  1. I never received my NOA 2 approval letter in the mail.   I have been approved since September 12.  My finance has here interview on November 16.  I read you do not need it for the interview  but you will need it for the AOS stage.  Should I contact USCIS to mail it to me again or should I wait to after the interview in my finance has her visa?   I will be moving also on November 16 same city just new house.

Just a little caution in responding to and RFE where they are asking or directing you to complete the "criminal Record". Think back in your history and if you ever had a case dismissed or expunge then you SHOULD make that clear with USCIS. Not long ago a fellow got the same type of RFE and he answered it and set it back not thinking about a case that was expunge in his youth. Failing to expose that point caused USCSI to deny his visa application. He had to return back to his fiancé's country and marry her and then submit a CR-1. From start of the K-1 to her stepping on US Soil will be about 2 years.

No need for a rebuttal. This is just FYI for you and others.

You have been awesome.  Thank you always for your help @Greenbaum

  3. I got an RFE today.  Ir was dated  08-17-18 but I have not been to the mail box all week.    They only need a  letter from my  finance stating she will marry me within 90 days of coming to the united states. I know I sent one the first time but I did not make a copy.  I will send another one.   Also I missed the criminal intent page which is easy I have  already checked no criminal record and signed it and dated it.  This makes me feel good at least I know my case is being worked on and I am almost finished with this step!  01-26-18 Noa1 and RFE 08-17-18.

BTW  website still say case received.  No email or text.  only mail notification.

    Are we doing something wrong?

My fiancee called last Thursday and today to talk to a tier 2 officer and basically we hear that our case was received and that we "should" hear something by the end of this month. But they're not able to tell her if we're gonna get a RFE, if we're still undergoing background checks or if our case looks okay. I say this because it seems like when other people call they're able to get information that's somewhat meaningful while we get nothing.

The same thing.  I have not heard one thing or had any emails from USCIS.  When I call they tell me the same thing that I should hear something by 8-31-18.

  5. 201 Days ( Jan 26 old site) praying that we all get our approvals soon!!   I called today and  the same thing still processing within normal times.  I work for the state government I thought it would be a little faster because the state does background checks. so that should not be a problem.    I have faith that we all will get our approvals really soon.

    WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!

I am not sure how to start, I think I am still in shock. I decided to call USCIS today because i didn't receive the letter I was supposed to get, I spoke with another wonderful lady. I was patient and waited for her to get through her process and verification questions. I told her that i was calling because i didn't receive the explanation letter for why my case could not be expedited, and then i added if she can check the status of my case and let me know if someone is still reviewing it. She said one moment while she checks, she came back on the phone and told me that my case have been approved today and the letter was just sent out, dated 08/08/18. what a special date. i am so in shock, i have not called my fiance yet, i feel like i should just wait for the system to update by tonight or tomorrow to show the approval before i tell her, in case i am dreaming.

I was just so emotional when she said you have been approved, i asked her to make sure please because i must be dreaming, she said she cant lie about something like this. i say God bless you very well and if i could see you right now, i would hug you so much.

i got off the phone and cried by myself for a few minutes, then composed myself and got back to work. it still feels so surreal. i have not told anyone but you guys because we have all been through this tough journey together since January, 7 months. we are family. i promise to remain here with you guys my fiends and help out as i can.

i will put all you my remaining friends in my prayers that you too will receive your blessing of approval, in Jesus name. Amen.

  7. Hello every one.  I am going through the K1 visa process.  I am a January 2018 filer.  My question is my fiance has a minor son and Peru laws states that we must have the fathers signature to leave Peru.  The problem is not with initially leaving Peru to move but it's every time we go visit Peru will he have to have the fathers signature every time we visit Peru and return back to America?
