We got our interview today, I expected I would be nervous but I wasn’t nervous at all and I think the interview went great! And I think that being calm really helps, I wish your husband feels better and I hope that your interview was as great as mine!!

Well, I finally have my interview tomorrow! I’m not really nervous but I hope that “my” field officer is nice!

I’m bringing a photo album, letters that we wrote to each other, postcards from two friends, proof that we just refinanced our car and both our names are on it, the Verizon bill showing we’re on the same plan, bank statements, a copy of two credit cards that we’re both on, a letter from my father in law and, of course, our daughter’s birth certificate.

Today has been a long day and I’m pretty tired so I hope I can rest well tonight and hopefully tomorrow will be a nice day in Baltimore!

    Crossing my fingers!!!!

    Hello Guys,

So I had my interview yesterday at the USCIS office in Baltimore MD, the appointment was scheduled at 8:30 am. We live about an hour away from Baltimore so just to be safe, because you never know with traffic, we left early and arrived at 7:30 AM. We went to Mcdonalds to eat and kill time and went in and checked in around 8:15 AM.
You have to go thru security like in the airport, but no need to take off your shoes.
The waiting room was pretty full, they do all type of interviews, oath ceremonies etc. After an hour waiting we were called around 9:30AM by a gentleman, he walked us to his office and introduced himself.
He checked our IDs and my fingerprint to verify our identities; then sworn us in. He asked if we had any other documents we wanted to add to the application, so I gave him the list below:
W2 for my husband for 2017 My husband last 2 paystubs our joint 2017 tax return my offer letter and first paycheck since I started working 3 weeks ago Joint apartment lease Car insurance with both our names Renters insurance with both our names Proof that I am on his health and dental Insurance plan copy of my military ID last 2 statements of our joint checking and savings account Copy of our joint Cell Phone plan about 20 pictures from the photo album we brought with various pictures with family, our wedding, honeymoon etc My medical exam After that, he told us the conversation will be recorded and kept our IDs until the end.

He first started talking with my husband and went over the petition (I adjusted from B2), he verified all the info on it, asked for my full name, DOB, my parents' name, if he knew where I worked and lived before living together, how we met, why he chose to be with me and get married to me, if he met my parents, who attended our wedding etc.
It wasn't like an interrogation, he was politely asking questions and verifying along the way, so we felt comfortable and not stressed.
He told us he was satisfied with our relationship and would recommend the petition for approval.

Then, it was my turn and we went over the AOS package, he asked for my husband's full name, DOB,  his parent's name, if I have met his parents and went over all the information written on it and also the Yes/No questions at the end that he tried to condense a bit. I also told him that I was changing to my married name, he made a note on the application and saw that I changed my name on my Drivers license.

After this part, we went over pictures, he even smiled while looking at a few ones, so we were happy about that.

The interview was over at this point and he asked if we had any questions, I told him I would like for my green card to have my married name. He assured me it will be the case.
Finally, he gave us like a receipt that says we completed the interview and the case was being held for review. He reassured us that it was nothing bad but just their procedure. I read on the Baltimore thread that it is just how they are at this particular office, they never tell you if you are approved on the spot and always give you that paper.
He told us to look out for the mail, for either the approval letter or if they require additional document they will be in touch. The whole interview took about 45 min.
We left happy and relieved this was done and went for brunch lol.
I hope we get the green card soon and we can close that chapter for a few years, praying for EADs and interviews for all that are still waiting. And THANK YOU so so much for the valuable information shared, and words of support and encouragement. I will still be around to help to the best of my knowledge.

    God bless

    Thank you!

It’s actually just a simple “Redouane and Janet are currently living in a house owned by XXX and have been since November 15, 2017” then signed by my father and sister and dated.
It was the only thing I could think of to do since I don’t have a lease or own the house.

As for the family phone plan I just made a copy of the bill and wrote a letter (signed by my father since it’s in his name) listing all of the phone numbers and who they belong to (there’s six of us on one plan)

    I think that’s good enough!!

What do the statements from your father say? I’m curious because I’m also living in family property and it didn’t occur to me to bring a statement saying so!

Well, I just hung up. The normal processing times for my office is between 13 and 35 months so I’m good.

Allow me to go to my corner and cry for a title bit.

Lol, I know, it’s hard specially when your patience is less than zero!!

But you’ll see in less than a week everything will start to fall into place and you’ll receive your NOAs and then your biometrics appointment and everything will work out fine!
At least we have each other, not to comfort ourealces but to follow timelines 😜

I think that they either send you the receipt notice or a rejection letter, I guess they wouldn’t cash the checks if they reject the applications but who knows with this country! (just kidding)

So I got the NOA I was missing (yay!) and I also got today (we just moved out so I put the mail on hold for several days) the appointment for the biometrics, which is February 2nd, one month exactly since I applied! So you should get yours soon too!!

I hope you have a great weekend too!!

3 months is good I like that!!!

Yeah most likely your move may affect the process, hoping you get the EAD before that so that we can work and keep yourself busy in the mean time!

    Take care

I will keep you posted also, I think that my timeline is going to be affected when we move but it’s for the better.

From what I’ve read, we should get the Biometrics letter in three weeks and the biometrics appointment should be one week after that.
And people are getting approved for the EAD three months after applying so it’s really looking good!

Good, thank you for letting me know I will take a look at the November and December timeline to get an idea, since we are about 1 week apart I should get the NOA next week then.

    I will keep you posted.

Hi there! Same here, but we got married on August, we are in Georgia but we’ll be moving to Maryland around March!

I sent my AOS package on December 30th so my priority date is January 2nd.

I got the text messages and the email receipts for the three forms on January 10th and yesterday we got the NOA for the 130 and 485, I guess I should get the one for the 765 today. I am checking my status everyday but nothing so far, I’m so anxious!!! I keep checking the threads for November and December, they keep
my hopes up because they’re going so fast!!!
