Well what I meant was go to the Philippines sub forum and then ask your question there.
The other option is to just ask the question on the general forum and indicate it is for the Philippines.

The reason I suggest that is these monthly forums are for everybody, and we're all trying to help each other but the reality is, when you want something specific like you're asking, it's more likely someone here will give you inaccurate information, not because they mean harm but simply because our experiences will not line up.

If you can't find the Philippines sub-forum, just go ask your question in an older thread like June/July. Because the people there surely has gone through their medicals. I don't think many in August have reached that stage yet.
    Hope that helps!

Okay .... I will try that

    thank you so much :)

have a great rest of your weekend !!

My fiance just finished it today (she passed).  The first day they did everything except vaccines.  They told her to come back the next day at 2pm.  She got the vaccines, waited for results, and didn't wrap up until after 6pm, but she did get the positive result that day.  So one full day, then 4 hours the next day, late afternoon.

Side note, we jumped the gun a bit, booked a hotel in Manila prior to getting the NVC case number.  I just got the case number Friday US time, she paid the visa fee Monday, booked the interview appointment that night, Tuesday pulled it all together and took the bus to Manila as the hotel was for Tuesday and Wednesday night.  We hadn't received anything from the NVC or anyone yet, so the only proof of the MNL case number was an email I sent her with the number.  Of course she used it to book the interview and had the interview confirmation letter with her.  Without having the NVC or USEM letter they almost didn't let her in.  She had to push a bit to get it done.  Ultimately they used the email I sent to her with the MNL case number as "proof" that she was eligible for the medical.  Strange but true.

We're glad it's behind us.  I know I jumped the gun scheduling it the hotel, which pushed the medical to specific dates, a bit early.  I was ready to write off the pre-paid reservation, but recognize that would totally have been on me, not St Lukes, USEM the NVC or anyone else.  Just lucky it worked out.  Oh, I did receive an email from the NVC which would have been nice to have.. it arrived my morning US time, her night between the 2 days.  A little more waiting on my part (1 day) would have resulted in less stress for Grace...

Maybe you can help me with this??  It seems you def have the process down... lol

    We got our NOA2 !!

    Aug 11 NOA1

     March 22 NOA2

Needless to say, I have a fiance that is extremely excited that things are finally moving forward and went strait to FB posting about it to everyone. But without delay, there's always one person that has to pour cold water on anything good...

Someone decided to poke a little fun and told her that she had to get completely undress for the physical.... and that your not given a gown to put on!!  Then said the Dr. was going to be (poking around down there)... Gotta love the crab mentality of some people...

Anyway, I can't see that being the case at all, but she a Filipina and is very Conservative so its not been fun... for either of us...

If anyone can help me out with info on this it would make my weekend a lot easier ......

Are they asked to get completely undress for the physical??

If so, can anyone tell me exactly what they are going to be doing??

Are they given a gown to put on??

Can she ask for a Female Dr??

Sometimes I really think this whole process can be a little dehumanizing  to us all....

Yes, I know I was right, and do have actual knowledge of the Philippines.

However that is an answer to what was said and not on people's personal situations of how they will handle their case. There are a lot of people who does these beforehand.

i already said you were right... your more then right, your awesome!! ..... thank you so much for gracing all of us with your presence and awesomeness!!  i feel so lucky :) !!

Yup and that’s what my fiancee will be doing once she received her visa.

Yep... Definitely understand... travel is no joke in the Philippines

It's a 9 hr bus ride for me to go a whole 250 miles and I get that joy every time Mt Mayon blows off and I can't fly .....

I was trying highlight it for the people who (know everything..about every country)  even though they don't even have there own visa yet.... someone is going to have a rude awakening when they get to the US...

  7. Has anyone gone though this CFO thing for k visa yet??... I'm seeing conflicting info and can't find a # to call and ask what documents she will need from me... I've seen places that say she will need nothing from me because the US is a visa required country and others say she will need all kinds of my info...

I believe for K1 it can be done, but they won't stamp at that moment, beneficiary will need to go and get it stamped after receiving the visa.

You are right... and great at regurgitating information... but anyone that has any actual knowledge of the Philippines... knows it's a big thing to go from Davao to Cebu and back... (definitely two day proposition)...

  9. Not sure if this is something new or not but wanted to share

Received a RFE today in the mail....   8/11 file date letter mailed 3/1 .... very relived there is nothing big at all needed :)

Long from Birth Certificate (thankfully I have another org in my desk) and copies of divorce papers (even though they were both in the packet)

No a big deal and nothing new

but this I've never noticed anyone mention before

Two passport size photos (one of me and one of her with our names and (A-number??) on the back

They are requesting her (intent to marry) from me and her divorce papers.

So, dose anyone know what (A-number) they are referring to ??

also, since she has never been married before, do i need to include her certificate of no marriage??  we haven't applied for it yet or i would just send it in. But its 2 weeks to get one.

still no change on the website .... Still reads ( case received )

    ???

I am not American. I didn't say it is bad. It is just they are sending of a lot of their citizens more than most other countries, and they want their safety.

These seminars give them info info on how to live abroad, how to deal with domestic violence etc.in k1 only the 15% is from Philippines, they are just trying to help them..

    I don't understand your problem.

Even if it was not for their safety it is their rule and that's it. Believe me there are ridiculous laws in US too...

    Are you crazy???

If you have a problem don't go around subtly, say it to my face.

If your going to be an American.... educate yourself about freedom...

For those that find human right important,  please contact me....

We will not be doing this class... it's in violation of this conversation of the Philippines and international human rights...

Freedom of movement, mobility rights, or the right to travel is a human rights concept encompassing the right of individuals to travel from place to place within the territory of a country,[1] and to leave the country and return to it. The right includes not only visiting places, but changing the place where the individual resides or works.[1][2]

Such a right is provided in the constitutions of numerous states, and in documents reflecting norms of international law. For example, Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights asserts that:

    • a citizen of a state in which that citizen is present has the liberty to travel, reside in, and/or work in any part of the state where one pleases within the limits of respect for the liberty and rights of others,[3]
    • and that a citizen also has the right to leave any country, including his or her own, and to return to his or her country at any time.[4]

Some people and organizations advocate an extension of the freedom of movement to include a freedom of movement – or migration – between the countries as well as within the countries. This include Libertarian Party of the United States, the International Society for Individual Liberty, and economist Bryan Caplan.[5][6]

I just called, spoke with the nastiest tier 1 agent ever. They must be contractors and hate their job. They must get rated on how many people they get off the phone without a transfer and hurts their bonus or something. I cannot fathom why they want to be so mean. Anyways, Fingers Crossed we have better news from last Monday when tier 2 calls back. I was holding back on calling but I'm just so frustrated with this whole thing. All our potential dates are now scrapped and this wait has just been so ridiculous. so down at the moment. If they would just update the tickets and show people actual data with the progress it would keep people at bay!

That.... would require an honest government and work force... I'm not holding my breath....
