  1. Update

On 9/24/21 only the N400 interview was scheduled but it ended up being a combo interview because the I 751 case was still pending. The IO was very nice she waited for me because I dropped my husband off and was waiting near by. First the IO interviewed both of us then we were separated. Husband was interviewed first then it was me for the I 751 case. After my interview the IO said  we will be notified by mail for the decision and will interview my husband for the N 400 case. After his interview he received a paper that he passed the civic and read/write rest and I 751 case decision pending. Today I received a text notification about decision on I 751 case, when I checked IT IS APPROVED and approval notice sent. OMG the excitement on my face 😀. Oath ceremony scheduled for 10/25/21 best birthday gift ever 💃💃. Finally this process is coming to an end. Thank you to visa journey family we would not have done it without you all. Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

They give a reason or just because we can?

The letter says, we have completed a preliminary review of the application or petition ( your case) list above. As part of the standard processing, we transfered your case to the USCIS office listed below that have jurisdiction over your case. The will notify you in writing when they make a decision on your case or if they need additional information.

Hello, I was reading the instructions and debating about whether or not I need to make a check for the biometrics?

On page 2 of the instructions it says:

U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident Spouse. If you are the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse, you do not need to include a biometric services fee at the time this petition is submitted. If USCIS later notifies you that you must submit your biometrics, you will receive a biometric services appointment notice with instructions on how to submit the additional fee.

I am married to a US citizen and removing the condition, so I am thinking I do not need it just now and if they require biometrics again, I will pay then?

You need  to include the biometric fee if you sending I 751petition before OCT 2nd and after OCT 2nd there is no biometric fee but you pay $160 more

    Hi everyone,

Just got the text msg from lockbox. And yes, they sent me around 11:30 pm lol. A time I will never expect them to send a message😂

and as @Bob in Boston said, my service center is indeed EAC so we are together haha. And it is such a coincidence that everybody in EAC, based on the Google sheet, have B2 visa as original visa category haha.

Now I am waiting for the NOA, I hope it will arrive before October

You will receive the NOA within a week

Update : Received my extension letter today.
    9/1 : Sent packet off

    9/3: Received

    9/10: money order cashed

Quick question , where it says petitioner and beneficiary is it suppose to be my name (GC holder for both) because that’s on mine. Is that a typo 🤦🏽‍♀️

No it is not a typo mistake. You are the petitioner and the beneficiary.

we will put N/A when they ask about other names used and about children.

what about the question about the interpreter and the preparer(if other than the petitioner) at the end? leave it blank or N/A

what about the question if the marriage ended? we are still together so blank or N/A?

    thanks

We put N/A for anything that does not apply to  us. Question about interperter and preparer put N/A

Question about when marriage ended put N/A

    Never leave it blank.

Just for curiosity, not sure if you are aware. If lockbox is receving the documents and scanning everything, and that the local office is who actually approves the application so what is the service center's role in here?

For my understanding, the service centers processes the petition/application and then assign it to the local office for interview and approval

Hello everyone! My GC expires on 11/30, so it is finally that time of the year! This forum has already helped me a lot. My husband and I were able to gather all the supporting documents yesterday and the envelope is ready to be sent tomorrow!
Does anyone know if it would be possible to travel abroad in November and come back before the expiration date without issues, in case I don’t have the extension letter by then? Good luck to you all!

If you send the package tomorrow like you said,  you will definitely have the extension letter before November.
