  1. Don't listen to the first answer posted. Ours also came with that corner cut off and I was also worried. But this is completely normal and my fiance passed through immigration just fine!
  2. It should show 1) date and nature of employment, 2) salary paid & 3) whether the position is temporary or permanent. Here's the template I gave to my employer when I requested mine! [Company Letterhead] Date: [Date of issuing employment verification letter] To Whom It May Concern: Dear Sir/Madam, This is to certify that Mr./Miss. [First Name] [Last Name] is an employee at [Company Name] and is working as a [Designation] since [Date]. [His/Her] current gross salary is USD [xx,000] ([salary in words]) per annum. If you have any questions regarding Mr./Miss [First Name]'s employment, please contact our office at [Office HR Phone Number]. Sincerely, [Signature of person issuing this letter] [Manager HR] or [Designation]
  3. You should be fine. My fiance had his medical scheduled with Clinica Medica Internacional at 6am and ASC at 12:30pm, but he was out of his medical appointment by 8:30am. The ASC appointment took about 10 minutes. And correct! Clinica Medica asked that everyone return later that same afternoon (at either 1:30pm or 2:30pm-can't remember) to pick up their results.
  4. What others have said is correct. You only need to submit I-129F for K1. And you should be just fine without a lawyer! My fiance got through the K1 process just fine without one, as have many other couples here. This site is a really wonderful resource to ask questions and do research! If you go to your profile and timeline to update everything so that it shows what you're applying for, which country the beneficiary is from, etc (as you've probably seen in some other's profiles), it will definitely make it easier for VisaJourney folks to answer any future questions that you have 🙂 Best of luck!
  5. Updating this to let you know that my fiance received his visa from Juarez today, much faster than we expected. Interview was on April 9th and visa was mailed from Juarez to where he lives in Merida, so it arrived very quickly. I assume it would have arrived even faster had we decided to wait for it in Juarez, so I think you should be fine with the dates you've chosen! Feel free to message me if you have any questions about traveling to/staying in Juarez! I'd be happy to help
  6. I just got back form Juarez for my fiance's appointment, and it seems like it really varies. I met one couple who got their packet just two days after their interview, but met another woman who had been waiting for two weeks to receive hers.
  7. It's been 323 days since we mailed our I-129F and on Tuesday my fiance was APPROVED in Juarez! I'm feeling so thankful for this community-we would have been completely lost in navigating this process without you guys!
  8. Hey folks, I'm doing my research but feeling a little lost here. Yesterday after getting my case and invoice number from the NVC, I filled out the online D-160 and printed out the confirmation. I haven't gotten the "Ready" message from the NVC yet to schedule an interview, so maybe I filled it out too early? Anyway, today I logged in to check the status of our case and this is the message I get instead of "At NVC" as it read yesterday before filling out the D-160. I'm apprehensive because it's asking that I pay for DS-260 rather than the D-160 that I filled out. I tried clicking the link to the CEAC website payment system just to see what would happen, and it won't even give me the option to pay the fees if I wanted to. When I put in my case number the message in the second photo shows up. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to take any action or do I just wait until the CEAC website reads "Ready"? I'm worried it will continue to say "Action Required" unless I do something on my end. I've looked around to see if others have asked the same or similar questions, but have had no luck!
  9. ✋ Mexico here! Still waiting to be able to schedule interview, but this is so comforting to know! I was thinking we might have to wait until late spring/early summer to schedule since Juarez can be so busy. Fingers crossed we're "Ready" to set up an interview soon 🤞
