Your medical is not marked as completed so you do need a I-693. I think it's only valid for 60 days, so I would find a civil surgeon that is willing to do it for a normal amount of money. Keep in mind, you can only use the ones that USCIS approved, not just anyone. (You can find a list on the USCIS website)
Usually once your status changes to 'interview is scheduled' your interview will be about a month later. Make sure you find a CS that can do the I-693 right when you need it, not one with a long waiting list.
Ok thank you! I will get searching for a civil surgeon then.

Ok so just to clarify... I sent my AOS and I have some time before I need to sort my jabs out with the civil surgeon. Correct? Also this won’t be an issue with me working ? After EAD of course

You have nothing for MMR. No dates at all, not even a first MMR. A Civil Surgeon will have to sign you off. Some won't do that unless they give a full medical. Call around and ask. And as a FYI, if you only have one MMR proof from your GP and four weeks have passed since you had it then you will be due a second one.
You can delay the I-693 closer to your interview as stated on the USCIS website:
NOTE: To ensure the results of the medical examination are still valid at the time USCIS adjudicates the associated benefit application, applicants should schedule the medical examination as close as possible to the time they file for adjustment of status, respond to a Request for Evidence, or attend an interview (if applicable).
Thank you for your reply, that’s just what I thought. So I guess I’m going to go ahead and file the AOS now and the I-693 after. How long can I expect to typically wait for my interview? Also do I file the vaccination report with my AOS (the image I uploaded)
-
Ok so here is my vaccinations form, does this look in order to you? I got marked ‘C’ on MMR.
-
Am I correct in saying I can’t file my AOS without getting the I-693 filled? I only need this for the interview?

Hey all, so I completed my medical in London and entered the states on a k1 visa. Now when I was at my medical in the UK I was missing a shot (2nd MMR) so I opted to have this done at my local doctors. Now I am In the US and am confused as every civil surgeon I speak to is saying I need to get my full medical redone. Please tell me this isn’t the case? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
Trust me, I had no intention of waiting so long. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control. Of course the expense was a major consideration. Thanks for your reply, I will be filing AOS in the coming days
-
That is a relief to hear, thank you so much. My next question is regarding the medical. Does this expire? I’ve read contrasting answers, some say 1 year and others 6 months. I had my medical in London.

Hey all,
so I arrived in the U.S August of last year and we got married within the 90 days, however I am just getting round to sending the AOS in the next few weeks due to money issues. As my visa expired am I likely to run into any issues filing it so late? This is really starting to worry me so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all, I am in the process of adjusting g my status after arriving to the states from England. I have just noticed my English drivers license is going to run out soon so what I would like to know is can I get a new u.s Driver’s license here in South Carolina? Not sure if this is allowed just yet as I don’t have my green card. Thank you for any help you can provide. I’ve been looking online for answers with not much luck so far

Wow I never received that form.
-
I have my I-129f in front of me now. Is it the number under the barcode beginning with A? Top left of the form.
-
Also on part 3 on the same page it asks if I have ever applied for an immigrant visa to obtain permanent resident status at a us embassy or consulate.
Now this has confused me? Does my initial k1 petition while I lived in England count as a ‘yes’ for this question.
thank you!
-
On the I-485 forms, page 4 question 2.., it asks for ‘receipt number of underlying petition’ can someone please tell me where I can find this? I’m a k1 visa holder.
thank you !

Ok great thank you, also what documents will I need to bring with me? Just I-94 and passport ?

I arrived on a k1 and got married last week. I am now going to get my SS#, however on the application form it says:
citizenship: 1) u.s citizen 2) legal alien allowed to work 3) legal alien not allowed to work 4) other.
i have not send off for the work permit yet along with my AOS so am I right in thinking I select ‘legal alien not allowed to work’
thanks

I can confirm that the EAD and AP fees are waived if they are filed for at the same time as AOS. File them at the same time and only pay $1225.
I agree that you should learn everything well before you start the process. The next step will after AOS is ROC in 2 years. Start learning about the ROC process and fees now.
Thank you!
-
Thank you for clarifying this. I thought I was fully prepared and then when I read the fee on another forum I started to panic!

It’s because my partner is waiting on funds and will not be able to afford it all at once. It may be after the 90 mark when we send off for EAD. Just wanted to make sure this will still be ok.we have a baby due very soon so money is tight right now. But yes of course it makes sense to send it ASAP so I can get to work sooner I just want to know all possibilities
-
I only just found the guides. Thank god! I’m aware it’s best to send everything ASAP, but was wondering if it all needs to be sent together. Can I file for AOS and then for a work permit. Does it matter if I send for a work permit after the 90 days if I have already sent off my AOS
-
Can I apply for EAD separately after I’ve sent my I-485? Does it have to be in the 90day window?
Change of address for AOS
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

Me and my wife have recently moved and are about to file for AOS. Now how do I go about contacting USCIS about our address change? Do we just put the new address in the AOS or do I have to do it separately somehow? Thank you!
