    Hello guys!

So yesterday I got an email notification that my case has been APPROVED! Praise GOD! 😍😭

I’m so happy right now (plus tears of joy 😭) and I really want it to share it with guys! 😊❤️

    1-30 sent: April 17, 2018

    Texas Service Center

    NOA1: April 23, 2018

    NOA2: October 3, 2018

Goodluck and keep faith to those who still waiting for approval. 💕💕💕

Holy smoke. An approval after my PD and the end of April! Any April filer from Texas can be approved at any moment apparently. Congratulations!!

I'm Texas 19th NOA1! COME ON TEXAS. LETS GO

Have the processing times just changed and gone from 5- 7 month to 7 - 9 month on the USCIS website?

Depends what service center and depends on what conditions the i-130s were filed under.

If I remember correctly (as I check obsessively, daily) Permanent Resident filing for Spouse or Relative was 5-7 months and now has indeed gone up to 7-9 months. But US Citizen filing for Spouse or Relative has stayed the same.

It does look like things have slowed down slightly but, luckily for us Texas filers, we're the next month to be processed, so October and November should be our months!

    March 7th Texas.

Just got got the first RFE while expecting for the approval. Kinda devastated but gotta keep pushing.

Does anyone  know if it really takes 30-45 days to get approved after sending the package back?

please give me some good news everyone :( 😔

I can't speak from any experience other than lurking in these forums, but I think I've seen more cases get approved within a week or two after USCIS receives the RFE.

I really don't know for sure, but I would say that's good news... they looked at your case and didn't deny it! I haven't seen a single case rejected after an RFE yet, so just make sure you provide the evidence and you should rest easy knowing that you just have to wait a bit longer! Is it too personal if I ask what they requested?

  4. You can file as soon as. We filed one month after our marriage for no particular reason.

You may have known each other for 20 years and finally decided to get married and start the application. Great. Or, you may have met just 1 day before your marriage. Suspicious. So yes, it is content driven - you would need to put in as much evidence of your relationship as possible. :content:

    Received our NOA2! So Excited!!!!!!

    Updated my timeline

    Texas Service Center

NOA1- March 29 (Old Site and Paper)/ April 2 (New Site)

    NOA2- September 24th

I received an update on the Visa Tracker at at about 6pm on the 24th, I didn't believe it at first because well we've all been in the waiting game. So I immediately went to sign in to the new site and my status had not changed, but THEN, I signed in to the old site and it confirmed that my case had been approved. This morning (Sept 25th) I received the official email that there had been an update on my case status and when I checked the new site it also no reflects my status change to approved as of September 24th.  Detailing this part for people who get their notifications in a weird way too, I know some people on here never even see their status update on the site but just get it in the mail.

    NVC here we come!

Congratulations! Do you have a link to the old and new site, not sure which one I'm looking at or how to find the other one.

    today I got the email

On September 24, 2018, we sent your case to the Department of State for visa processing.

how long it takes NVC to receive the case?

when I will get the case number from NVC?

Based on what I've seen with others, it looks like it takes 1-2 weeks for NVC to get the case from USCIS. After that it looks like 4-8 weeks to be assigned a case number.

    Hi everyone

My husband filed for my petition under Texas SC.

    PD- March 21, 2018

    NOA1- March 31, 2018

    NOA2- just received today September 24, 2018

Just curious and getting excited of what will be the next??. Are we just gonna wait for the NVC notice?

    Congratulations!

Depends how your husband received it. If he got a notice by post, I think it's meant to explain on there what happens next, i.e. it will be sent to the NVC. But yes, waiting game a bit more.

The process from here for CR1 is:

     - i130 NOA2 received.

     - USCIS sends to NVC (currently looks to be between 2-3 weeks)

     - NVC assigns case number (4-8 weeks). They should notify you but lots of people recommend calling once or twice a week.

     - You complete the case at NVC.

     - NVC pass case onto local embassy and interview process begins.

Hello April filers..I have been following VJ for quite a while now although I didn't create any account here. Today, my case status showed case was approved...I couldn't believe my eyes.Thought I would share with my fellow members who have been anxious like us..

FANTASTIC NEWS. Congratulations and thanks for sharing! You're our first Texas April approval, and I'm Texas too so I'll stop biting my nails for a bit. Good luck on the NVC process.

  10. Hello,

I am the beneficiary from the UK and the sponsor, my wife, is currently living with her parents. A lot of reviews on interview stage questions concern current place of residence and I thought that might work against us. She just recently moved back in with her parents as its closer to her new job and we of course are planning to move out almost immediately once we find a job for me too. I currently live at home too (we are a young but motivated couple, 25 years old).

Does anybody have any experience or thoughts on if this pose a challenge?

    Thanks

  11. I'm an April 2018 filer (not yet approved) but saw a fellow April filer got their case expedited and approved in about 1-2 months! The quote below is what they explained, but the gist seems to be to reach out to your local senator and have them contact USCIS to expedite. If you are really worried then this might be an option to explore!

"You don’t send your case to the local senator. You ask you senator or Congress person to request USCIS expedite your case given meeting one or more of USCIS’ expedite criteria: humanitarian reasons, economic hardship of individual, in the interest of U.S. culture (NGO’s), in the interest of U.S. government ( a branch of the government needs to indicate this), in USG interest. Search for USCIS expedite for more information. It’s not easy and many expedite requests don’t get approved." - ChrisJay11
