I did my biometrics in El Monte on 10/29. End of November it said “interview ready to be scheduled” and December 10th the interview was scheduled.

I don’t remember if it updates right away but some people never even get updates so it’s not the best indicator on if your case is moving along.

awww congratulations, urs was fast ❤️

Hi there, just an update that after 2days of the fingerprint the case status changed to “case is ready to be scheduled an interview”. So I guess that means I passed the background check right?

That is a relief. Thank you all for those who helped on the question.

@issea did they asked you to sign on your second biometrics? because i did my second time today and They did not ask me to sign. im just confused why. thanks

They didn’t do a look up. My fingers were used for nothing.

They took my picture though. And the stamp on the notice says “biometrics processed”!

while searching for what happened to me today I found your post. I did the second biometrics today because they cant read the first one. they took picture and fingerprint today but did not repeat the signature.do you have updates with yours?

  4. anyone who did their biometrics in el monte USCIS here in california?

I did mine for the second time because they cant read the first one. Did yours in the website of uscis updated the same day? Im just worried because it took them a month before they set for a second appointment. I just wanna make sure it takes time. because they did not ask me to sign again today. Im just wndring if they missed it. I ask the girl a lot of time if there is anything else she said everything is good.

Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well.

Soo, today I got the dreaded RFE notification. How long did it take for you guys to receive your letter in the mail?

I'm irritated, but it's kind of a relief to know they are actually working on my case. I have my biometrics Nov 1. So, it took two weeks to get to a new status update. (LOL, this is the only way for me to feel positive about the situation)

Hello, did the system update after you did your biometrics before you receive your RFE update?

I have a theory about why my approvals happened quickly but it's likely not the case. I phoned USCIS and asked them a bunch of questions about how long I'd be allowed out of the country once I have my AP and explained to them that my mum is ill. I didn't ask any questions about expediting the process because I'd already accepted the fact that an expedite wasn't going to happen. I wonder if this phone call pushed things along, I have my doubts but I still wonder. A month after this phone call I got my interview scheduled and then my combo card.

or maybe God did that because you both deserve it and He knew you need it immediately ❤️😊

I would refer to this link for poverty guideline: https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

I would think that your husband need to include his 2 children from first marriage in the household size count. So looking at the website, it looks like your husband needs $32,187 for a family of 4.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you so much, I was just confused if he needs to put them or not because our lawyer did not mention them on athe affidavit of support filed with i29f.

hello again, do you guys know how to know if we are okay with the poverty guideline.

We used lawyer last time for application of visa. in affidavit of support he did not mention any dependent. though my hunsband have 2 kids on his first marriage they are both in joint custody. they are still considered as his dependent right?

and us being 4 in the family how much do my husband needs to earn in a year if we are here in california. I am for adjustment of status. thank you

I asked  that same question last year and researched it. In the legal arena  a stamped signature of a judge is  100% valid same as a hand written one. I was worried  also because  my decree had only a stamped  signature of the judge. It was fine I got no RFE for it. Many people submit a stamped  signature with no problems. As long  as you submitted the ENTIRE decree your fine. I might add the original on file at the court house will always have a signature not stamp.

Thank you for your reply. I had my interview today. I was approved. Thank you to all of you. and to @Greenbaum too
