    Hello VJers!

We had our interview on July 24th at Auckland, NZ. The petitioner (my wife) flew in to attend the interview and spend a couple of weeks here with me before I move. We arrived at the interview on time but we had forgotten to print out the interview letter! (But had all of our other documentation.) They let us in despite not having the letter, but we'd highly recommend printing it out and taking it with you.

We had to wait for about two hours. But when we were called up to the window, it was just two minutes until we had an approval!

Two days after the interview, the documents and passport/visa were couriered back to us. And we have a flight booked for August 4th!

Good luck to those that are waiting or have their interviews coming up! :)

Congrats.:jest:. I hope my husband get visa approved right there same as you.  Interview in 3 days.

    Hey,

I had "AT NVC" too and had a checklist and not a CC. Not saying this is the case for you, but be aware that "AT NVC" does not always mean CC, it just means they have taken some action on your case.

I'm sure you are good, I just wanted to chime in with my experience. Call and confirm.

True, At NVC does not always mean case completed. confirm with NVC or check on ceac.

It had to with divorce.  The embassy is very tough on a Pakistani that has gone through a divorce.  Anyone that has been divorced must be sure all their t's are crossed before the interview as it can be a difficult one.

Thanks Freda. Actually we are newly married no divorced either side.  Alhamdulillah everything is clear n straight forward.. took only 10 months for entire Cr1 process. But still getting upset about the interview which is in 6 days.

Bad time doesn't begin to describe it. My husband was harassed, bullied, intimidated, lied to and about, and all but beaten with a billy club. He ended up writing what I now know is called a "coerced false confession." They literally broke him like a prisoner of war. He now has PTSD because of it. Thank God he is moving to Dubai to work and won't have to be there in Islamabad for a long while. And, no, he didn't move just to get away, it was a good job opportunity. But we did file a formal complaint about that "interview." They MUST stop treating people like criminals..makes me ashamed to be an American. AND they use the Pakistanis to do their dirty work. We will be refiling a CR1 when I return from my tenth visit to see him in July. We will NOT give up, no matter what!

And here's some real irony. My husband has owned a travel/tour business there in Islamabad for years and years. He works quite often on behalf of the local government to promote tourism there. The government folks asked him to meet with some new Embassy people to talk to them and promote tourism in Pakistan. He did, and they were very nice. Of course, they are from a different part of the Embassy. He's lots nicer than me...lol

I'm very sorry to hear your experience. Can I know what was the reason they bullied your husband. since my interview coming up in a few days if you can advice me on that. please

First off thank you for reading my profile.

I am married serious about divorce and considering marriage with a lawyer in pakistan. I know you think he is using me but i have talked to his family.

He needs a tourist Visa but will my spouse find out. I dont want to jeopardize my marriage if he is the wrong choice which i know he is not. My husband is not good to me.

The question is will my spouse know? He will only stay 2 weeks.

    Thank you for your time

first and fore most he is USING you. he probably has kids family everything and just want to get visa. But what you are doing is plainly wrong, your cheating on your husband with someone who JUST want visa. He will never keep you, your just gonna lose your husband and money. STOPPPP giving your self hope as if he loves you... BLAH BLAH BLAH. ALL THAT IS CRAPPPPP.  HE DOES NOT LOVE YOU JUST WANT VISA AND HE IS USING YOU. PERIOD.......... UNDERSTOOD.............

so true Louisa.  However, my status changed to "ready" very next day after iL .  Received interview on July 12, status was "Ready" the next morning.

Hi--Since my husband is supposed to keep/bring the originals to the interview, does the I-130a have to have his original signature for the packet I send? Or can he sign it, keep the original, and send me a copy?

    Thanks!

I-130 or I-130a is not required to bring to the interview.

You have to bring your passport copy along with you and can get it done at Town Hall near Anarkali it's easy there no under table money required

He already received his polio certificate on the same say without paying any penny. Alhamdulillah, medical was done the next day.  Examination results also received on same day..  Thanks for your advise thou

  9. Hi everyone,

Can anyone confirm from their recent experience, if I need to take original ink signed I-864 or just copy of it would be fine for interview at ISL? I have confirmed with nvc & seen news that nvc does not require ink signed AOS. I want to know at Islamabad embassy CO asked for ink singed from anyone?  please share any relevant experience. My interview is in a week insha Allah.

    Question:

Our case was accidentally sent to london, we requested a transfer request to islamabad. It was electronically transferred to islamabad in a day and our case status changed to Ready. We received an email saying that they have our electronic copy. So based on that we moved forward with scheduling medical and interview. Fiance went for interview on july 16, 2018. Went up to the window where they collect documents. He was told since they dont have his hardcopy they can't interview him and will have to reschedule.

So we emailed both london and islamabad ro find out where pur hardcopy is.

Got a response that it was transferred on june 19, 2018. Even NVC says our files are in Islamabad.

    Funny thing happened

    We have two status

First one last updated july 16, 2018 stating LND2018***** 01 ISL Ready

The second one last updated July 18, 2018 stating

    LND2018***** 01LND Transfer in Progress

    What is going on???

Because both embassies have confirmed that electronic file is in islamabad and the hard copy is on its way...

Anyone can help me figure this one out

I was hoping that you already received visa.
