    One year, that's great!

We did biometrics today, took 26 minutes...hahaha. fast and painless (no waiting).  Now will wait for the notice for the interview, I guess?

Then we went straight to DMV for Ana to take the Driving Permit Test on computer...she finally said she was ready.

But, she failed after 12 questions. It was hard she said - very different from the online testing quizes...said they showed photos of intersections and asked questions and some other obscure questions.

Anyway - she has some experience now on what to expect and I swear they make the first attempt test harder than the follow-ups.

I told her no problem, we will go back tomorrow and try again.  We will go back every day until the 8th of September or until she passes - I figure she can make 6 more attempts...hahaha

    stay tuned.....

    good luck to, John!

May I ask what proof of legal status you showed DMV to be able to apply for driver's license? I heard the NOA for AOS can be used and I just want to confirm.

im from davao so i don't know how it works. so you did receive an emali and txt with your tracking#?

Then it would take time for them to deliver since youre far from Manila, I dont think it will take 3-5 days for you.

    The email will say:

    Dear _____

Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate

The passport number being returned is EB______ and the airway bill for tracking is A1_______

You have chosen to have your documents delivered to the following location:

    *address*

but the text will only say:

Passport number EB______ ay maaari ng kuhanin.

Don’t worry about the text though. Even if it says its for pickup the email will say it will be delivered.

oh ok,   im so confused with mine.it was issued  june 4(1 working day from interview)as far as i know after issued they will deliver maybe after 3-5 days but my k2 still 'application receive'wondering if it will be deliver together or separate.🤦‍♀️ well guess i still have to wait. anyways congrats☺️

I think most of the time they deliver it together. The day 2go picks up your passport at the embassy, they (USEM) will text and email you with the tracking number. Then on the day you will get your visa 2go will text you that it will arrive.

wow, I haven’t received mines too. It’s been two weeks now. I wonder what happened coz the CO said it’ll arrive within 1 to 2 weeks. i called 2go, check 2go tracking websites, ustraveldocs, ceac, and even called the embassy. They just made a report about it to confirm the actual status but until now I’m not receiving anything. 😩 i guess waiting more is the only way

Is your status issued already? And did you have it delivered or for pickup? Maybe you live far from Manila.

First off Congratulations. Second, yes the fact that they stated "your visa is approved" at the interview gives you a little sigh of relief. BUT, there is further processing that needs to be done and sometimes that can put you in a delayed category. I hope your's travels the smooth trail which most do at USEM.

Very smooth. It was only a day under AP then issued 2 days after. My visa will be delivered today (4th working day). :)

My fiancée had her interview at MNL embassy today, The CO only said "thank you're finished" Never said approved or not. And my Fiancée never asked if she was approved??? is this common? When will we know if she was approved?

Also is it common for them to Keep the original Birth certificate? will she get it back? with her passport/visa??

During my interview the CO clearly said “your visa is approved” but if they didnt ask for any other additional documents you need to send over and kept her passport then she passed. Also, they keep the Birth certificate as far as I know.

it was great! i don’t know if it was cold or i was just nervous 😂. theres only few questions and im glad i get to explain well how we met otherwise they’ll dig into it and find it suspicious. my album of pictures helped a lot too, they really check it, but everyone should double check DS form, errors there makes them think that you’re unreliable to take an oath too.😊

Do they double check the passport number on the appointment letter?

I’m done with the interview and I just got approved too 😊 they gave me a paper with a phone number. CO said call it to register delivery address but it can’t be reached actually. I’m just thinking 🤔 didn’t we put the delivery address already when we scheduled appointment? should i still keep on calling? also what to do next aside from waiting for the Visa? 😬

Congrats how was your interview experience in Manila? :)

my finacee is doing her medical in MNL today. traveling from ILOILO, are you saying she will have to come all the way back for a flu shot?

It wont affect her interview if she doesnt have the flu vaccine yet. The nurse who did my vaccine said that if the vaccine is not available before my flight I could just get it in the states.

Can you update us if she’s told the same thing? That she needs the flu vaccine? I’d like to here from someone else.

You don't need a flu vaccine.

When does the flu season start for purposes of the seasonal flu vaccine requirement? Since the seasonal flu vaccine is required, do I have to get the seasonal flu vaccine if it is not the flu season?

    A.  For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 30, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

    https://www.uscis.gov/news/questions-and-answers/vaccination-requirements

They said that the US now wants the vaccine given as early as May (usually it’s June) that’s why they weren’t prepared and have no available vaccine. They’re going to call us when it’s already available and I have to come back.

yes 😊 you only need the receipt and your passport. thats it!

when you get there give your receipt to the guard inside and he will put a stamp “immunization 2nd flr” or “sputum” something. then youll just go to the 2nd floor, hand it over to the counter and wait to be called to take the vaccines. after that you’re done and you’ll just wait on the ground floor for releasing, that is when you need your passport.

Thanks! How many hours did the immunization and releasing take?
