Hanna Bui reacted to escape in VAWA, Part 11
Hey guys,
I want to share these two case tracker apps I have been using.
I was using them when I first applied for my I-130 and I-485. I got traumatized with the notification I got of my I-485 denial. At the time, it still baffled me that my ex was such a bad person and did not wish me well. After 1+ year, this doesn’t bother me anymore and I’m using those apps again.
In sum... hope this is helpful for someone else. I found the first app more useful. You can upload your case, and also do a search on the cases before yours to see if others are getting approved.

Congratulations. Hope that you will be approved GC in a spot.
I guess that they have counted to adjust I485 about 23 month like USCIS updated on their processing time. Not count from they received from NBC transffering.
I am approved VAWA after yours a month. Maybe i will get interview in November.

Folks I am disgusted with mistakes made by some attorneys when they fill out the forms. When the attorney gives you the forms to sign DO NOT sign until you make sure that the attorney filled out correctly the forms, please observe the dates, such as your marriage date, dates, and places where you lived, dates and places where you worked etc. If you notice some mistake now then when attending the interview upfront tell the Immigration officer that you noticed some mistakes in your forms and you want to correct right there.

You can make an account here to check your status, but USCIS is not very good at online updates, just know that.
You will need your receipt notice to see your case number. Each form has a different case number. Did you only file I-360 or also I-485, I-765 and I-131?

USCIS is currently adjudicating cases from May/June 2017, so something definitely went wrong with yours.
1. Check I-360, VSC, there will be a link for being out of processing times. Enter your information there.
https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
2. Write a letter to the VAWA Unit at VSC to inquire about your case. Include a copy of your receipt notice.
3. Contact your congressman to inquire on your behalf. You can Google who your responsible congressman is and they typically have a contact form on their website for any government agency inquiries.
4. Contact the USCIS ombudsman.

This girl who lived with her husband for 24hours she works at a Law office and the attorney told her that USCIS would NOT approve her VAWA petition at all, and the attorney declined to file her VAWA petition. I filed her VAWA petition and she was approved.

You have reposted the same post multiple times today already. Please just wait until someone responds who knows the answer. When nobody responds, it means nobody knows the answer. We all see your post

You can get married whenever you want to after I-360 approval. It will not have any effects on citizenship. You can file for citizenship after 3 years (instead of 5).

I had a case the person lived with her husband for 24 hours and she was approved. Another case the guy lived with his wife 6 days, he was approved too and cases of living together 30 /45 days I had hundreds approved, that being said it's not the time you lived together that they will take into consideration but if you had a bonafide marriage.

Congrats!!!! When I saw the post, I smiled so wide!!!! Yaaaay!! God is the greatest!! Blessings on your new life going forward! In 2 years and 9 months you will be able to apply for citizenship, providing you don’t get married again before then. Don’t forget to file your taxes every year. I heard it is a determining factor in citizenship approval.

It honestly depends. I-485 is first transferred to the National Benefits Center. Some people get an online update for case transfer for this. Yours seems to be one. Sandra always says they typically take 30-45 days to work on it before transferring it to the local office. It can take longer though. USCIS is messy when it comes to online updates, so not everyone gets an update when the case gets transferred from NBC to the local office. I’ve never gotten that update but I got an update that my interview was scheduled, so I think they skipped that update. Don’t rely too much on online updates but more on actual notices you receive in the mail. Now it is up to how fast your local office is until you get scheduled for an interview.

I assume that you are not in removal proceedings, you will be fine. Usually they take 5/10 days to approve the GC, despite I saw some cases that took 2/5months for approval after the interview.

Hi folks. The Departament of Homeland Security released an unofficial copy of the proposed rule of inadmissibility on Public charge grounds, and the public charge inadmissibility ground does apply to VAWA petitioners. They will discontinue form I864W. The rules will become effective probaby in January 2019.
If you want to read about the VAWA exemption I am posting here the unofficial copy, read pages 85/88 (4.EXEMPTIONS) and § 212.23 Exemptions and waivers for public charge ground of inadmissibility, pages 431/433

In case VAWA is not reauthorized the cases pending will be adjudicated, but then they will not receive new petitions.I am sure 100% they wil reauthorize.
