Idk.. think we got really lucky.. the USCIS screwed up.. they sent us NOA2 on Spetember 5th.. then some odd reason sent us again NOA2 on September 17th.. We didnt know which one meant to call NVC. so just kept calling them 2 to 3 times a day.. On september 24th they said they received from USCIS so i had my girl print up a mrv and goto BPI to pay the visa fees, had her use her passport number in place of the NVC case number, On september 25th the NVC issued us a case number, very simple. when into UStraveldocs.. wa able to schedule appt for october 12th.. everything fell in place.. Got really lucky.. I guess the NVC does not ship cases out everyday anymore, they do it in Bulk on the 2nd nd 18th of every month.. The NVC held on to our case from September 24th to October 2nd in which they sent it to the Embassy. I had my girl fly to Manila October 7, On October 8 to 9 she did the SLEC medical, then on the 10th she did CFO, she rested on the 11th, then october 12th was interview...She passed..
Everything fell in place.. think we got really lucky.. A friend of mine actually is a admin for a FB group he started and he told me all these things that didnt turn out to be true..he said NVC ships everyday..which is not true.. then he said that you must schedule your interview at least 7 days in between the medical or you will get a 221g. So i had all these in my head but still kept the arrangements with my Fiancee..I dont know if it has been luck that everything seems to be falling in place now or if the system is really doing what they are suppose to do.. but either way she will be here soon...

Ok. so after all that.. She flipped out 3 days before the interview.. all scared thinking she wasnt gonna be admitted. I already in past contacted my senator Cortez in Nevada asking for help, in which they helped me get our RFE, and then they helped us get our NOA2 after we sent the response for the RFE. The senators office sent the Embassy of Manila a expedite email asking them to rush the letter of Eligibility. We received the email on October 10th, 1 day after the US Embassy of Manila got the case number from the NVC. Her interview was set already for October 12th. So she was real confident she had everything... NBI, Cenomar, Parent Consent, CFO, I134, pay stubs, 2017 ITR, pictures, Letter of intent from both of us, The DS160 Confirmation with barcode, The appt letter with bar code, Medical from SLEC, Her passport, Passport pictures, chat logs, video logs.. etc you name it we brought what ever can think of..Even the letter of Eligibility.
So her appt was for 6:40am Friday. she said she arrived about 5:00 to 5:10.. She said when the guard and the embassy official scanned her barcodes that they never asked for the letter of eligibility.. In fact they didnt even want it..... All that anxiety.. All the members in her groups chats.. she even said many of them rescheduled their appts.. All was not necessary..
It just goes to prove that there is much gossip in these groups and you can not rely on what she told him, then what him to her..etc.. I am true believer i never agree with 3rd person gossip.. it has to come from the person it happened to.. I hope this post helps someone...
Oh btw, she Got her Visa Approved..YAY...

You guys should contact your state senator and ask them for help

Hello, My fiancee has her interview scheduled for this coming October 12th 2018. We have been told that as of september 11 2018 that the embassy is requiring a letter of Eligibility before they are allowed to enter the building.. I have spoke with many people.. some say they got inside without being asked, only had their appt letter, their passport and screenshot of the NVC case Ready status. But then i spoke with other people.. not any of them first hand, meaning they heard from someone that heard that someone said that they were not given passage without the letter..( i think they call this gossip ). Im just looking for real answers from the people that have experienced interview within the last month in Manila...thx

bummer i thought we were special and for some odd reason we got 2 noa2...and made us special.. how many people can say they got approved twice in the same month for the same thing...hehehehehe...thx

Hi all,
Im a January 16th filer. After 232 we received our NOA2, Notice said September 5th we were approved. Then on September 17 we received another NOA2 saying on September 17h we were approved.
The Approval Valid date is the same on both of them from 09/05/2018-01/04/2019
has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what it means?

