    Office Location: Tampa, FL

    Interview: 8/9/2022

    Filed in February 2022

The officer was a very sweet friendly and compassionate lady. She made sure to make it non-stressful, it really depends who you get. They asked for appointment letter, passport and green card. If you recently had a baby, they will add Birth Certificate to the file. I was offered to have oath ceremony tomorrow, same location.

Had to confirm my name, my address, few questions on N400 were asked about oath and weapons (Yes or No).

Since I answered everything correctly, I was only asked 6 questions:

    1) How many senators (100)

    2) Who is the senator of your state

    3) The border with Canada (New York)

    4) What is the highest court (Supreme)

    5) Who is the President of the US? (Joe Biden)

    6) For how many years we elect senator? (6 years)

Write: Washington is the Father of our country. (You will be offered tablet and stylus)

    Read a sentence.

Pretty pleasant experience! You got this, just breathe and smile.

Oath ceremony is over. Oath ceremony in Tampa was super quick, letter said it will start at 10am, they let you in 30 mins prior to that. By 10:15am we left the building. Done, done and done. No pics allowed inside, but you can take outside. Congrats to everyone, you are already on finish line!

  3. So, the question in the N-400 application is "Have you taken a trip outside of the United States in the last 5 years?", and then you have to list all your trips outside the US.  I assume this question was written for those who are applying on the basis of 5 years of permanent residency, and it hasn't been adjusted to take account of the fact that people (like me) are eligible to apply for citizenship after only 3 years of residency.  I think the question is probably intended to ask "have you taken a trip outside the United States since you became a lawful permanent resident"...

So, if applying for citizenship on the basis of 3 years' permanent residency, do you answer this question: (a) with 3 years of travel history (which doesn't strictly answer the question as-written, but answers it in terms of travel taken since becoming a lawful permanent resident), or (b) 5 years of travel history (which will include 2 years when I wasn't living in the US)?!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Congressman only works if there is something out of norm happening only with you. So going there just because Its taking a while to get your greencard (just like everyone else) wont work. Anyways, just got my 24 month extension. Btw the 24 month extension from from the expiration date of the greencard or it 18 month (original extension) + 24 months?

24 months from the expiration of the green card, it is stated in the letter with bold line

    Hi Guy,
I am new to this form. I filed I-751 on Jan,27 (EAC center). Finger prints waived March 9th but haven't heard anything since then.
Just want to make sure I am not the only one in this boat.
    Thanks

I am LIN applicant, filed in the beginning of January 2021, Finger prints waived April 30, still haven't heard anything...

Looks like we are all in the same boat.

I believe mine was similar. I hadn't received the waiver by April 12 but I know it came sometime after that, though I didn't write down the exact time I got the waiver. So you might be a couple weeks behind me.

Unfortunately my USCIS letter didn't arrive as my Informed Digest said it would so I'm not sure if that was my approval notice or what.

Thank you so much for sharing. Wishing you all the best on all your further applications!🙂

Yes I got a biometrics waiver and then card approved. I received my 10-year GC in the mail yesterday.

Come to think of it, I'm getting a letter from USCIS today and I bet that's the NOA that says my I-751 was approved.

Dustin, thank you so much for replying. It gives me relief that LIN is moving some way.

Would you mind sharing when did you get your Biometrics notification?

I got my biometric waiver in the end of April and trying to understand where LIN is at.

Received text tonight... question— what does it mean when your receipt number is WAC vs MSC? 😕

    WAC - California Service Center

    MSC - Missouri Service Center

if you get WAC, your interview might be waived.

“For example, the speakers confirmed that I-751 receipt numbers with the prefix MSC are routed for interview scheduling; receipt numbers that do not contain the MSC prefix (e.g., EAC, VSC, LIN, etc.) are routed to the appropriate service center for an interview waiver determination.”

We have the same timeline but for my understanding...I came in the US on May 2018 but only got my permanent residency card on April 2019. So technically, it's only been 2 years this year that I am considered a legal permanent resident of the US. Therefore, I can file for N-400 in April of 2022 which is the 3rd year of being a legal permanent resident.

I hope this kinda makes sense. :)

Hi, I don’t think that’s accurate. I have similar timeline with yours. You got your card on 4/05/2019 (i picked 5th as random date of April). Assuming you are married to US citizen, your 3rd anniversary would be 4/5/2022. Since you can file 90 days before that, the earliest you can file is 01/05/2022. So you can start filing in January 2022! Hope that helps.
