  1. Good afternoon everyone,

Wanted to thank this amazing community, like many others we started with a K1 visa, fast forward to last week

    LIN Office

    USCIS update:

    03-06-2023 - Case Approved

03-07-2023 - New card is being produced.

    03-14-2023 - I-797 NOA Letter in hand.

Hope everyone here have a wonderful life with their loved ones as this has been quite a journey, from long distance relationships to having to wait then wait some more to gathering evidence, interviews and everything that comes in between.

    Good luck everyone

Question: can we travel on our extension letter I can’t find the answer anywhere

    Hi,

Not sure if this will help but we have traveled both (national and (international ***Just came back into the country 2 weeks ago), all you have to do is have your SO bring the 24month extension letter plus the expired green card. Enjoy

  3. Thank you all for your support and assistance with questions I had during this process, just want to let everybody know our K-1 visa is now approved, we still need to wait for it but waiting two more weeks is not a problem at this point.

What the next step after this, which forum should I now be following?

    Thanks again.

  4. Good morning all,

Just wanted to let members of this topic know my fiance's K-1 visa was approved, process when shockingly smooth bio-metrics was fast 10 minutes and she was out, medical appointment took about 1 - 1 1/2 hours not as long as we were anticipating (no complains here) and final interview took about 2 hrs (20 mins actual interview) for the most part asides from taking a look at our documentation there were only 4 questions asked.

    hi everyone,

so my fiance in mexico just did her ds160. she was able to make an appointment for jan 18 for the consulate interview, finger printing and photos on jan 17, and medical exam on jan 16. our question is is that one of the requirement for the medical exam is is to get a letter from the consulate? can anyone help us out? are we doing this right?

    thanks

Not sure if this is late or not but the letter you are referring to CDJ embassy has to send it to you and your fiance via mail, it takes for ever to arrive for me it took 23 days.

Hi!  Yes as soon as I paid I was able to look at available dates.  The earliest appt was March 5th(this was two days ago) but I chose the following Friday of March 15th.  My fiancee has kids and they need to go to medical 4 business days before the interview date because they will be administered a TB test which take 72 hours to get the results back.

I received the consulate letter a week after I received the email from NVC.

Thank you for your prompt response, I guess I'll wait for our NVC letter to arrive at my fiances house prior to booking an appointment.

Because each Embassy can be different it's hard for anyone to give you the correct answer to your questions.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once I see your profile change, there is a very good possibility I can help you with your question and some that you haven't even asked yet. :D

    Thanks

Thanx never knew that was there.

Made my appt today for March 15. Not as soon as everyone else but at least I have countdown.

    Hi there,

I was hoping you can clarify this question for me, as soon as you did your ds-160  and paid you had the option to look at the embassy's appointment calendar? Did you ever get a letter from them stating your case is with them and you are now able to submit paper work for an appointment?

    Thank you