Paul Ryan wrote a letter for my Thai gf (at the time) for a tourist visa. She walked into the interview with the letter. Did not make a single bit of difference. Your situation is different and very happy that you got some help on your situation. Congrats.
dude.. was a big difference.. our situation is for the k1 visa.. not at the consul stage yet.. still was in care of the USCIS awaiting approval..and the USCIS appears to be going thru a difficult time right now.. probably due to rules of 2 presidents.. and needing some serious re organizing skills.. what i did was not try to manipulate the system but rather use a senator to help push things thru.. The senators office even told me they had the authority to get the ball rolling..in a figure of speech

Yes.. i am 46 now.. in the program for 27 years.. if you know what that is.. when i was 18 i got convicted of commercial burglary.. its only available on micro film now..so long ago its not on any computer system in the world.. also got convicted of petty theft misdemeanor and Wet Wrecklace Driving. So i disclosed in my I129f that i had my burglary charge. And come to find out the USCIS doesnt have the resources to find out anything about it.. probably because in California the only way to get information is to goto the actual courthouse it happened and get the actual certified copy.. Got my rfe on August 22, My rfe stated that i said in the i129f that i had a criminal record and they wanted certified copies them. So i drove 600 miles on August 23 on my bike.. drove to torrance, got certified copies and mailed them on August 24th, received notification from the post office on august 27th that the USCIS received it and was approved NOA2 on September 5th

well i sent her authorizaton request when we were at 5 month stage.. hoping they can help speed it up... they said they can only help after the 7 month limit reached.. we got noa after 232 days with 1 rfe.. i think if we didnt ask for help we would still be waiting. so yes.,my senators office rocks!!!

So, i feel blessed..i believe the senator in nevada helped me. i am not a man of coinsidence. she called the uscis, they release our rfe that day and sent it to us. We responded to it 2 days later. 1 week after we responded to it we spoke with the senators office again. She called the USCIS and requested the case to be expedited. 2 days later we were approved.
-
ok..i ask cause they got the uscis to mail my rfe. i was even able to get the uscis to fax it to me.. i responded 2 days later.. the senator office asked me to call them back when i got response.. so i called them yesterday and left a message for the lady assigned to our case and she said thy are required to give the uscis 1 week to process the response. and if i didnt hear an answer within that time then to call the senators office on this coming monday and they will request to expedite the case.. i think this is a good thing..yes or no?
-
you mention the senator will nudge the uscis vs request to expedite. if they do request to expedite. how lond does that take to be expedited? also from what i have noticed not many people are successful at getting assistance from senator. So if a senator i talking to me offering to expedite case then i am one of the fortunate ones?

We had the same problem. Rfe ordered on August 1. On August 16th we reached 7 months which was outside processing time and tier 2 kept giving us the run around. So we contacted our state senator. And on the 21st the senator said it was mailed. Because August 1 to August 21 is more than 15 days we were eligible to have rfe faxed. Which we did on 22nd. We had it 2 hours later.
I would get ahold of your state senator. Otherwise u might stay in a limbo stage

Yes lax sucks. I been there many times. As far as picking up my girl. Don't think will have the budget to get her. Already bought some airfare gift cards for her to come. When in a budget have to save anyway can. Getting her will be easy. Park at the parking area across from Tom Bradley terminal. Walk across the street then wait for her to come up. Probably gonna a stay in la a few days. Want to get Disneyland out of the way do was thinking of taking her there. Hoping my rfe gets approved this week. So hoping to fly her out later October or early November. Got family in West la and can stay with them. And u r right. Airfare to manila is very cheap. Last November was only $450 roundtrip

We had very similar. Our rfe was generated on August 1. Tier 2 on many calls couldnt gice us a clear answer. One said it was on way, another said it was still their, another said it was waiting super approval another said they didnt know y it was still there. One even told me after 16 days u can request to have it faxed. I called my senator and 5 days later my senator called me saying they mailed it out. I called next day and asked USCIS to fax the rfe. 2 hours later I had it

