What time was your ceremony? @GreatDane and I were in the same ceremony today at 2:30.

CONGRATULATIONS all of Seattle folks who have/are getting through. Now don't forget to vote; apply for passport, enhanced drivers licenceb ssn updates; workplace updates etc...

    #paperworkneverends

To me the best part was when the officer referred to President Obama's quote instead of you know whose...🤣🤣🤣

At was at the same ceremony! I was second to last (or maybe last) called.

I loved that she quoted Obama instead of Trump - it made me feel better about the ceremony. 🙂

  2. Hey, guys!

I had my interview and my oath ceremony today. It went really well, and everyone was very kind.

The only awkward thing was watching a video during the ceremony starring the Great Orange Jerk (also a music video of the lame song they play at his rallies). Besides that, it was short and sweet. The keynote speaker was really cool, and stressed that we are not second class citizens and how hard our journey was to get to this point.

So, yeah, the Seattle office is really great even though it’s painfully backlogged.

Hang in there, you will make it. ❤️

Congrats to both of you! Just for rest of us to get some idea for how long we might need to wait: could you please share when you applied and when completed your Biometrics appointments?

    Thanks!

    Sure!

I applied in July 2017, and had my biometrics done in August 2017. I had been in line for an interview since August 2017. I got a notification on September 5 that my interview had been scheduled, and I received my actual notice yesterday in the mail.

Yes, the Seattle office is as slow as a turtle!  :bonk:  I wish I had received RFE or anything since I haven't heard anything!  :dead:

July/Aug, 2017 Seattle filers are getting interview dates!!??  :wow::wow::wow:    I'm an Aug, 2017 filer!  :joy:

I can confirm! I’m a July 2017 n400 filer in Seattle. I got my notification on September 5th that my interview has been scheduled, and I got the physical letter in the mail yesterday. My appointment is on October 11th! 🙂

  5. Hello,

I’m so sorry to hear your case is undecided. My lawyer warned me that not getting approved during the interview is the “new normal” and not to fret over it too much (though it is terribly frustrating). Just remember that you’re in the home stretch and you’ll be done with this journey soon!

    Hang in there! ❤️

This just means it is very likely quite a few will have to do fingerprints again because they expire after 15 months! (Already saw one such report on another forum)

I know. ☹️ It’s such an inconvenience. I’m so sorry you have such a long wait ahead of you.

    We’ll get there eventually. ❤️

Wow, that is more than a year already 😨 i would have gone bonkers..lol..are you making an infopass or something? I think it has taken way too looooong already

I’m not going to lie - it’s wearing me down. ☹️

Unfortunately my case isn’t qualified for an inquiry yet. My reciept date is July 27 2017, and my field office case inquiry date is anything before April 25, 2017. So I’m still within an acceptable timeline (by their standards).

I just have to wait and try not to let the stress of the process get to me. 😔

Just be glad you are not filing in Dallas

    Omg, I know! 😱

Thank you for your response..i have already filed by mail 🤷 i should have done a little more research and did the online..i was just afraid of the glitches and what not, you know, technology failures..lol oh well, cant really do anythig now but wait

Yeah, same here. If I knew then what I know now I would have filed online as well. 😓

Did you file by mail? What is your field office?

I filed through mail, and my office is in Seattle (which is very backlogged), so I understand the frustration of having other cases getting approved before yours even though their receipt date is after your own. ❤️

From what I’ve been reading there isn’t much rhyme or reason as to how the USCIS is processing their workload, even though their website says they “generally” process the cases in the order in which they were received.

    It’s just luck, I guess! 😩

My interview is tomorrow morning and I'm nervous as heck now! I've arranged for my kids to sleep at a friends tonight and go to school with them tomorrow as I'll have to be up at 4am to start the several hour drive to Denver for my 9am appointment, (I'm aiming to get there about 30 minutes early.) I wasn't nervous until today, and know I've got all the relevant documents I may be asked for, and know the civics requirements, so I don't understand while I feel this way. I'll certainly be glad when all this is behind me! 😌

    Darren.

You’re going to do great! 😊
