@kendraf I think I remember you saying you got your medical in BC, is that correct? If so, how long did it take them to email you back and confirm an appointment?

I emailed Friday and haven't heard anything yet so just want to know if takes them a bit or not.

    Hi there,

my appointment is in BC as well. Dr. Cheema right? I emailed Friday and got a response right away and ours is scheduled. We gave them preferred travel dates and she responded quickly with a date and time and asked us to email back and confirm if that worked.

Thanks so much @C.A.R.!! A few quick questions:

    (1) When you say "Vertical / Portrait Mode with horizontal words", you're essentially saying that if I have a landscape document, then I scan it such that I can read the words by looking at the screen, but the document is still in regular portrait mode correct?

    (2) When you say don't submit all tax docs in one file -- the links asks for "FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN OR TRANSCRIPT" - so if I don't include all the transcripts, then where to include them? In additional AOS docs? What if they look at the main link and the transcript is not there?

    (3) I filed extension for my 2017 taxes, but have transcripts for the 2016, 2015, 2014. I show the extension form and the amount paid. hope that's enough.

    (4) Any other tips?? Just want to make sure I do this right!

I can only speak from experience so I’ll do the best I can to answer your question. Keep in mind that there’s been a lot on inconsistencies with NVC lately and sometimes it’s best to call and receive clarity as well :)

    1. When they open your document it should be vertical mode and being able to read the words horizontally on the screen. They will not flip or rotate a document to read it. This is what I received a checklist for.

    2. I submitted 2017, 2016, 2015 tax returns in one file and they left a note stating they would not accept all tax documents in one file and yet... they accepted it ( like I said, inconsistent.) Maybe someone else on here can provide you with more clarity on that or call and ask how they would like you to submit them.

I do know that you definitely should submit your W2 and any other financial evidence in separate files in the additional documents section. Make sure they are labeled correctly and leave comments.

    3. That should be enough. I amended my taxes this year (filed status incorrectly the past 3 years) and just showed my proof in the additional docs section and it was all

    approved.

    I hope this helps!

Hello everyone - I really need your help. On the CEAC website I have uploaded all the Affidavit of Support and Financial Evidence documents, including my W2s, tax returns, etc. The status shows "Uploaded", however I am unable to click or view the documents that I uploaded. I am worried that even though it shows up as uploaded, none of my documents will go through if I hit Submit.

The links for the Civil Documents I uploaded are active and fine, but not the Affidavit of Support/I-864/pay stubs documents. Did anyone else experience this? I am hesitant to submit given all the comments above on getting a checklist and having to resubmit and delaying the whole process. FYI I haven't submitted yet.

    Thanks so much!

This is normal. You will be able to view the civil documents but not the other. Triple check to make sure everything is correct. Vertical/portrait mode with words read horizontally. Don’t submit all tax documents in one file. I have seen checklists for this as well. Good luck! :)

My husband called them to ask but they weren't very helpful. All they said as of Tuesday was that Montreal is still scheduling people but they have almost filled all of July's slots. So it seems they schedule at the end of the previous month and continue on into the middle of the current month for the next upcoming month (if that makes sense lol)  but I have no idea if that's typical.

Good to know. I’m praying for an August interview. Hopefully you’ll hear something soon. Thanks for the reply. :)

I'm not 100% sure about the time between paying fees and being able to submit our documents into CEAC as we were a bit delayed because we were on holiday. But it took almost 2.5 weeks for CC after submitting documents to CEAC. Our CC was May 31st and we are still waiting for an interview to be scheduled. Seems like Montreal is pretty busy at the moment.

I’ll be going through Montreal as well. Have you spoken to anyone at NVC in regards to when Montreal schedules interviews? I’m curious.

So I called again ( thanks to your reply!!!) And the person I had on the phone now apologized for his co-worker making a mistake like that and took the marking off which flagged our AOS part to be reviewed again. He said he thinks the person who reviewed the case sent the email out before reviewing the whole document and then probably realized that the information actually is there and then marked it as completed afterwards. He said not to worry. Completed is completed and all that is happening now is them reviewing the police certificate again and the passport picture which he checked for me too to make sure I did it right and then we should be good to go.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience which made me do this phone call. It saved my day!!!

Awesome!! So happy to hear that. One less thing for you to worry about. :)

Well damn I guess I had the wrong person on the phone because she said 'If it states you have to resubmit the taxpapers then I am required to send it to the supervisor to try and see if he will then take the *completed* off and makes you resubmit it'

Which to me basically means...wait another 3-4 weeks for him to reopen the option of resubmitting and then after that wait another 3-4weeks for them to final review it.....-.-

And I even called them like ten times to triple and quadruple check to avoid a checklist. I am probably gonna call again tomorrow and just request talking to a supervisor right away!

How strange. I literally called and spoke to 3 different reps about the note and all 3 told me that once it’s been accepted that there’s nothing more for me to do and to just have the tax documents and w2 ready for the interview.

I would definitely call again. Like I said there’s no rhyme or reason with this whole NVC process. It’s frustrating! Let me know what they say! Only thing I can think is that it’s case by case basis? Still makes zero sense.

    Got a checklist today :(

We submitted May 26th and the checklist included:

-passport picture was wanted in a different orientation than uploaded

-part of the apostille also had an orientation issue so I basically uploaded one page twice with two different orientations now to cover both part on it

And then two points that now caused the case to be sent to a supervisor:

-police certificate supposedly had a part cut off which wasn't the case

-my husband's tax papers were all in one document, however they mentioned it but the AOS part was signed as completed so it didn't actually allow me to change anything anymore.

I am devastated and I really think there will never be an end to that....i feel like the next person reviewing it is gonna want it the way it originally has been sent in....I don't understand how they can not have a clear regulation on how the papers have to be submitted when uploading online. It makes Pivot cases almost more stressfull than non Pivot cause if they have the papers then they have it and if they want it turned around the physicallly turn it.... :(

So sorry. I was devastated  when I received a checklist as well back in May (for passport bio page). They also left a note stating that the couldn’t accept all tax documents in one file yet they accepted it, so I called NVC and she said that it’s been accepted so to disregard the message and just bring all tax documents and W2 to the interview.

There is no rhyme or reason when it comes to NVC. Hang in there. You’ll get though this!

We finally got our cc today. Pivot Germany, submission 1: May 8th, checklist May 24th, resubmission on the same day and case complete today.

However, it was not without shock as we got four messages asking for another round of submitting documents but when we called, the NVC lady asked us to disregard those messages.

And after getting three emails asking for new submissions, the fourth email stated documentarily qualified.

Wow, talk about giving you a heart attack. So happy for you. What a relief! :D

Seems like a lot of people are sad that my case got CC this quick. I shared it with the group, so we all understand that NVC can be unpredictable. I didn't expect anything this fast. Happy to be lucky on this one, but I will hold my future updates, as it apparently upsets a lot of people, all rightfully frustrated about their cases.

No, no. Please keep us updated. Awesome news for you :) and you are right, NVC is extremely unpredictable. I’ve been waiting for a CC since May 30th. There’s always hope!

So i guess this conflict of updates applies to me too? My fees are still "in process" on CEAC but says we have received your fees and to submit DS260 now on the tracker. The bank shows the deduction of funds is processing. When i log into CEAC the start now button (pivot case) for both IV and AOS are still disabled. So that means fees should be accepted and DS260 should open up any time?

Right. The fees on CEAC must show “paid” before you can begin the DS260. I know it super confusing. I had to call NVC and luckily I had a very helpful representative explain it to me.
