Welcome. I'm sorry I thought it was She and is He, sorry for that mistake. It's contradictory this: "Our visa approval is valid until October 20th". If he will have his interview for the visa, how is his visa will expire? I don't understand. About  his criminal record the webpage it's under "maintenance"  about 2 weeks so we can't ask for it but just the webpage be operative again he must ask for them. If you estimate the interview could be in Octuber he has time I estimate the be around that month as well. So, take it easy and he must keep be looking for the documents he needs....XOXO

It's ok, no problem. What I meant for the visa approval is the K1 application approval (NOA2). We haven't scheduled the interview yet. I am waiting for him to receive his passport extension. Can I exchange his Whatsapp number with you through the private message on the website? Since both of you are in Venezuela, so it's better to have someone in the same situation to discuss and help each other.

Did both of you attend the interview in Venezuela? I was thinking of obtaining a Venezuelan visa to go with her to the interview, or at least to visit and have more evidence that are relationship is in fact, legitimate,  but things are deteriorating x 1000 every single day there. I heard even walking through the Maiquetia airport is a risk.

We haven't scheduled the interview yet. My fiance is still waiting for his passport extension to be issued. We don't know how long we have to wait. it seems everything in Venezuela is unpredictable!

I tried applying tourist visa from Venezuelan consulate. They rejected my visa application without giving reason. We had to meet at third countries. We are planing to meet again in Colombia before his interview. Yes, I think the more you meet in person, the more convincing that your relationship is true.

I just found the Assembling the I-129F Package: Checklist, so that answers part of my questions, can anyone help me with the others?

About language and communication, I and my fiance are very similar to your situation. We got our K-1 approval last month. It took a little longer than usual (got REF for statement intend to marry within 90 days from my fiance) , but we do not have any problems. I guess it will be more of a concern in the consulate interview process.

Hi. She shouldn't has any issue with that. I'm venezuelan so I know is too hard to get a new passport but your fiance can ask something called "prórroga", extension her current passport for 2 years like you said. That is completely legal and every country is accepting that.  On other hand, she must to get a new passport here in Venezuela anyway because she wil need that for make the other paperworks once she got married in USA and if in Venezula is hard to get a new passport in the embassies of Venezuela in the world is harder. Success!

Thank you very much for the information. He already applied the passport extension and is still waiting for the passport extension to be printed out.  It seems taking forever. Do you know how long will it take to get the police certificate in Venezuela? My fiance lives in Acarigua, Portuguesa. It is eight hours away by bus to Caracas. He has to take the medical exam in Caracas as well. Our visa approval is valid until October 20th. Consider the current situation in Venezuela, I am afraid that we do not have enough time to prepare those documents for the interview :(.

  5. My fiance's Venezuelan passport will be expired in September. The government will not issue him new visa, instead they issued him a two year passport extension document. I am very frustrated. His interview will come soon. Is it fine using the almost expired passport with the extension document for the consulate interview? Is someone here have the same situation? Please share your experience and help!

Has anyone from the US applied for a Visa to go to Venezuela at the embassy/consulate in NYC? I am very confused about what I actually need and no one ever answers the phone there.

I did. But the the Venezuela consulate in New Orleans rejected my visa application without any explanations. That's sucks. We have to met each other in third countries.

    Hi

Well according to the US embassy in Ccs page the price is 165.000 bolivares, but my fiance just called one of the embassy doctor and the secretary said that prices are out of date.

The current price is 8 millions plus vaccinations and takes 3 to 4 weeks to get the test results.

Thanks for the information. How much is it to convert 8 millions bolivares into US dollars? The currency exchange rate is very confusion from Venezuela.