We had no status update on our case.. The USCIS told us and the senator that there was a rfe pending but was not officially issued. we were beyond the normal processing time and the Senates office said they were gonna request a expedite.. i dont believe n coincidence. The senates office called me on August 22nd saying it was sent ... i called the uscis and they said that the senators office requested the case to be expedited.. and boom it was sent...and the USCIS even faxed it to me.. that is to coincidental.
-
our case was very similar. but we were told at day 206 when called the USCIS that they issued a rfe. and then we called 8 ore times and each time the officer said something different.. it was in a limbo stage and wasnt moving. thats when we asked the senator for help and when the 7 month processing time was exceeded is when they requested to expedite it.this wait does suck. my fiancee is in philippines i am in las vegas.. its not easy to go see her..very costly.. and now its been over 8 months since seen her last.
-
ok, we got the rfe on thursday.. they requested my criminal record from 29 years ago.. i drove to los angeles to get certified copy.. then sent it out saturday.. the tracking says its at the post office box awaiting to be picked up.. so im hope the senator expedite i got will make them read it faster and approve us...

Hi all,
Looking for feedback form anyone that has had assistance from their state senator.. i ask cause we are day 221 now...Since August 1st we have called the USCIS about 7 or 8 times.. Every time tier 2 told us we had an RFE. But it hadnt been sent out.. And there was no update on any of thier websites. So contacted our state senator on day 206..and they said they ca only help if the time exceeds normal processing time. So called them back on day 211 and they told us if we didnt receive anything by august 22nd they were gonna put a congressional exepdite request in. Got a cal from the senator on august 22nd and they said that they spoke with USCIS and they said the rfe was mailed out.. I decided to call the USCIS one more time.. and request them to fax us the RFE ( their policy is if rfe is issued, anytime after 16 days without receiving then can request it to be faxed ) ..They faxed the rfe 2 hours later.. and also told us the Senators office requested the case to be expedited...I dont believe in coincidence. so the USCIS didnt just decide to send it.. they were forced to..
My question is if the case is expedited does this also mean when they receive our rfe back that it will be expedited and taken care of immediately, yes or no..and if yes does the expedite also go onto the nvc stage...

The senators helped us. We actually co contacted them 2 months ago. I guess being an 80's child and paranoid helped cause USCIS was in limbo with us and our senator helped

Just want to share our experience so far. We are k1 January 16th filers. I called USCIS August 1st and was told that we had to wait until 7 months before we can inquire. So called them back August 16th. They said they ordered a rfe but it was not ready to be mailed. Mind you our status hasn't been updated on the website. Luckily we contacted our state senator 1 month prior. So I called the Senators office after talking to tier2. The senators office says they called USCIS and told them on the on August 17 that they had 1 week to comply or they were gonna request expedite on the case. Mind you I called the USCIS everyday and chatted with tier 2 every day for 6 days and each agent gave me a different answer. One said it was sent, another said it was ordered, another said they didn't know, another said it was waiting for supervisor approval. august 21st got a call from the senators office and they said the called USCIS and put request to expedite. They also said USCIS said they were send out rfe on that day. I called USCIS next day to confirm and tier 2 was not taking any more calls for day. So I called back on August 22nd and finally after waiting 222 minutes someone from tier 2 called back. I requested them to fax me the rfe and they did. Turns out they needed xertifed copies of my criminal records that happened 29 years ago. The options were clear. Either I send for them and wait 6 weeks or I drive to Los Angeles 5 hours each way. And get them right then. I drove. I sent out the rfe on August 24. Hoping the senator expedite still is in affect and will hear answer soon. Now we are on day 220 with still no update on website. And if our state senator didn't help we would still be waiting for anything from the USCIS

K1- The Dreaded Social Security Number
in Social Security Numbers
Posted
The issue is you went to social
security office to quick. It takes the uscis 14 days to process the paperwork from time of US entry. Therefore you need to wait at least 14 days before you apply for a ssn. We actually had the same issue and got sent a letter saying my fiancé was not in the system and we should call this number. Instead of calling the number we went to the office and re applied and a week later the card arrived
