  1. I did apply for citizenship. My interview will be on May 8, 2024. However, it still seems to be slower than other petitioners. I submitted my citizenship petition on 10/5/23. Most would have already had their citizenship certificate in hands by now.

  3. Thank you so much for sharing! Was your I-751 approved without an interview? I have been waiting for my I-751 for 40 months. God knows what the F is going on with my local USCIS office.
  4. 1. I hope that my timeline could be of help for those who are waiting and anxious. 2. Please share your experience if you had a combo interview & attended your oath ceremony at the Sacramento California field office. Thank you in advance! December 19, 2017, married in the U.S.; December 19, 2018, became a conditional U.S. permanent resident; October 29, 2019, divorce filed by my USC husband; June 11, 2020, divorce finalized; December 16, 2020: "We received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence." April 30, 2021: "The fingerprints relating to your Form I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, were taken." September 23, 2021: "We sent a request for additional evidence for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence." November 8, 2021: "We received your response for Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence." November 23, 2021: "Your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was transferred to another office for processing." November 24, 2021: "We transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, to another USCIS office that now has jurisdiction over your case." 5. I did petition my I-751 on divorce waiver, along with abuse and hardship if returned to my home country. Seems the U.S.C.I.S. is so far satisfied with my paperwork after I sent in TWICE dictionary-thick documents. The status has been changed from RFE to “ready to be scheduled for an interview” since December 2021. What could be going on???
  6. I didn’t try to argue with you or anyone else. I even explained that I understood people were just trying to help. I respect your decision not to comment anymore and I appreciate your insights on my I-751. Thank you!
  7. I left on January 3, 2019. I came back on June 9, 2019. Let me reiterate - I nearly died from emotional and psychical injuries sustained by my ex-spouse abuse. I was hospitalized on and off for that long between January 3, 2019 and June 9, 2019. My medical expense was nearly $20,000, which I have still not been compensated yet. 135 days in a living hell. I wasn’t going on a vacation. “A lengthy trip” sounds like I was having fun on that lengthy trip. I am sorry I come off as so negative. I understand you mean well and are trying to help me. Any U.S.C.I.S. officer who assumes I was having fun or on a vacation when I was out of the country between 1/3/19 and 6/9/19 would be heartless and senseless. But I’m not actually concerned about my I-751 pending for so long after I read you guys’ replies. I guess what I need is just an I-751 support group haha.
  8. Thank you for your advice. I actually feel much better by reading these replies from different VJ members.
  9. I’d file N400 under the 5-year rule and I’ll become eligible in September this year. Resident since 12/19/18. International trip: I had to go back to China from Jan 2019 to June 2019 to get medical treatment (not having U.S. medical insurance at the moment and could not afford our-of-pocket treatment in the U.S.) for my injuries sustained due to my ex-spouse abuse. I nearly died. I don’t wish to get into any detail and I hope my wish can be respected. I have been residing in the U.S. since June 2019. Never left.
  10. Hi all, The U.S.C.I.S. received my I-751 on December 16, 2020. In November 2021, my case was transferred to Lee’s Summit, MO to “speed things up.” It is July 23, 2023. I’m still waiting for an interview to be scheduled. LOL. I feel I am never going to get an interview date and my status will be in limbo forever.
  11. Hello. I filed my I-751 on December 16, 2020. I just got an I-551 stamp on my passport. Does it seem like the USCIS is secretly planning to deny my I-751?
