    Hello y'all,

Its been a while since I've been on here. Been bz job hunting and keeping bz trying to have some time with DH before he goes off on Deployment in a couple weeks. I had my interview this morning everything went well and we were approved on spot.

We used a lawyer to file concurrently I-175, 130, 485 we didnt file for AP as I didnt think I'd need it or that it wouldve taken this long. Adjusting from H2B visa

    01/12- package sent

    01/16- received

    02-14 -AOS biometrics done

    03/07- EAD bio done

    06/29- EAD mailed

    06/30- updated ss card received

    07/02- EAD received

    07/02- interview scheduled

    08/13- interview date

08/13 - status card is being produced.

Interview appointment was 8am, we got there around 7:25am. Parking was a little difficult to find downtown. We were in the building by 7:40am we took our mobile devices becuz we forgot to leave them in the car. It was not an issue most people had their phones but the signs on the walls just said be curteous and no loud talking on phones we turned ours off and drop them in my purse. We went through security and was checked in by 7:50am. We got Called in at approximately 8am. We were escorted in a nice private office no glass. She told our attorney to sit over in the corner and instructed us to remain standing, raise our right hand and took the oath to tell the truth. She asked for original documents, births, marriage, divorce, passport, IDs, etc. She asked us our full names and DOB. Verified information and signatures, asked my husband to verify that he was still active duty Marine. She then went into my immigration timeline from the very first time i entered the country, how many times I've entered and left etc. She asked abt each visa (I had three other usa visas at different times) i had entered the usa several times prior to my h2b visa since I was a teenager) so im guessing she wanted to verify becuz she had a separate list with different times I entered and why, as i talked abt each, she would tick. I had a b2 visa and the others were work visas and was used for such. She then asked about my jobs where I worked each time and dates she confirmed, if I was currently working to which i answered no. Next she went into the yes and no questions. Then she went into our relationship. How, when and where we met, how did we end up exchanging numbers, when did the relationship got serious, what was our first date like? What did we do after? Did we meet each other's parents, When did we decide to get married, what was our wedding date,  what was our wedding like, who was there, what did we do after the wedding, did we go on a honeymoon, why did we have a small wedding instead of a big one to which we explained we both wanted to keep it small and sentimental, as well as we were saving up for the move as he was stationed cross country, she asked if both of our parents knew each other and if they're in total agreement with us. She asked for pics and as she went through our album which was labeled and had notes of what was taking place in each pic she would take out a pic she wanted to keep and asked us if that was ok. She kept a few wedding photos, family pics, friends, she took two other pics with me pinning my husband at his promotion ceremony. She commented on some of the pics and asked a question here and there. She asked us where we see ourselves in 5yrs each of us had the opportunity to respond, then she ask if we plan to take any trips together in the near future and where we wanna go, and if we wanted children and how many, She asked for joint documents, the ones we presented were ( bank, lease from 2012 when we just moved in together, current lease, insurance, joint tax, phone bill) she said she didn't need anything else as i was abt to pull out more joint documents lol) i had a bunch of other documents and joint evidence but she didn't need them. She then looked at us and said she have every reason to believe our relationship is well established based on everything she's seen and heard she has no doubt approving our case, she said welcome to the united states, explained how the conditional gc works gave us exact dates to renew for the 10yr, told us to start making plans to travel, have us sign the paper that we understood, then she said she highly recommend for me to apply for citizenship at the 3yr mark becuz it is cheaper and easier than renewing the 10yr gc. She welcomed me again to the usa and asked if we have any questions to which we said no in unison. It seems like a long process but in reality it was only 45mins, we were done at exactly 8:45am and by 9am my online status changed to card in production. She was pleasant, and the whole interview was more like a casual conversation with laughs here and there. We had our documents well organized and didnt give or offered anything that wasnt asked for. Our answers were short and to the point, DH and I tool took turns filling in the answers. She emphasized keeping all our joint documents and we can get more if we wanted to, she said the more the merrier for when we are removing the conditions.

Sorry for the long post i just wanted to be as detailed as possible. So glad this is all over for now! Time to get settled into my new job and start moving on with life 😁😁😁 good luck to those who have upcoming interviews and pray dates come quickly for those still waiting especially December and January filers.

Yay Amazing :) Congratulations again my darling.

I am so sorry to hear about your husbands brother. Thank you for your help.

We went to the local office yesterday and they only give the emergency parole for 30 days. Did you have a similar experience? I was hoping to get for a longer period so I could be with her when her chemotherpahy starts.

I got a letter from the doctor. Thank you

Thank you kindly. No worries, He had gotten his for the year and in 3 days he received the actual card( combo card ) in the mail.

Has anyone successfully expedited their AP? Did they mail in the request? What did they exactly mail in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My sister just got diagnosed with breast cancer and I want to see her.  thank you!

    Good Morning ,

We expedited my husband's due to death of my brother. It is easier to walk in to the field office vs doing it over the phone as they are more helpful. We brought with us a copy of the 1-131, receipts from USCIS stating that we paid and all that ,  death certificate and funeral arrangements for my brother , plane tickets and proof that it was my sibling ( his birth certificate and mine to show parents' names) with 2 passport size photos and we were good. We got approved on the spot and left there in an hour tops. In your case , i would say get a letter from the doctor or hospital, purchase airfare and go to your field office and explain yourself :)

Let us know how it goes.

