  1. This is such a sad post. I don't believe there are words to describe how awful this situation must truly be. I agree with Rebeccajo in that there has to be an explanation for why he was totally banned. I've often wondered what I would do if my husband was denied entry for some reason, I know what I say I would do, but if the time should ever come does any of us know what we would really do?

  2. OOps I did it again, I posted by accident...I think I still get to use the excuse that I am a newbie and don't know what I am doing  Anyway, for all those who are interested I went back online to look at the department of state visa section where I found the information on the vaccinations. Please see the below information:

    Vaccination Requirements

In general, applicants for immigrant visas are required to have all of the following vaccinations:

    Mumps

    Measles

    Rubella

    Polio

    Tetanus and diptheria toxoids

    Pertussis

    Influenza type B

    Hepatitis B

    Varicella

    Pneumococcal

Bring your vaccination records to the immigrant visa medical examination, if you have them. The panel physician decides which vaccinations you will need, appropriate to your age, medical condition and medical history.

Sounds to me like you can get the shots in advance and take them to the medical exam but if you want to wait also you can do that. But it still doesn't address the question as to whether waiting until the medical exam will put you behind schedule if you have to have a shot that requires you to wait in between the next shot. I sent this to my husband and I am hoping that he will get the shots right now and not wait! MEN!!!!!! Gotta love him though :luv:

  3. Hi all,

I thought I had this clear in my mind but now I am confused  I told my husband that he should get his vaccinations now while he is waiting for his package from the consulate to arrive, (we are in the very early stages of applying for his visa, I am waiting for the fee bill to arrive for the AOS). He told me he checked with the physician who will be doing the medical for his visa and he told him to wait until he receive his packet from the consulate and once he receives the packet bring it to them and they will tell him what vaccinations he will need.

Now, going off of my experience and also in talking to friends who have brought their spouse or family members over to the US, they all told me to have him do it now since there may be shots that require a series of injections. I know when I went to Africa I had received a vaccination that was a series of shots that I had to wait a certain amount of time between shots. I am thinking if he puts this off until he gets word from the medical staff who give the medical exam then it will add time on to our wait. I went on I believe the state gov website where it lists all of the shots to be taken and I sent him the list. Are there any other people out there who know the answer to this problem? I would think you can get the shots while you wait and then when the time comes for your medical exam then present the proof to them and they will look it over and say your shots are in order and give you the medical exam.

    Please help!!!!!

  5. Sorry about the earlier post, as you can see I am the newbie and I am still getting the hang of posting  Anyway, a big CONGRATS to you on the interview. I will be happy to hear about how the interview went since my husband will have his interview at the embassy in Saudi Arabia. We are doing the I130 and I am awaiting our paperwork for the fee bill for the AOS (NVC says it is on the way)! In the meantime any information I can get about the interview process will be a great help. Also, it's nice to see that you did not have to wait forever for the interview. All the best and insha'Allah the interview will go fine! :D

  6. Hi all. Can someone please tell me how to create my timeline in my email? I didn't think I was computer illiterate until I started posting today  Well, at least I know how to work the emoticons.

    Thanks!

  7. :help: Hello all, I am just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with copying Jame's shortcut barcode onto the AOS fee bill. Try as I might I can not get the barcode to copy from the page to the fee bill. I have tried this on several different computers and have had the same results...no barcode. I've given up and will await the fee bill to arrive I suppose unless someone has a solution for me.

By the way does anyone have any idea how long it will take for me to receive the AOS fee bill from the NVC? The automatic voice reponse said the NVC mailed the fee bill on December 4, 2006.

    Thanks for your help
