  1. +1 to all what has been said. You are a permanent resident. I know atleast 3 people who are green card holders but live abroad for close to 10months , one had a job in Qatar the other just went home to take care of business.
  2. Lmao. It was my friend. Trust me, during desperate times, anything can happen. Scammers use these opportunities to hit their victims hard.
  3. Yes juts give it time. It take few days or weeks sometime a month for the system to update. I recall applying for a credit card within 2weeks of getting my SSN, I got the same "unable to verify"".
  4. This is a scam. Unfortunately, innocent people are the victim. My friend was layoff during Covid-19, someone with a valid Linkin account offer him a job, went through interview, everything look legit. He used someone as the HR director, after doing a search, we found everything to be okay. They issue her a check to deposit and buy a Table and chair to work from home. 3 days after , they reached out saying that they would rather ship him the chair and table so he should refund them the money via Zelle. After the Zelle number looks legit and aligns with the company name. After sending the money, the bank sent an alert that the account is slow because the check that was deposited was invalid. We engaged the bank and the police but to no avail. So just be extra careful. Excuse typo
  5. My cousin filed for her mum 62 days after her arrival. She got approved. Based on what you said there was no intent for your mum to stay, you made that decision after her arrival.
  6. Most of the N400 online applications are routed to NBC, after doing the review, they forward your case to your field office. If you have pending ROC then it will be a Combo interview, your spouse has to attend with you. Once the ROC is approved then they will do the civil test for the N400. The processing time you should watching for is your field office
  7. Your friend was able to convince USCIS that the marriage was real that's why they issued him a green card and subsequently got citizenship. The whole process took atleast 4 years I guess Unless hell freezes, I don't see anyway his citizenship can be affected. But would recommend seeking the services of the divorce attorney and fight for a divorce.
  8. No need to file I-90. During my oath a lady had the same issue, they requested that we surrender all our green cards expired or valid before the judge comes in. A lady in front me said she lost her green card, the officer took the oath form and wrote something and said once they update the citizenship status in their system, it will override the green card and make it null or void.
  9. The vegas office is scheduling oath between 2-3 week after your interview. Just did mine a month ago. You can go ahead and do the N400 test. Once the oath letter is sent you can call USCIS to reschedule. Just monitor your online account, they will upload the letter there. Just a heads up, all the Las Vegas USPS offices processing passport are fully booked until Jan 2022, only the USPS office in henderson always walk ins
  10. Not sure why USCIS is not stating it in their letters, but if you have a pending ROC, you and your spouse should all attend , the officer will first do the I-751 interview, once you pass , some officers will ask the other spouse to leave some will allow him or her to witness while he conduct the N400 interview. Just to be clear, if you have a pending ROC, your spouse is expected to attend. Good luck
  11. My Son 12yr lives with me in the US with his green card, I got my citizenship last month. Legally he is also a citizen. I plan to apply for passports for both of us, my question is should I include his green card in the passport application package or just a copy? . Please note, I have already applied for his N600
