Should not be a problem at POE. Everything I have read here on VJ confirms that the CXR disc is not kept as part of the packet on admission.
In our case, it was handed back to my now-husband and it is somewhere on his messy desk.
That's what I told him, but he said the time he doesnt have it is when they will want it. He was able to get another copy though

I'm not sure where to post this, but my fiance is on his way to the USA and just realized he did not bring the chest xray he was given at the medical examination.. what do we do???

My fiance is on his way to the airport in Oslo to come to the USA. He just realized he left the chest xray CD at his brothers house in Kristansand. He doesnt have time to to go back. Is that required at the POE?? He is close to the place where he got the xray so is going to try to get another cd made. Please help

Just wanted to chime in, on the conversation around the embassy in Stockholm for those preparing for that visit - it is a very nice place with friendly people! I went with my now-husband to his interview, and I couldn't go inside with him (we weren't sure if I would be able to or not), and the officer actually seemed almost sorry he couldn't let me in. Was not intimidating at all. I think it can be a little intimidating, just for the fact that it's something new you haven't done before. But my husband said everyone was nice and he didn't really have anything negative to say about the entire experience at all. It felt like he was in and out pretty quick also - since I couldn't go with him, I took a taxi back to our hotel about 15 minutes away. I believe I was only in our room for maybe 20 minutes before he'd called to say he was done and headed to me.
Good luck to those with upcoming interviews!!! It is such an amazing feeling and a huge accomplishment!!
My fiance said everything about the embassy was great too. Just want into some complications but I still believe the courier was at fault. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Update. Got a tracker it left the postnord 09-09. Nothing else shows on the tracker. It looks like it will enter a postal office for pickup and not personal delivery
Ours left 09-09 as well. Has not updated since then..

Sometimes I wonder if they use a horse and a carriage. Its redicilous how slow they are. Turtle makes it faster from point A to B
Agreed. My fiance and I were talking earlier that's its crazy I can send him something from the USA and it gets there quicker.

Wait. You had yo recover all documents again too? Wow that sucks. It better not happen me too ;(
Nope, that's the crazy part. They got the documents but the passport was lost. The DHL driver claimed he put it in the envelope but the embassy said they never got it. Its been a mess. We are just ready for him to get to the US, but apparently postnord is the slowest mailing company on the planet lol.

Wow really? They lost your passport ? 🤦♂️ omg
We dont know who did, they say it was DHL, DHL said it wasnt. But either way that was another significant chunk of money and time wasted. Not to mention a lot of frustration and tears. But as him and I both say, one second, minute, day closer.

I did not get a tracking number 🤷♂️
I think we only did because we had so many issues. When we sent back the papers they had requested, along with his passport, his passport got lost somewhere and we had to pay for another passport and another shipment to the embassy.

Should have made sure DHL was delivering it haha. USA to me took couple of days 🤣
I had asked the embassy if we could even pay extra for DHL to pick it up and deliver it and they said no. they did send us a tracking number but it doesnt change and no one at postnord knows where it's at.

What can I say. I'm also in Norway oslo. I'm also still waiting
It is sure frustrating. He is closer to Kristiansand. From what I understand it gets dropped at a post office and he has to pick it up. Correct?

Hey all,
So my fiance was put into administrative processing after his interview. The embassy was going to keep his passport but he ended up getting it back because the airline was being a pain, wanting it for him to fly back to Norway. We got all the documents and over nighted the documents and the passport back to the embassy. Somewhere from the courier pickup to the embassy, the delivery company lost his passport. He ordered a new passport and sent it off. we still are not even sure if he has been approved or not After a little detail, I have a couple questions:
1. On the I129F, it says it is valid until 9/12/19, which is in 7 days. Will the embassy contact us to extend that if needed?
2. I was looking at ceac for updates and it went from "immigrant visa application" with a case created date for a date in June. Now it has changed to "nonimmigrant visa application" and the creation date changed. Does anyone know why this is?
3. When everything is approved after AP will the embassy contact us that they are sending the packet?
Thanks all!
Diane
Nevermind we just got the notification that his visa has been issued!!! 😍😍😍😁😁😁😁

I had my K-1 interview on August 22, the embassy only received the medical results on September 1. My visa was issued on September 6 and I had the visa in hand on September 7.
So it took about 5 days from when they received the missing documents until the visa was issued.
The documents are likely not sent anywhere, the processing happens at the embassy.
Thank you so much!

Hey all,
My fiance was put on administrative processing and we turned in the paperwork that they requested today. My question is, how long after it is turned in does it usually take to get an answer? Also, does the paperwork leave the embassy or do they do the administrative processing there?
-
Hey all,
So this might be a dumb question.. But on the last I-797 I recieved from the USCIS it said the I129 F was approved and valid from 5/13/2019 to 9/12/2019. My fiance had his interview but we were put on Administrative Processing for a couple of missing documents. Will this date of 9/12/2019 need to be extended or is it ok since he had his interview? If it does need extended, what do we need to do to get that extended? I know I have a few weeks, but I'd rather get information on it before it's too late.
Thanks!

No the package arrived in the morning and the green card was shipped out the next morning. We were sort of "pre-approved" pending the medical.
All cases very , I hope it goes quickly. Get those documents in asapWe are waiting on one more document then need it translated then will email it to them

Ours was "administrative processing" until the medical forms were received. So @KurtandDiane12 since you have that, I would think they are just waiting for the documents.
@MalachiPDX did it take very long to get the approval once they got all of the paperwork?

https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ For both CR-1 and K-1 I believe you check under immigrant Visa. You use the NVC case number that starts with STK.
Awesome thanks so much. It says administrative processing.
