My fiance was told that it is recommended that i be there for his interview although not necessary, I am so worried this will hurt his application.
I don't have the money to travel back and forth. I live in New York.
Is it really necessary for me to be there?

So I've been getting all my updates by calling everyone every couple of days.. We finally have our interview date and everything is running on schedule. The NVC and the Consulate of the Dominican Republic is actually very good with emailing instructions. Don't go by the USCIS phone app it is terrible and it is not updated the way it should be. If I went by that I would be terribly behind on all my progress. As it turned out our I-129F was approved March 7th and the app says it is still being processed. Call and inquire if you feel like its taking too long for your applications and progression of your petitions.
USCIS customer service -800-375-5283- Always ask for a Tier 2
NVC(National Visa Center) 603-334-0700
Just a friendly FYI for everyone out there who needed the info. Good Luck all!!!

I gave you guys the abridged version. She mentioned all those things and gave the general timeline. She said I was looking at another two months to go. @TNJ17 This is why she gave me the State Departments info because this all goes hand in hand she mentioned getting in touch with the Embassy to pay the fee and all that. Also she mentioned the NVC... all in all i am excited for the next steps. I think We passed the most difficult of waiting times for this whole process. My fiance has a clean record and has a good job in Dominican Republic so he'll go through the process down there with no problems. Just giving a little positive vibes to everyone on this forum. This is a long arduous ordeal have faith and you'll get through it too.
Thanks for the info though @TNJ17

OK so I thought about calling the USCIS to see whats up because the App says 206 days since they received my application.
I asked for a Tier 2, and after waiting 110 minutes I get my call back. The very sweet lady over the phone asks me my basic info to verify its me and she says hmm you were approved March 6th. Your letter went out on March 7th. I almost busted into happy tears. She then gave me a general timeline for the next steps and then gave me the State Departments info so I can call at the end of the month to pay the fee and wait for them to send it to the Dominican Republics consulate.
She says it'll be a little under 2 more months to go and my fiance will be here by Mothers day!!!!

So I called the USCIS helpline and the basic customer service person gave me to a tier 1 but not sure if he was a tier 1 because he didn't say so.
Then he said i have no pending request for additional info (super happy) and that if i don't get my letter saying something (A.)if i was either approved or (B). denied that i should call back.
Does anyone know how i should tackle this? i want to call back and get a tier 2 but do i come right out and ask for a tier 2?

Does anyone have any idea if the Dominican Republic has long waiting times?
I am the petitioner and an August 15th 2017 Filer and I haven't received any NOA2 of RFE or Denial yet.
Just a little anxious and looking for some good news if its out there.
i miss my fiance so much we are trying not for me to plan any trips so i can go down there once we get the interview info and I can be there for him. But this process is not for just anyone Love is the only thing that gets us through this. Thanks for any help

No approval no indication of anything except the fact that i realized that the "A" number was above his name. He is the beneficiary. i guess I just wanted to know if this is a positive indication for my I129F petition has been approved.
Wishful thinking...

Hi Everyone,
i hope someone can help. I'm at officially 183 days since my file was received by USCIS. I am beside my self with this whole process so I made an inquiry on the USCIS app on my phone asking about the NOA2. Looks like they thought I meant the NOA 1. so they sent me a copy of that letter, however, on that copy over my fiance's name where it says beneficiary is an "A" number. But we haven't received the NOA 2.. should I be excited, worried or disappointed?
If there's anyone out there that can ease my mind please let me know.
My last happy note
