Interview done and the long journey is over !! Can some pros in the group, pls mark me in red?

Interview was yesterday and was just about 15 minutes.  The IO was well prepared with my case, and perhaps was happy with the documents that I had uploaded.  Did not have to pull out even a single  paper out of my bag.  He asked me questions from my N-400 and made sure, that the answers I gave, matched with what was there.  The civics questions were :
Freedom of religion, ocean on the east coast, one state bordering Canada, age of selective service, year of constitution, I don't remember the 6th one.

On the next day to my oath, I printed the duly filled in form, visited the nearest USPS (Walk-in), submitted the form + original naturalization certificate + 1 black and white copy of the certificate + 1 driver's licence copy + 1 color photograph, paid the fees party by CC and partly by personal check.  Showed my original licence for verification to the usps clerk.  They say, it will take 4-6 weeks to receive the pp.  I applied just last week.

Yes, you can use the form they gave at the oath ceremony.  My guess is, the USPS clerk will have to key in the data, if you take the hand filled form.    We went through the process of filling up the form online ourselves.  We spent just about 15 minutes at USPS, to finish up with 3 applications of my family.

I have my interview scheduled for the 27th Sept.  My question is about same day oath ceremony.  My interview is at 8.30am and I read that, they don't let food inside and was wondering, if there is only one oath per day and that would be in the evening or there are multiple oath sessions every day.

    MY NATURALIZATION INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
    Hello everyone!
I have a good news! I am passed and approved my application for Naturalization today. My experience is this. My husband and I arrived at USCIS at 11: 30 AM. Gone for security check up and one of the officer told me to go to window no.1. I hand him my appointment letter then told me that an officer will come to call my name at 12:20 or 12:30 because my appointment is at 12:20pm. There were at least 10 people also waiting for their name to be called and more are coming. There's a couple who arrived after few minutes and we both surprised why we weren't called though we've been waiting longer than those who just arrived and they were called immediately 🙄. Finally she was called and wish me success. It's 1:10 when finally my name was called.
    IO: How are you?
Me: I'm fine thank you. How are you?
IO: I'm good, thanks for asking. Are you nervous?
    Me: Oh yes
IO:Oh don't be nervous. I assure you you will not fail. Put your tote on the chair. Do you promise to tell the truth and nothing but the truth
    Me: I do
IO: Let's do the test first read this sentence.
Me: How many states do we have in the United States?
IO: You write : We have fifty states.
He checked the paper where I wrote it.
IO: Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
    Me:Thomas Jefferson.
IO:Name one state that borders Mexico?
    Me:California
IO:Who is the commander in chief of the military?
    Me: The President
IO:What is the political party of the President now?
    Me: Republican Party.:
    IO:There were 13 original colonies. Name 3
Me: Of course our very own South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia.
IO:What are the 2 major political parties in the United States?
    Me: Democratic and Republican Parties
After the civic he asked the NO NO NO NO No and the YES YES YES.
IO: What is the name of your husband?
    ME: His name is____,
IO: I mean your first husband
    ME: His name is______
IO: Your current husband' name? Where did you meet?
Me:His name is_____. We met online Christian Dating for free.
IO: Your height is 5'2, eyes black, hair gray? No your hair is brown.
    Me: My hair is gray
    IO:Your hair is brown
Me:My hair is gray. I am old look I have gray hair.
    IO:No it's not  gray it's brown.
Me: I dyed it that's why it is brown but I have lots of gray hair.
IO:No it's not gray, let me put brown
Me:Ah okay better put black because I am Asian and my natural hair color is black
    IO:Okay it is black
    Me: 😄
After few more questions he let me read the pad and signed it. He told me that he will recommend my approval and congratulate me. He told me to wait until my name is called to get the instruction regarding the oath taking. He walked me back to the door and wish me good day I wish him the same. The IO is a nice person. He will help you to feel comfortable during the interview and civic test. I wait just couple of minutes and another officer hand me a paper regarding the oath taking. Oath taking will be on SEPTEMBER 20 at 8 AM.
By the way I brought with me 1and half inch thick of supporting documents just in case he will ask for more evidence pertaining of my marriage to USC. I applied under 3 year rule but today I am 5 years and 8 days LPR. None of my documents were asked. He only looked at my green card. I remind him of the passport photos if I need to give it to him. He said "no we're good, I have everything here."
I have a wonderful experience and I wish everyone will have the same.

