  1. We had our interview 11-12-19.  98% of the info they asked to bring was not even looked at or asked for.  It went fast and easy.  HOWEVER... we were notified they lost the medical records for K2 child.  We were now notified my wife will get her conditional green card and we need to do the medical all over again for K2.  It is not easy finding a doctor and their website listing doctors is not up to date.  Good luck to everyone.

This is for MY biological child, Her step-child.  "Child" being 17 years old...  Really?!?!?  Just insane!  Yes, she's on the list, but really...required to bring it to the Interview?!?!?!????!?!?!??!?!?!??  The "Child" could literally sign herself out of school!

That is just insane.  Im not sure my exwife would like to see her as having authority to sign my biological student out of school.  My 17 year old daughter is in college now (out of state) and my 13 year old is in Jr High.  Her son (K2) is 17 and I have that authority.  I guess I can add her and get that printed off to suffice the requirement that they dont notify us to bring.

  3. We received RFE the other day for K2.  Very confusing at it stated we did not list the K2 as the primary immigrant on the affidavit of support.  So needed to do that again and send current tax forms.  That was it.  Confusing because that is exactly how it was presented on the affidavit of support and they did get the most recent taxes and prior 2 years as well.  Oh well, just sent the same again.

We also had biometrics yesterday.  3 hour drive there and took less than 5 minutes at the office, then 3 hours back.  Just a pain in the *** to take finger prints again, picture again and sign a paper again.

    Wish you all the best

  4. My fiance flew in to Manila on Tuesday morning.  Went to the hotel and checked in.  Both of them (her and her son) got something to eat, then went to SLEC around noon, maybe a little after.  2 1/2 hours later, they were done.  Went back the next day at 2pm, had vaccinations and received their packets.  Not many people were in there when she got there.

Welcome to the group. But this area is pretty much people waiting for their case number and they use it as a spring board to the next steps. Speaking of next steps I will include some proving information that will allow you to complete your visa at USEM much faster and without hiccups. On couple did it in 22 days by having all their documents ready before hand and then scheduling Medical, CFO and the Interview in the same week. So here is the information and I highly recommend that once you get your case number move over to the Philippines sub forum where most of us hang to help with the Philippines process. You can ask all the questions there and we have experience and can guide in the right direction. It's better than a lawyer as we don't charge you anything and we don't screw up like lawyers do.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get down. To smooth that trail for your I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

Thank you very much.  We have done our research and read a lot, so we are feeling comfortable at this point.  We are not in a rush right now as our plans are to schedule medical and interview end of October.  Careful planning and making sure everything is done properly and very well organized is the key to this success.