Best of Luck and I will keep your sister in my prayers.

Good morning y'all. I haven't been on here much lately.. Just trying to keep myself busy.  But just some update, I got the "card is being produced" email this morning for ead thank God. It's been 161 days since pd, I did not expedite! I am very happy this morning, I feel like I can breathe again as I have been so depressed lately. This process is draining me mentally, the wait is brutal but thankful I'm now one step closer. Now I'm going to buckle down into some serious job hunting while I wait for the card in the mail. Hope y'all have a blessed day!

Yay finally :) So happy for my boo <3

Hi yall! So i just got one of those generic messages abt still reviewing case  nothing new at this time, last took action May17th. I've had that user define error on uscis.gov since March so i haven't really been checking the status. Anyways I decided to check it today and the aos is now completely removed from that site. I tried to add it again and ofc its not adding. The dhs webpage still shows bio received jan 24th. I just want to go bk to work already 😩

Ah boy girl this is jus crazy ! Smh

I recently obtained my EAD/AP combo card, I’m planning a trip to Spain to visit my family ( I’m currently pregnant too) which makes me a little hesitant but I have read so many positive experiences that I think there should not be any issues. NOW my question is this. My combo card has my MARRIED name where as my passport has my MAIDEN name, when it comes to buying the plane ticket, which do I use?  My guess would be my maiden name as I would be showing my passport to get through security and on my way back have my marriage license to prove my name on my Combo card.

    Has anyone experienced this before??

My sister who works for the airline said you can use your maiden name because your ticket will need to reflect the information in your passport . I believe you will be fine . Walk with everything though when you travel

  7. Hey guys ,

Been away for a little while because of the death of my brother and  to keep my nerves down. Anyhoo , I must say expediting over the phone was a total waste of time because everyone had different answers that had me spinning so I trusted my guts and went to the field office in NYC.  IO was so nice and all he asked for was my supporting documents to back my expediate ( in my case , the death of my brother overseas) and he asked for our flight info .. I told him honestly I did not purchase a ticket because I was not sure they would allow me in or approve me because of the way the officers over the phone were speaking. He said understandable and that I had so much evidence to show him ( death certificate, funeral home letter, letter from my job giving me bereavement days and my tears lol )  and the passport pics with all my NOA receipts so it shouldn't be a problem.   It took me literally a hour and I was walking out with my hubby's documents.  While driving home, I get notices from uscis that my case has been approved on my ead and ap , I just laughed and said oh well ... 100 days to the record and all I can say is thank god and always trust your guts.

I don't think some and I say SOME of the IOs are that bad , you have some very good ones that will just listen and help . They will try to  help in every way possible and tell you what you need if something is missing.

Anyways let me go prepare for my brother's funeral . It is bittersweet but Im just happy my husband will be right by my side as I lay a piece of my heart to rest.

I will pop in again to check on my fam bam here . Hang in there and have faith yall . :)

  8. Morning lovies ,

soooo after speaking to an IO this morning, she confirmed that ap& EADs will now take 5-7 months due to “security reasons” . Patience is the key though although at times it can be so tough . On the bright side ,  all of us are with our loved ones so that’s comforting . Let’s just hope for the best going forth. Congrats to all who have gotten interview dates:)

    one love :)

I have a question about interview... We do not have picture with families basically at all because my spouse does not have very good relationship with her parents and they are not aware of this marriage. My parents live overseas and could not visit. Is this a red flag?

    What we have:

    1) Mutual lease (signed 8 months ago)

    2) Mutual Health insurance

    3) Plenty of credit cards being authorized users of each other

    4) Pictures from wedding with friends. Pictures from trips/vacations.

    5) Mutual checking account

    6) Sworn affidavits from friends

    7) Utility and phone bills with our names on them

    8) We have worked at the same place twice in the past (we have proof. This was also listed in I-130)

    9) Joint Taxes from 2017

I am sure we some some other things as well, but just wanted to ask if this is enough given the parent situation. We are planning to tell the truth about parents if asked.

Your insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I think you should be fine. Pics with family are good but what you have evidence seem to be solid to me so I wouldn’t worry that much . Jus breathe easy and finesse that interview :)

I saw a letter from USCIS through informed delivery this morning too! And when I was out getting lunch, I got an email from our lawyer saying she received my EAD and AP and green card appointment letter for May 3rd!!! I know USCIS will send a copy of everything they send to your lawyer so I’ll get the interview letter later today too. Good luck everyone still waiting I think this is a very good month!

I checked the informed delivery this morning and there's a letter coming from the National Benefits Center today! I can't wait for the mail lady to come later today!

Fingers crossed! Even if it's an RFE, it's better than no changes in my cases. At least that's what I think. I'll keep you guys posted. :)

Lmao I’m happy for u and fingers and toes crossed lol anxiously waiting to hear what it is lol
