. Im an emotional mess I don’t know how to feel shocked of sudden urge to check and there it was. I am just anxious to get the literal letter in the mail. I would assume hopefully by Friday or Saturday the soonest?
Everyone please hang in there that is left waiting I feel your pain, the tears, the madness, the emotions. Everyone that is left that movement will come forward soon. Remain strong!

Thanks! Don't worry, I have a feeling you'll be approved next week! You're not stuck in the security check blackhole like me. Your case just seems like a lazy employee based on the service request replies.
Thank you I hope you’re right but I’ve finally lowered my expectations and shrug off each passing weekday. I called my Senators office today, they told me that they sent in a request on my behalf and they’re waiting on a response from USCIS. I hope your Senates office gives you better news and that your case is in the hands of an officer finally. Positive prayers and thoughts over the weekend 😌

I have a question.
My husband received his interview for September BUT its for his i751 to remove conditions been pending since Aug2022.
We also applied for the N400 in April of this year.
His notice only states an interview for the i751 and not n400…. What do you suppose will happen. Will it be a combo is really my question?
