Thanks just got your reply. They changing consulate to pivot means we have to upload everything electronically. Normally pivot case take more to assign than non pivot. I am waiting for my case number. Rec date april 25. Good luck

Hello, it took  60 days to get the visa issued after  AP. My mom finally got her passport back. interview given : September 19th, Visa issued: Nov 9th. Sending email to "dhakavisasupport@state.gov"  helps.

Hi everybody!  I got my case shifted to Dhaka embassy as I moved permanently to BD.. I left Dubai on 21 Jan and did get my police certificate along with me but that's only valid for 3 months. Will that be okay for NVC?  We just paid both AOS & IV fee and have to fill d260form then sort docs to be sent to NVC for review 
 
I'm just wondering if I also need to get a PCC from Bangladesh for NVC?  I'm a Bangladeshi citizen and only visited Bd earlier for vacations only.. I will certainly take one for my interview in future but I want to know if it's advisable to get one for NVC too??  Please guide me.

They told me that dhaka has recently been made a "pivot" location... whatever that means.
 
However, they did get the consulate we requested incorrect. We had requested dhaka, but were given abu dhabi. My wife is an expat there, but will be moving to Dhaka in less than a month.

i have spent the last three days talking to NVC!
 
So, our cases were allegedly ‘entered in the electronic system’ on Wednesday.  However in common with other people there is this new NVC system, and it  doesn’t generate the number immediately.  So us all being told that it would be 8 weeks from arrival at NVC was wrong for the new system. They didn’t know this, I was told today.  However I have asked to speak to a supervisor and explained that we have been waiting 8 weeks today since they had received our paperwork from USCIS.  The way it was dealt with on Wednesday has somehow put the arrival date as 5/16 and so to the back of the queue. Our cases have now been escalated and I have now been promised they will be dealt with by a supervisor and we should
have our numbers within a week or two.  However I don’t believe anything and I will be ringing again next week and will be asking to speak to a supervisor again until I have our numbers.

Ok. , they take 10 weeks for assigning case number , wait they will contact you via email

My case was received by NVC on March 16, 2018. I have called them many times , first they said that they hadn't entered info into system. Now an officer says that they have entered info into the system but they are waiting to double check the info then number will be assigned and email will be sent. 
 
Whats that double checking thing and he said there is no set time limit for double checking.
 

Oh okay! I will do that! Thank you!  They think weeks and months are nothing... Especially when you're newly weds, with jobs and responsibilities.. Living in two different countries, with time differences..it is so hard... This group has been so helpful to me!

I recently got my wife CR1 case completed by NVC on 3/24. I called NVC multiple times and each time i get the same generic response: "You case has been completed on 3/24 and is currently waiting be scheduled at Abu Dhabi Embassy. We don't have an estimate when that would be"
I checked some recent similar timelines and it looks like all cases related to Abu Dhabi get scheduled within 2 weeks from the "case completion" date.
So far it has been almost 3 weeks and i haven't heard anything back form NVC regarding the interview date. So far the process has been so frustrating and we have a big family event in May which i don't think my wife would be able to make it.
I was wondering if anyone here is in the same situation? anyone knows what is the current wait time for Abu Dhabi Embassy ? are they loaded with a lot of cases? and is there anything i can do to speed up the process?

Can anyone help me to find out how long will it take to get an interview at US embassy Abu Dhabi. My case was come on December 25, 2017. It’s been more than a month but haven’t heard anything from NVC.

Good lord Atlanta is a black hole isn't it?! In 2013 when I-130s for IR1/CR1 visas were being adjudicated by local offices, Atlanta was the only place not doing a thing.  If your case has been too long don't hesitate to get in contact with the ombudsman and your representatives.  A year without any notification is too long!

I'm not sure I'm meant to take such drastic action given their 'don't bother us until this amount of time has passed' timelines are extremely long. But I can see other people getting interview dates and getting approved so it's alarming.

I'm really worried and I wondered if anyone had any advice.
 
I filed for AOS in December 2016. I had my biometrics appointment early Feb 2017 and submitted some extra info which I can see they received early March 2017. Since then, no updates.
 
I put in an online case inquiry request which said I would have an answer by April 12. I've still got nothing. I just don't know what to do to find out why I can see a bunch of cases in people's timelines getting interviews and I'm not, and why they're not even responding to my request.
 
I'm freaking out because I have plane tickets to go and see my family. I stupidly thought it would be fine. I applied for AP but given current timelines, I don't think I'll get it in time. I just don't know what to do now.

Hello! We are having problems with sending our documents to NVC. We tried sending them with usps but they were lost since January 2018. Later when we learned that we can use online uploading, my husband uploaded documents online. And I received email from NVC that we can send them documents with email. So he emailed them. Later I got a new reply from NVC that we can't email them and we have to mail them. Then my husband mailled the documents with ups this time. It's been 2 weeks and still ceac shows the same page "action required, send below documents etc."
 
How did everyone here send their documents to NVC? Does NVC inform you when they receive? Or how long this part takes? Is there anything you can recommend us to do now?
