  1. Hello everyone! It has been such a long time. I'm happy to announce that I've gotten my green card! It took a 1 year and 4 months for me in the Houston office.

We had our interview on May 2. Officer looked through our initial submission. I told him that my name was misspelled in my NOA, so he looked at my docs and made some changes on the computer. He asked for important evidence only, and said he did not need to see pictures. Gave him the sealed medical results, copies of our lease, insurance, husband's benefits and 401k showing me as beneficiary, joint car purchases, and tax return. He was very nice, didn't seem stern or super formal. He told us that they will have to look through it and we will hear back in about 4 weeks.

And 4 weeks it was! On June 3, I received notification that card is in production. Card arrived on June 7. BUT! The typo is still there.... So I filed an I90. More waiting! But before I filed that, I renewed my DL at the DPS so I can have a full term DL.

It's 2019 now, a year after application receipt date. Who else are left here😂

I just received the receipt number for combo card renewal, and today I'm supposed to hear back from potential employer about a job offer. Good luck to me!

According to Houston filing time, people with August 2017 PD are getting interviews this month. Hopefully there's no more delay in the field office and we can get GC in around July/August! Cheers

Hey! Mine will be one year next month. About to send my EAD renewal today.

If the interviewing pace keeps up, we should be interviewing in about 6 months' time! Have you done your medical? I should start looking into it.

Update:  EAD arrived a week ago today, SSN arrived on Tuesday and now case has updated to say an interview has been scheduled.  Full steam ahead!  Feeling slightly overwhelmed!  I updated my resume and signed up to Indeed, applied for more than 10 jobs only to then discover my resume didn't transfer correctly!  Ahhh!  How is everyone else doing? :energy:.

Haha good luck with the job search! I am on the same boat. As soon as my ead was approved, I started sending out applications. I searched on Indeed, then look up the job on the company's website and applied directly to the company. Applied to 10 so far! Fingers crossed. I go to college but I have so much free time that I need to work!

hello fellas! My EAD arrived this Tuesday (mailed on Mon) and the SSN will arrive today (mailed on Mon). My question is: I'm currently under H1b status with the approval i-797a and visa stamp under the maiden name. With the SSN updated to my married name, shall I go ahead and inform the HR name change? I'm worried that there's problem in amending my H1b documents but I do plan to use the h1b visa to re-enter the US coming September.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for your question, but I have a question for you, if you don't mind.

How did you know that ssn will arrive today? Is it through Informed Delivery? I can't seem to sign up for it and I don't know when I should start stalking the mailman for my ssn. Haha. Can you tell me where it is being mailed from? I might be able to estimate when mine will arrive. Thank you in advance!

Received an email a couple of days ago with case information regarding the production of the combo card.  Received an email this afternoon stating the card has been delivered!  Cannot wait to check the mail!

Did you get an update on the USCIS website? Is there a tracking number? Soooo exciteeeed aaaaah!

My uscis account hasn't updated, only the DHS account. Please keep us updated regarding the SSN card.

Hi everyone!  So excited to receive an email notification this morning of an action being taken on our case!  My EAD card is being produced!  Woohoo!  My husband and I are so happy!  We did not expedite!  I hope everyone else receives theirs soon too!

Side note: does anyone know if the SSN will follow shortly after?  I ticked the box requesting an SSN on the I-765.

This is so wonderful!  There has been no news for what felt like the longest time!

Congratulations!!!! Oh my. All these ead approvals are about to keep my hopes up. Lol.

I've seen somewhere before, someone posted about the ssn. They received the ssn card a few days after receiving ead, both in the mail. But don't quote me on this.