Good evening,  I had my joint ROC and N-400 interview today. I passed the N-400 test. The IO didn't interview my wife and called me for the interview. We were expecting they will interview both of us together since we have a pending I-751. The IO only interviewed me and my wife was waiting outside. I reminded the officer a few times that I have also a pending I-751 so my wife is with me. The IO didn't care so I realized they are only interested in me but the officer was aware of the whole situation. The first part was the civics test and then the IO moved to the ROC part of the interview. I was asked how met?  my job and my school. The IO also asked me questions regarding my wife's job and what things we do for fun. I also brought ongoing evidence of our relationship and they officer took most of them. I recommend it to everyone to bring a more ongoing relationship paperwork to the interview if you have filed for N-400 with a pending I-751. Thanks for everyone's support and reading my post. I am praying for everyone and myself for a smooth rest of the immigration journey. Since I have a pending ROC so they will approve it first before they approve my N-400. It is another waiting game now o Boy!

    Hi
was just trying to say something positive to this glitch this morning. None of my words are 100% serious all the time sorry if I made you confused or worried.

if everything looks normal as usual on your account, that’s more than great.  Life_love called the 1800 number this morning and the officer told him/her that you could ignore it.  So it’s just a glitch.  I guess there’s nothing you should worry about especially if your account looks just as usual. Hope you feel good

    Hi Castetoy,
I had my appointment yesterday (Mar 16, 2015) and let me share the experience with you:
My appointment time was at 1.00pm.
I had done all the research prior. Parking, food etc., (there is a dunkin donut and subway nearby) (no food allowed inside)
I reached the location @ 11.48 am. There is a parking facility just opposite to the building (on court st- Central Parking system) you can't miss that. This is the best parking place as it is right across the (street) building. The fee is $12.00 for 10 hrs. It is defintely worth it as there is always a staff in the cabin (since the area appears to be rough!)
At 12.01, I parked the car. (Since there are lot of "one ways", it took time for me to go around and enter the parking street.
At 12.15 pm entered the building. finished the security check. You have to put almost everything in the security check box: watch, belt, shoes, bag, phone etc., Those guys were good. Then go straight and make a righth turn where you will find elevator. Take the elevator and go to Floor 15 (At least that's what was mentioned in my appointment letter) You go to respective floor as mentioned in your letter.
At 12.21pm- entered floor 15: Show the appointment letter and photo id (pref. driver's license/ PR Card) to the security. (The security was big fat guy who was rude! may be a racist I guess!?) Just showed the docs and they let me in. Went to Window 1- showed the appointment letter. The guy took the letter and asked me to be seated until my name was called.
1.05 pm- They called in my name and there are 2 doors: door 1 & 2: as they call your name, they will tell you to come to which door and you have to go and wait near the door and DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE DOOR by yourself. The officer from the other side will open the door and will take you in to his / her cabin. Mine was Mr. Fredrick Parsons. He was such a cool officer singing songs and he made me feel totally relax and comfortable (I was a bit nervous till then!)
You take oath raising your right hand and immediately, he took me to the test round. 1st- verbal; 2- written; 3- Questions about History and Government. Answered all the 6 Questions correctly and he got my signature in the answer sheet. And, he verified the info which was given in the application: like... the name, address, number of trips made, married/single etc., Finally, he asked me to fill out a set of 5-6 questions (Yes/No type) and got my signature.
At 1.27 pm- all formalities over, the officer led me till the door out. He said, I passed the test and proved my eligibility for naturalization and my application has been approved for decision. Once the decision is made, they will set me up for oath, he said.
I waited for more than 2 hours and still, no one called out my name and I could see, people who went after me for the interview were called in and were given the certificate envelopes and asked to go to the oath ceremony hall. At this point, I was very tensed and not sure what was going on.
Finally, only with few people left, they called out my name. Again, there was a confusion with my name change which took another half hour to clarify and FINALLY, they got my certificate copy, they asked me to review it for any corrections and gave me the envelope and asked me to go to the oath ceremony hall (which is go straight out and make a left and the hall is on the corner) They do oath cermony 3 times a day. 4.00pm was the last session. Finally, 18 countries people took naturalization total of 39 members including me.
What happens during the oath ceremony?? I am not going to share that with you. But, that is such an exciting moment and I will leave that with you to have surprises and enjoy as it comes. After the ceremony, they allow you to take photographs (but not video) so, you can take as many pictures as you want!!! The rest of the day is all yours to enjoy......
Hope this helps you and makes you feel better. This facility is the best I would say. They were very nice, understanding, quick, they feel happy for us as well and unlike other facilities, they give everything on the same day! Only thing is it will be a very long day! Be prepared for that. But, its all worth it. When you can wait years... why not few more hours!?
    Tips:
As you finish the security check, there is a restroom, if you want you can use right there and go straight up to your respective floor
If you are going to Floor 15, they have restroom there too!
Take water bottle and some granola bars with you. They are of big source of energy on this big-long-day!
Whoever is assigned to go to Newark facility, they are very lucky! in terms, good people, good service, quick service!!
A FIVE STARS TO NEWARK OFFICE!!!!!! TOTALLY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your time in reading my experience!
