Got NOA letter on Friday (22nd). Happy to see things are moving forward for so many! Hoping it won't be long for the rest of our fellow December filers who are waiting for their NOA.
Question for those who know: is the service center the address in the lower left of the NOA1? (Nebraska, in my case)

@alol Congrats for your approved GC!!! Wonderful news!
I have my interview on Jan 30th, I'll let you know how it goes.Did you also bring the affidavit of support with all related documents to the interview? I already sumbitted them and I'm not sure if I should collect them again for the interview
Hey! Congrats on the interview date!
Yes, we brought every form & piece of evidence included in the original petition, although the officer didn't ask for any of it – she was more interested in new evidence. I figure it can't hurt to bring it, and if it gives you additional piece of mind, then it's worthwhile.

So I had my interview yesterday!
It was all very straightforward. Arrived at the USCIS office about 30 minutes ahead of our appointment time which was 7:15, checked in, got given a ticket with a number on it, there were a few couples already seated ahead of us. Every few minutes another couple had their numbers called and went through. The officers seemed to vary from cheerful to gruff (but hey - it was early!)
Our number got called at about 7:25, and the officer took us through to her office. She was cheerful and kind, and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. She put us under oath, asked us if our address was the same as the application – we had moved, so it wasn't - she wrote down the updated address and asked us why we moved. Then she asked us how we met - we explained our story (there are a few details which are interesting which she probed about), she then asked us who was at our wedding – our parents weren't there, so she asked a bit about that. She asked who does the cooking, and who is 'the better cook' . She asked about our pet (we have an adorable cat), and who she belonged to before our marriage.
She then asked what we'd brought to show her. We brought a ton of stuff, with the idea that it's better to be safe than sorry, including bills, our lease for our townhouse, bank statements, insurance documents, as well as our original petition along with all the evidence we submitted with that, and a big pile of photos (we printed out about 120 photos including travel, our wedding, trips with family, and with friends). She was particularly interested in the photos, so we started with those. I'd placed about 20 photos which I thought would be of particular interest to the officer in the front, so I handed those to her. She looked through them, asking a number of questions about them, who was in them, where they were taken and so on. She seemed keen to look at the other photos, so I handed the rest of the pile to her and she went through every one!
A number of questions came up naturally in the course of looking through the photos, but nothing too specific, and was more like a casual conversation than formal questions. She leafed through the other documents we'd brought, noted down what they were and moved on to asking the Yes / No questions from the i-485. Once that was done, she tried to access something on her computer, which wasn't working. She tried restarting it to no avail, so she ended the interview there, saying that they'd let us know if there's any problems, but to expect my GC within 30 days!
My wife said she heard the words 'you're approved' but I didn't catch that! In any case, when I logged onto the DHS case tracker this morning, it's showing my "New Card Is Being Produced", so I'm hoping it will arrive in a few days time!
This all happened way more quickly than I was expecting, so I feel extraordinarily lucky. Good luck everyone!

Whoa. Woke up with a very unexpected update from USCIS this morning: Interview Was Scheduled. I guess I'll find out when it is in the next few days!
It seems extremely quick especially given as cases at the Seattle office seem to take much longer than average. Don't lose hope people!
I'll keep you all posted!
Appointment notification arrived today, appointment is set for January 17th, bright and early at 7:15 am!

Yeah, honestly I'm shocked. I can't help but wonder if there's been a mistake. I'll update if & when I receive anything else.

Got an update online that my interview was scheduled this morning. I'll receive the official notice in the mail in the next few days!

I doubt I’m getting my EAD before Christmas with a 7/30 pd, I’ve heard that a lot of officers are on vacation right now...
at at least no one has gone for the state gov health job that I want for the past 3 months, I doubt anyone will submit anything during holiday season.
Gotta stay hopeful!
It definitely could happen, I'm sure you won't be waiting much longer in any case!
I'd probably apply for the job anyway - when you get an offer, you could use it to expedite your EAD application...

EAD arrived Thursday last week, which is a big step forward! Now settling in for the long wait for an interview date.
When my card shipped, the eGov tracker updated with a USPS tracking number, which was really useful to prevent me from obsessively checking the mailbox
Hopefully everyone else here has been receiving their cards, too...

Got the i-797 approval notices in the mail today, hopefully the card will follow soon.
For what it's worth to anyone wondering, the eGov tracker is still showing 'Case was Received', while the DHS tracker is showing 'Case was Approved', so bear in mind the different trackers can show different statuses.

Hello Seattle filers ? Any update ? ☹️
Nothing here, but I noticed on the Case Processing times, Seattle's processing time for I-485 cases has slipped to 15 - 26.5 months 😧

Thank you @alol !
So then, maybe I will not receive any news in a few months right?
The status for the EAD is "Case was received" it has not changed since the begining. Is this normal? What is supposed to be the next status for that?
Yeah! Fingers crossed hahaSadly yes, it could be a little while before there is more news, but keeping on the bright side, quite a few people seem to get interviews quickly, so there's always a chance!
I think the 'normal' next step in the i-765 is to have its status change to "Fingerprint review was completed" and then when the card is going to be shipped "Card is being produced". Given the delays to EADs at the moment, I don't think it's at all abnormal for the EAD to be stuck on "Case was received".
As is evidenced by @GreyhoundMom88's case, the i-765 and i-485 cases are processed independently and (especially with the recent slowing of EADs) it's not uncommon for people to have their green card in hand before any action is taken on their EAD application!

