Obviously individual cases are different but I've seen a lot of people, myself included, building it up to be something scary which is what I meant by nothing to worry about. I wouldn't recommend to anybody that they shouldn't take everything they might need, of course it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
I would think most people in differing circumstances such as yourself would understand that I'm not saying that it'll all be easy no matter what.

I thought I would add my interview experience as I know that reading others helped me a lot with nerves and preparation:
My interview was scheduled for 11:30, I arrived at 11 and checked in with the friendly girl at the tent, showing her my confirmation email and passport. She directed me through to security where I emptied my pockets - phone, keys and wallet - into the scanner and passed through and was then directed up to the main building. There's a queuing area that says to wait if your appointment is on the half hour with nobody in so I stood awkwardly not knowing if I could just go straight inside or not until I saw one of the girls at the desk waving at me to come in. I handed my DS-160 over and was given a sticker with my number on and directed on to the lift and the 1st floor.
I found a seat in the almost empty immigrant visa section at 11:10 and nervously waited for my number to be called. My number came up at about 11:15 and I handed over my birth certificate, passport, police certificate, affidavit and photo and answered a few basic questions (Have you ever been in the military, adopted, etc). He then asked me how my fiancee and I met and commented on how nice it was that we met 'the old fashioned way' in line to get into a bar. I then did my fingerprints.
I was told to take a seat again and wait for the same number to be called for the interview portion. I was called at 11:34 after listening to a couple of people before me being successful and walked up to meet a very friendly lady with the first American accent I heard on the day. I swore an oath of truthfulness and did my fingerprints again. She asked me how my fiancee and I met, whether that was when we officially started dating, where she lives in the US, whether she has her own place and what she does for work. She then said "Well, everything looks good on this end so you'll have your visa within 1-2 weeks" and that was it. I handed over no financial documents other than the i-134, no further proofs, nothing at all. Called at 11:34, approved at 11:36!
I almost skipped into the lift after saying thank you and goodbye, had a pleasant conversation with the other successful K1s (I was approved before they even managed to call the elevator!) and called my fiancee to try and get my head around what had just happened .
Seriously guys, you have absolutely nothing to worry about!

Hey guys! We just received our approval notice through the post 😁😁! NOA1 was September 5th and NOA2 was dated March 6th, it took sooo long to get there from when they posted it to today! The website still hasn't updated for us so definitely don't give up hope if you think you should have had yours by now 😊!

WAC numbers are sequential. You can enter your number but with lower or higher last number or two to see where you are. But keep in mind that you might get notification by mail before any update to website or app.
Now I feel silly! Thank you 😀

Hey! Where abouts are you? I'm down in the South West in Somerset
We filed on the 8th so I'm patiently waiting and praying for any day now...!
Hi to my fellow UKers! I'm here in gloomy Bedfordshire slightly less patiently waiting and praying! We had our first NOA on the 5th, it's so close I can almost reach it

Still nothing for us as yet . This almost feels worse than the previous 6 months as I'm checking constantly expecting to see an update and being disappointed. There is a possibility that they posted to us but my fiancee isn't going to be where the mail goes until the weekend so it's still a waiting game. I just want to be heading in the right direction!

Hey, thank you
You get a confirmation page which you must print out and take with you, it should be emailed once you've completed the ds-160 form. This picture is an example I found online which should hopefully show you what I mean
