Current values per latest available statement, so the statements can be the evidence.  If the value is very comfortably over the needed amount, one statement is usually good.  You could show one 3, 6, 9, and 12 months back if you want.

    hi

what you filled out is correct, 0 for spouse

remember that the i864 has multiple use, for different family members

so if your husband was filing for a parent for example, number 1 would be for the parent, 2 himself, 3 you, and 4 your son, and the household size would be 4

but since the spouse is the beneficiary and can't be counted twice, you are counted on number one as the beneficiary

Just do it right.  Here is the logic.  If you lost your job last week, and you are asked for your current income, it is ZERO, not the amount you already made this year.  That's what "current" means.  By the same logic, if you started a new job last week making 1k a week, your current income is 52k, not what you'll make for the rest of 2022.

No, unless it takes her Total income line to an amount less than needed to qualify.  Her current income does not come from a tax return though.  It comes from her paystub.

Ok, great! Actually the stock gains increased her total income the first year and very mildly decreased her total income the second year, in both cases she is well above the requirement to qualify as a sponsor.

As far as current income goes, I have an employer letter for my mom as well as her pay stubs that I will attach.

Ultimately though I am pretty sure I will have a job by the time the interview happens (already have job applications in progress) and, if that is the case,  plan on giving my wife an updated I-864 to give to the officer.

sharpie11 got a reaction from Yumburger in I-130 "last address at which you physically lived together"
I am a US citizen and my wife is an Indian citizen. I got married last year in India and lived with my wife for a few months after marriage (I am on a multi entry tourist visa to India), returned to the US, then came back have been in India for the last few months again (since late Jan of this year). Now I believe my physical address is still my US residence address, based on a previous question .. so is the answer to this still "Have Never Lived Together" ? Do I need to add any explanatory notes in part 9 about my visits and that we stayed together when I was visiting?

It means the address where you physically live & reside. There isn't a hard line on visiting vs residing. Either way, it's just background information so I wouldn't worry too much about it. As noted, I would just list the US address since the stay is temporary.

    Yes, that's fine.

sharpie11 reacted to Alexandre Silva in I-130 of my stepchildren approved while my wife's I-130 is still pending RFE.
    Hello members of VJ.
I have a question: I just received the letters indicating the I-130 petitions for my 2 stepchildren (8 and 15 year-olds) were approved but I also received a letter indicating that I need another document (proof of divorce for my wife and her ex-husband). They did not accept our marriage license (certificate) which contains information declaring that she was previously married and divorced as per Brazilian law. So I am having a sworn translation of her divorce decree to send them. But, my question is about how to combine the three I-130 petitions under one family at NVC since I fear the petitions for my stepchildren will arrive at NVC much earlier than my wife's I-130 petition. Thanks.

In this case, the lawyer was absolutely correct.  Make sure each child's I-130 petition is complete with all the necessary documents including birth certificates and your marriage certificate, showing their mother married you.  Birth Certificates show your wife is their mother and your marriage certificate shows their mother is your wife, so that they are your step children.  Be aware that she will need the father's permission or a court order giving her full custody, in order to bring the children to the USA, unless their father is dead.