Hello! I am another July AOS filer who just discover this forum!
I filed my I-130 in May and then I applied for AOS in July. The National Benefits Center is processing my case
I recently received my Courtesy letter and the status of my AOS changed to "Case is ready to schedule an interview", do you know if I will receive soon my EAD or my Appointment for the interview?
Here is my timeline:
Feb 17 Married to an USC in Spain
May 16 - I-130 Received by USCIS
May 22 - NOA for I-130 Received
Jul 11 - AOS + EAD + AP Received by USCIS
Jul 18 - 3 NOAs Received
Jul 25 - Appointment for biometrics received
Aug 1 - RFE for I-485 was mailed (I filed an old version of I-485)Aug 8 - Appoinment for biometrics
Aug 10 - I changed my address from Delaware to Virginia
Aug 15 - Response to RFE received by USCIS
Aug 24 - Courtesy letter about I-693 received
Aud 24 - Case is ready to be scheduled for an interviewHey @Emaillo! Welcome!
'Ready to be scheduled for interview' means that your case is in a queue waiting for an interview appointment at your field office. How long it takes from here really depends on the backlog at the local office; in some cases you might be looking at 6 - 12 months or even more, others might only be weeks.
You should get another USCIS notification: "Interview was scheduled" when your interview notice is in the mail (although the trackers aren't always 100% reliable).
Based on current EAD adjudication history on VJ, your EAD will take a few more months to process - they're taking roughly 4.5 - 5.5 months at present
Fingers crossed that you get your interview date soon! 🤞

We got notification today that an interview was scheduled!!!! Way faster than I thought. And I have a promising job lead. Things are falling into place
June 30th: sent AOS packet (from F-1: I-485, I-130, I-765 and I-693 sent already)
July 2: packet delivered
July 7: received Notice of acceptance for all three
Aug. 2: Biometrics completed
Aug. 7: Interview ready to be scheduled
Aug. 9: Fingerprint Review complete
Aug. 24: Interview has been scheduled (!!!!!!). Waiting for notice in mail to see when it is scheduled.
We’re based out of Cincinnati. National benefits Center handled ours. We did NOT use a lawyer, but consulted with one prior to sending everything in.
So happy!
That really is quick! Congratulations! Please let us know when your interview is when you receive your notice, and keep us updated!

I'm currently in the process of transferring from the UK to the US with my company on an L1a visa, likely to move in the next few months (I am a British citizen).
I am already married to a US citizen and we currently live together in the UK. We decided not to go for the IR-1 or K-3 visa straight away as it was going to take too long to process, so the L1 visa was a quicker way to move to the US. We would then look at trying to get a marriage visa once we're settled in the US. Is there a different process to transfer from an L1 visa to an IR-1/K-3, compared to if I was to apply for one from the UK, without an L1?
As others have noted, you'll be adjusting status directly to a Green Card, where the wait depends on the backlog at your local office. L1-A is 'dual intent' so you should be ok getting the visa and getting into the US. The advantage of an L1 is that if you're planning to stay with your employer long-term, you will be able to work throughout the adjustment process (which you should plan to take 12 - 18 months).
Have you looked at direct consular filing of an IR visa with the London Embassy instead of the L1? Given as you're already married and living together in the UK, it might be a relatively quick (and potentially cheaper) option for you to get your green card, which might be preferable if you want to shop around for new jobs once you get to the US.

Hi folks. I've seen a few people create local office topics, and didn't spot one for Seattle, so thought it might be a good way of keeping one another updated on how long cases are taking and other experiences.
From what I can see Seattle isn't one of the 'quick' offices, so hearing about other people's progress & successes will keep me going for a bit
Here's my timeline:
Adjusting from L1-A visa, married February 17th 2018.
July 12th - Mailed package to Chicago lockbox
July 16th - Package received in Chicago
July 24th - Checks cashed in the morning & received electronic notifications in the evening
July 29th - Received Paper copies of receipts
August 3rd - Received biometrics appointment notice
August 14th - Biometrics appointment
August 17th - Case is ready to be scheduled for interview
Good luck, everyone!

Just had my biometrics appointment at the Tukwila (Seattle) Support Center. Really quick and very much painless, the people I interacted with were all lovely. Anyway, now awaiting an update on my i-485. I'll post my current timeline once that's done.
Hope everyone's cases are progressing well

Yes, your adjustment of status doesn't affect your H1B visa, however, when it expires, you'll need to wait for your EAD before you can start to work again. If you're very lucky, you'll receive your EAD before your visa expires, but I wouldn't count on it.
Depending on your company, if you explain the situation to them, they might keep your job open for you while waiting for your EAD if there's a gap.

Ok, I figured it out. This does seem to be correct, but you can also derive it from the first three letters of the receipt number, the codes are in the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UmCPGDCa8Ffjbc0X-tHb1tNRjRz0IYVWmhT6q4jU53k/edit#gid=424873866
