  1. I understand how u feel, but I think it has a lot to do with how much you post, how often and about the daily connections with the others your making. sometimes i feel like I am not so close to anyone and if I disappeared who would notice, but in this forum its just like and by no way is it personal. Its a hard process...... don't get discouraged things will get better.... We all have our place here and even if you don't feel it we all make this site what it is.....

  2. Well, its still fourty minutes until Wednesday here in CA but oh well. Its Wednesday somewhere in the world!

We are leaving tomorrow for a big vacation to the Middle East so I probably won't be around VJ much for quite some time. I am glad to hear of all the visa approvals, babies being born, and all that fun stuff. I hope to read about more good news when I either get time to go online or when I get back!

Of course now I suddenly have that first twinge of a sore throat so now I'm worried I will get sick at the start of the trip. I sucked on a zinc lozenge, ate some vitamins, and loaded up on water, fruits, and veggies. HELP! What else can I quickly do to get this handled before I end up with a full blown cold!? :crying:

    Okay happy hump day everyone!

Hey everyone! Its been one week so far and we are still waiting on hubbys social security card... hopefully it comes sooooon !!!!!!!!

It's been 2 weeks but still waiting too. So, you're not alone. We still have 2 weeks more to go before we can call SSA Office. Hopefully, we'll receive it soon!

    Rhosie (F)

Don't worry guys.. you will receive it very soon... I was waiting for my SSN 4 weeks (before EAD having a K-1 visa)... but after EAD I received it in 3 days (asked them to change my last name in card)... I guess it took long time in the beginning because it was first time... :) Good luck :)

Same as you Elmira. I requested for a name change from single to my married name. But still have to undergo the same waiting time. Anyway, I will be patiently waiting as always. :)

    Rhosie (F)

Really??? hmmm... then I would worry too..... :(

My waiting for the Social Security card is over now. Just checked the mailbox and it's there! It took 2 weeks and 1 day for it to arrive in the mail. I also got my state ID yesterday which I applied for on the same day I applied for my SSN. So, it's done and I just need to find a job. How's your job hunting going Elmira?

    Rhosie (F)

Slooooooooow... I send 20 resumes everyday... and receive refusals because I am overqualified... 1 week ago droped my resume at one recruiting agency.. and they called me today saying that they found a job for me, but i need to go for interview... so I need to send all my positive energy + it is $37000 per year what is great for beginning... what about you?

good luck on the interview it would be a great start
