  1. Sorry to hear you are going through this difficulty. Other members gave great advice.

Immigration will be long for the SIL and BIL. Your MIL will get green card faster than other family members (2 years at least vs 17-20years). However in that case she will be going no where and living with you until the SIL can come. If I were you I would be honest and tell them what doesn't work for you. Start with your wife because she thinks it would take only couple of months. Immigration take over 17-20 years for the SIL. MIL will not have quality living here when it comes to medical expenses.

Did they have return tickets when they were admitted at the border? I'm thinking they must have had some intentions of staying longer than 10 days before they came here.

My wife is a US citizen. We were living together for about a year before we got married in 2017 so we had joint accounts/Leases/Bank statements when we initially filed and I also added more documents to the file when we had our interview in 2018. I-751 filing was additional documents/photographs/joint tax returns/mortgage statements/joint bank account statements etc.

Wow. Congrats! I wish LIN would move this fast. Still showing case was received :(

    Hello March Filers!

I got an update in my case that 'New Card Is Being Produced' which I assume means I751 is approved and new card will be sent.

Just want to share the good news and seems it was really fast to get this approval in just about 2 months. Anyone else got approved recently?

Congrats. Can you please provide more info on the nature of your application and what supporting documents you submitted? Thanks

90 days/~30= 3 months. You can do the math from here.

Many people make this exact mistake, they think 90 days is the same as 3 months, and therefore overstay their ESTA or send their ROC too early.

agree that's why I put the "~" to denote approximation.  a month is not 30 days every month. in the case of the OP,  filing 2 month before green card's anniversary date using the 30d/m approximation will not hurt her since it is not too close to either side.

Just file the form as it is, and sign with ink in the last part as required. It is the USCIS file that populated the signature not you, and I am sure they are aware of it. I filled my application that way, and i am sure millions of people did too.

Don't stress over it. Just make sure you sign Part 8, and the check, and everything will be fine.

Thank you for the reply. I am leaning toward what you suggested since the form comes from USCIS and they recommend using adobe. Part 8 is for the US citizen right?

Mine did, too, and I submitted the forms like that. Had no issue. Extension letter already received.

Thanks for the update. I am split between submitting it as is or doing what one of the commenters mentioned regarding printing the page by itself empty and filling it out. although I do not know if it will affect the QR code at the bottom of the page.

  7. Hello,

i-751 auto-populates the box in section 7 with the name filled in Part 1. The only problem is that it puts the first letter of first name. first letter of middle name. full last name.

The box cannot be edited to have the entire first and middle name.

This box I am referring to is under "Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center" where it says I, [......]

    What to do?

    Thanks

  8. This happened to us today. I received the entire packet back with the same notice you received regarding I-485. All of the forms I have are the current ones on USCIS except I-693, I have the previous edition and on their website they say

    Quote

10/19/17.  Starting Jan. 2, 2018, civil surgeons must use the 10/19/17 edition of Form I-693. USCIS will not accept the 02/07/17 version (or any previous editions) that a civil surgeon signed and dated on or after Jan. 2, 2018. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.

My I-693 is the 02/07/17 edition but it was signed by the doctor before Jan. 2, 2018. so I don't think that is the problem. USCIS definitly made an error
