Newark Office Interview & Oath same day?

I have my interview next week at Newark for naturalization and wanted to know if I'll have the oath on the same day. My interview is at 8:30am going to plan getting there at 8am and by the time we go through security etc we should be there before time.

I'm expecting a long wait from reading one review (not on this forum) where the interview was 50 minutes later.

I'm getting a bit nervous so looking forward to your replies

Thanks🌼

Not from New York but no, interview and oath ceremony will not take place at the same day, normally it will be 4-6 apart (so they can do your request for name change if applicable and print/prepare your certificate).

The Newark office is in New Jersey not NY, as for same day oaths this office & the one in Mount Laurel NJ both do same day oaths.

Hi just had my interview in Newark last week. i waited for three hours that is so long...

Wow that's not bad at all. I was expecting it to be longer than this!! Did you also have the oath ceremony?

My appointment is at 8:30am but I am expecting to wait so I'm going to eat a big breakfast before going because I heard you are not allowed to bring food into the building.

Is that true?

Congrats Glad it went well!!

So all went well. Be prepared for a long day. My appointment was at 8:30am and the actual interview took place at 10:40am. Oath is on the same day for Newark Office - ceremony three times a day at around 11:00am, 2pm & 4pm

I will write a longer review later 😊

I'm now a citizen yay!

You are a little ahead of me.  Mine is on Thursday.  Wish you luck and I am sure you will do well and will be done with this journey, pretty soon !!

You will do well the interview is about 15 minutes nothing to worry about. The questions are easy just make sure you know who the governor of your state is and representative.

Wishing you the best!

You were right.  The interview was just about 15 minutes, but the wait was too long, both before and after the interview.  The journey is finally over !!  Thanks for sharing your experience.
