Did you pay the fee?

@Valmabe I am at fault because I should have brought all my documents with me, they are at fault because they lost my divorce decree papers, but ended up just getting an RFE and already sent in a copy so now just waiting.
-
@Valmabe to be honest I don’t really know, but if it did than I guess I’m just as in much fault as they are.

We had our interview on Monday (1/6/2020, Chatsworth, Ca ) everything went well except that the fact they did not include my divorce papers with the 129F so the officer was not able to approve us, she did mention that everything looks good and in order and that she has to request that information from whichever office sent them the package, and that a decision would be mailed to our house, so I would advise anyone who has been divorce to take the decree, didn't think that I would need to since everything was sent already but that's the nature of the beast, we are still in good spirits we just wanted to share our experience.

My wife had her biometrics appointment on May 28, both I-485 and I-765 have updated and say " Fingerprint review was completed" but the I-131 has not changed, just continues to say " Case was Received" (May 3)...Wanted to see if anyone has dealt with something like this, I am not too worried since we wont be traveling until December but still want to stay on top of things just incase, thank you.

@Amy J Hdz I wouldn't see a problem, but things have cleared up somewhat at the embassy in Managua so I would definitely think about what would work out the best for your situation. I just had my interview and have talked to other applicants who went through the interview in Managua and everything seems to be running normal.

@Nica305 thank you for the info.
-
@Greenbaum yes I have checked there and not much information about interviews, the country has been going through government issues so just wanted to see if anyone has any insight on how the embassy is handling the interview.

Does anyone else have an interview this month, just wondering if anyone has already gone through the process in Nicaragua lately? Will be in the country at the end of the month for mine.

I read it on one of the forums here but that’s why I am seeking help to see what my best option is

So I will try to make this as simple as possible, our petition is already at the embassy, ds 160 is already filed, the interview(the end of November) and the medical exam is already scheduled, I recently found out that I have to relocate to a different state for work, so everything has my current address on it, by the time the interview comes around I will have a different address, my question is what can I do? On the I-134 it asks for employer address, which will say California because that's where I'll be relocating, but the rest of the paperwork shows Texas, I was thinking I should just explain everything during the interview process because I have read somewhere that once the petition has been approved you can not make an address change, any help would be great thank you.

@setsemas the embassy is receiving packages, the days for interviews are very minimal.

If I were you I would just wait it out, that is what I am going to do.

@Mduce I received this on Friday, have you heard any new information?
-
-
@Kely&Jose No, I haven't, I have attached what was sent to me in an email from the NVC, so now it seems like another period of waiting until things clear up, but I do plan on staying on top of both the NVC and the embassy in Nicaragua to see about any updates.
-
@MKal I would assume they are going to slowly start-up operations, I believe we are going to have to stay on top of them to see when an appointment can be made.
-
@MKal My case still has not reached the embassy yet, it's still in the process of going to the NVC, and yes I have read that as well but that's why I decided to email them to get some type of direction and was told they are starting to open up slots.

Work Denied even though valid to work
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Posted
Hello everyone,
So, my wife ran into a situation today and I am somewhat lost on how to handle this, other than angry. I am a US Citizen, so this is about her. My wife has an expired green card, we have filed already for I751- Petition to remove conditions of residence before it was expired, we have done everything right and keep up to date with USCIS. So, she was offered a job and today was her first day, she was called into the office and asked for her green card which is expired, and she also showed the I-797 (which the notice is dated 04/05/2023) which even stats that the validity of the green card has been extended for 48 months from the date of expiration (Her green card expired 2/2022). The sent it the information to a higher division and now they are saying that she cannot work due to her green card being expired, even though it stats there in black and white that she can work and travel. Any info helps, thank you all and God Bless.
